The truth about the missing persons

1159 Words
“What do you mean when you said capturing humans?” Xerxes wants to further understand what the elf meant since he has a bad feeling about the he said. “Like I said capturing humans, those guys over there are catching and baiting humans and brings them to that side. My people and I do not mingle with them solely because we hate other humanoid creatures such as yourself.” He said and confirms the truth about what he somewhat know about elves. “But there is another reason, those guys are quite barbaric and ruthless. There was a time when one of my people got capture because she was interested and curious about that red light that they shot in the sky. That elf got captured and r***d. She eventually died of abuse and hunger. By the time we arrive to their camp to somehow bring her back, we found them feasting of her flesh like some mad dogs.” The elf added with an angered expression that left the three in horror. ‘Just as I thought, that place is hell. The thing that I fear just had to be it. Cannibalism.’ Xerxes thinks to himself as he tries to make sense of the situation. ‘To think that they would resort to such a thing but who can blame them? Amidst this broken and forsaken world overrun by monsters, those people just did what they could think of in order to survive. Still, killing and eating your own people, is another matter.’ Rupert sees how disturbed their master is and tries to confirm the authenticity of the elf’s claims. “You dare doubt my words human? I was there, I was there when we went to that horrifying place!” Seeing the elf almost lost his cool Rupert apologizes to him. “I’m so sorry about what I have asked you but I just wanted to make sure of your claims. Its not that I doubt your words but we are here to find the missing person. From your words alone, you are giving us the idea of stop looking for those people since they might have already been eaten.” Rupert said as the elf calms down and added. BUDUMP! BUDUMP! BUDUMP! BUDUMP! BUDUMP! “There is no way I would mistake it. I know how my elder sister’s hand was and the corpse that I found wears the same ring as hers.” The words of the elf made the three speechless as Rupert greatly regrets making the elf recall a dark past. “I’m sorry for your loss. I feel party guilty because it’s my race that had committed such vile acts. I apologize on their behalf and I do find their acts unforgivable. So let us punish them righteously.” Xerxes said as the elf also volunteers to exact vengeance but Xerxes stops him. “I’m afraid I can’t let you do that. I’m sure you are itching to get a c***k at them and maybe that is the reason why you are running around this place but that is an act that my race did. I cannot allow other species to intervene.” The elf then grabs his collar and swears at his face. “Don’t play with me human. You want to set them free aren’t you? They are the same race as you after all.” The elf said as Xerxes forcedly grabs his hands. “Don’t misunderstand what my intentions Mr. Elf, I am a person that  is rational enough to make a proper decision. Plus, I can’t just let people who turn to eat other people go, the moment they step beyond that line of being called human, they have ceased to be one. Letting them let go will do anything but good.” Xerxes added as the elf realizes that he is wrong. “Tell me, is there a way to reach that part of the land?” Xerxes ask the elf as he points at the place covered in weeds and grass. “You came in a great timing, the moon is full tomorrow and when it does. The water surrounding that place gets further back. You can reach that place just by walking.” The elf said. Morning came and the three have already devised a plan as the elf just listens to them earnestly like he is also a part of it. “Oi, Mr. Elf, you look like you are interested in the works of humans.” Ramirez said while provoking the elf who is aware of what he wants to do. “There is no way that trick would work on me human. You are still too green to provoke me like that.” The elf said with an unmoving expression. “That would be everything. I have already scout where the perfect place to go but I will continue to look for some other places.” The other two then nod their heads and went to prepare their flintlocks which greatly interest the elf. “Human, what is that thing?” Ramirez looks at him blankly while trying his best not to argue with the elf. “This is our weapon and I also have a name so please call me by my name, I would greatly appreciate it.” He said but Xerxes had already told them that due to the elf’s pride of considering themselves the best and perfect creatures, they will always look down on other creatures as well. “Hmmmm, is that so. Then tell me your names.” The elf’s words surprise them,  it went differently as what they expected. “I am Ramirez and this is Rupert and that one is our master, Xerxes. What’s your name?” the elf turns to Xerxes after hearing this and ask. “Master? But aren’t you younger than them?” Xerxes figured that the elf would say that so he tells him about staying inside the portal for almost 28 years and seclude himself from all the people he knows. “Then how come you were able to get these guys loyalty?” the elf continues to ask and with his question the three laughs. “Hahaha, that comes way back. We were overrun by orcs like 31 years ago or so and he is the one that saved us.” Rupert answers and surprised the elf with his response. ‘Is it fate that brought us together? The elf thinks to himself as he stares at the three and finally remembers the day when they slaughtered the orcs near the portal and manage to save a human. The elf smiles and introduce himself to the humans. “I am Kusaf.”
