Samantha
"Yeah, but how though?" I asked in. I was curious. How did one of my best friends, know my mate? I saw Serena eye Emma for the slightest second and then Emma gasped.
"You didn't!" she shouted and Serena shushed her. "Please tell me you're drunk and you're lying. Please, tell me that." Emma continued to beg and we continued to stare at her and Serena. It looked like neither was spilling so I turned to the to Blake.
"How do you guys know each other?" I questioned Blake. He looked a little furious but he shrugged. "What do you mean you don't know?"
"It's been years Sam. I'm supposed to remember how I met one of your best friends?"
"Obviously," I pouted.
What did you do? I asked Serena and she didn’t respond. What did she do? I asked Emma this time.
I don't think you want to know.
Damn it, Emma! I thought you were my best friend!
I am!
Best friends don't keep secrets from each other. I saw Emma frown and whimper.
"Tell me," I commanded.
"Andre?" Emma said.
"Does he know too?!" I shouted and Emma shook her head and then whispers in his ear. We all heard: "What was the first birthday present you gave me?" She pulled back and stared at him.
"We-" Emma covered his mouth before more information was spilled. She pulled it back and allowed Andre to talk. "That's what they did?!" he roared and Emma nodded. At this point, I was the most clueless person at this table. And honestly, I was tired of it.
"Excuse me, Adrian," I muttered and began to get up from the booth. Someone grabbed my wrist and I immediately knew who it belonged to based on the tingles that flowed through my body. It always felt like this whenever we made contact. "Don't," I whispered pulling my arm back with extreme force. Adrian hesitated from moving so I just shoved him out of my way. I only took a few steps before I received a thought.
She slept with him.
I stopped dead in my tracks, feeling the anger build up in me. Instead of lashing out I simply turned to Serena.
"When do you plan on leaving?"
"Tomorrow morning, why?"
Call me, I have the same number. I'm going with you, and don't tell anybody. You owe me that much. If you tell anyone, I will be the least of the problems. I turned back and walked away. I go to the back of the club towards the bathroom when an arm stopped me.
"Blake, I swear to God if you don't let me go," I began.
"It's not Blake," Adrian said and I turn to him and he has a scared face on. "Sam, don't go."
"I was just going to the bathroom," I lied. I was actually planning on jumping out the window and walking to the nearest cheapest hotel.
"Blake didn't know," he whispered.
"I don't care if he didn't know. The point is that he did it."
"The point is: you have to forgive them."
"The point is that you have to let go of with my wrist."
I pulled my arm back again and made my way to the bathroom. I saw that no one was in the stalls and that there was a window. I remembered it from the last time I was here. I took off my heels and stood on top of the cold counter. I lifted the window and stuck one of my feet outside and sat on the ledge. I grabbed my heels and jumped down. The building was only one story but the window was kind of high so I fell a good three feet at least.
The grass was very cold and I realized that there was snow and it was freezing. I shivered and asked Siri where the cheapest motel was. There was one less than a half a mile away from me and it cost $6 a night, which was great. I began walking, hugging myself, trying to keep warm.
Less than twenty minutes later, I made it to the motel. I knew it was really late but I was glad they were open. I told the guy behind the desk that I needed a room, with a tub, for only one night. He gave me a weird look but gave me the key and directions.
I made it to room 32 and unlocked the door. Inside was pretty average: one full-size bed, a bathroom, a little table, two lamps, and a lame TV. I locked the door and ran straight into the bathroom into the tub that I had requested and beginning bawling my eyes out. A few seconds later, my feet and dress disappeared and I turned into a mermaid.
My tail was an ugly olive green color. And since I was only wearing a dress, I was half naked, but I didn't care. I just continued to cry and cry, until I cried myself asleep.
