Chapter 3

Jacqueline’s POV Camilla's parents' mansion is so huge that even the parking space is more than enough. There’s also a beautiful large garden. Honestly, I was mesmerized by the ambiance; if the outside looked this lovely, I couldn’t wait to see the inside. I had to admit I was feeling moody about Andrew because he kept popping up in my head. Normally, I would have texted him to say I was going to a party, but I decided against it since there had been no communication between us anymore. When Drey finally found a parking spot close to the mansion, we got out of the car, and I started to feel a bit uneasy. Tracy noticed and assured me that everything would be fine. "By 1 am, we should be back here, alright Drey?" I asked. He nodded in agreement. We all walked into Camilla's huge home, where she was at the entrance welcoming guests. Thank goodness I had chosen a casual outfit; some people were dressed like they had come for a slumber party, despite the beautiful scenery. Inside, there were drinks, games, and people gathered by the pool. I love swimming, but not today. I made my way to the kitchen because, by the time we arrived, some guests were already drunk and the music was blaring. As I opened the kitchen door, I was shocked to find my "caring" boyfriend with his face being devoured by a random girl. Startled, he pushed the girl away and asked, "What are you doing here?" "Really? That’s your question? What am I doing here?" I replied, angry. "I've been trying to get in touch with you, but you haven’t responded. What's your excuse now? Because it looks like you’ve been too busy going on random dates with other girls instead of making time for your girlfriend. And then you have the nerve to ask what I'm looking for here? Well, your newly found love, Camilla, invited me to the party." "First off, Camilla is my cousin. Secondly, you know you’re the reason I’ve gone back to my old self. You chose not to give me what I wanted." "Andrew, we were both young in high school. I didn’t want to give it up then, and I’m glad I didn’t. What stops you from waiting until I'm ready? I made that clear even before we started dating. And now you’re making it sound like I’m the reason you’ve turned into a 'f**k boy.' You know what? Just enjoy your time with your drunk girl. I’m honestly done with this." With that, I left the kitchen, tears brimming in my eyes, and searched for the bathroom. I found one, washed my face to hide the evidence of my crying, and wiped my tears away with a tissue before heading back to the party, trying to appear carefree. I started drinking heavily to try to forget my worries. I played beer pong and was surprisingly good at it, even though I had never played before. I loved the energy and the carefree feeling that the alcohol provided. I danced so hard that my feet were hurting. Eventually, though, I felt dizzy, so I decided to step outside for some fresh air. As soon as I got outside, I threw up badly and almost fell over, still dizzy. Just then, I felt someone hold my waist, steadying me so I could lean forward to throw up properly. When I was done, he handed me a bottle of water. After taking a sip, I used the rest to wash my face, and then we made our way to the garden to sit down. He sat on the grass while I lay back, feeling a bit better. "Jacqueline," he said. I was puzzled—how did this person know my name? I opened my eyes to see who had helped me; it was Drey. "Yes, Drey?" I responded weakly. "Never mind. We can talk about it when you feel better," he said. "Okay," I replied, then zoned out again. Drey’s POV After I got the text from Jacqueline, I looked for Daniella, so I went to her room to check if she's there, this girl is so lazy that she literally doesn't do any fun activity she's just in bed all day, if she's not in her room she's in the kitchen for food. "Daniella!!" "I'm in the bathroom just hold on" she responded. "Daniella, would you like to go to a party?" "Hold on I can't hear you properly, just give me a minute" So I left her room for the living room, turned on the TV to watch "How I Met Your Mother", I love this series, I can't get tired of it. "Drey you came looking for me, any problem" Daniella said walking into the living room. "Yeah not really, I just wanted to know if you'd like to go to a party" "Nahh I'd pass not today, maybe some other time, and I also don't want to see my brother drunk and smooching on any girl's face," she said laughing, and I didn't care much. I dozed off on the couch, but Daniella decided to wake me up just because she wanted to train cause she was bored. "Daniella you really need friends," I said, covering my face with my hands out of frustration, 'cause that's a stupid reason to actually wake me up. "Why didn't you ask Bob to help you out?" I asked her, "Well....he's asleep and I don't want to disturb him" This time I sat up looking at her in disbelief. But I'm up already, so I had no choice too and it's been a while. We got to the back of the house where everything was set up. Luckily my dad made it large and soundproof so no neighbor can hear the sound of any gunshots. The purpose was to make our aiming better and not always miss a shot. My sister chose to use a shotgun today, and her aiming is really bad and the funny part is we've both been handling a gun since we were little the only difference now is we don't use ear and eye protection anymore. After several rounds of prepping her on her stance, grip, and breathing, she seemed a bit better but she still couldn't hit the bullseye. So we went inside to eat cause I was really hungry. I cooked fried rice and I was thankful that Bob stocked up the house with some groceries. Yeah, I love to cook cause of my mum she loves international dishes and she makes me help her out in the kitchen same with my sister. After eating Daniella cleared the dishes and I went to my room to rest before the party. I slept off again and by the time I woke up it was already 6:30 and yeah I had a relaxing day today cause I did not go to school, I wonder if Jacqueline went to school. I had my bath, got dressed and sprayed the perfume that Jacqueline liked and complimented, but before I stepped out I got a call from an unknown number I answered but no one spoke or said anything and I did same, so I hung up after a while anyway but I was just wandering who it could be cause I caught off every communication i had with my friends, they all think I'm dead. Anyway, I did not think much of it and by the time I was all done it was almost time so I texted Jacqueline to let her know I'm on my way. I grabbed my keys, then I left.
