'Hello, Cynthia.' Kosi called Cynthia who was walking with speed.

'Good evening.' Cynthia greeted.

'How're you doing?' Kosi asked.

'Please is you want to say anything, you can say it. As you can see, I was rushing somewhere.'Cynthia told her.

'Haba. Cynthia, aren't we friends again?' Kosi asked.

'We are not. Our friendship ended the day you started moving about, with those girls.' Cynthia told her rudely.

'I heard about what happened to Chioma. How is she now? Kosi asked.

'Is that how a friend behaves? Kosi asked and continued:

'Anyways, she is fine.'

'I just heard about what happened few days ago.' Kosi said. 'She must be annoyed, can I come to visit her?'.

'No, you can't.' Cynthia replied. 'Bye.'

'Maybe, she wants to come and strangle my chommy with her eyes. Ooh God, heal Chioma.' Cynthia prayed.

Chioma's condition was getting worse. All medications didn't help. She wondered why the angel of the Lord hasn't visited her yet.

Cynthia was a good friend. She was always praying and believed that nothing will happen to her friend. She prayed that God will use both of them and for her friend to recover quickly.

The Ogbanje girls gathered at their place of meeting to set their evil plans.

'Good evening, girls.' Daniella greeted everyone after a long silence.

'How is it going, Kosi?' Daniella asked facing Kosi.

'It is not going well.' Cynthia replied.

'When will it ever go well? Daniella asked feigning annoyance. She knew the young girl was trying.

'Cynthia is very hard to get. She is very rude.' Kosi replied.

'Who is ever simple to get?' Daniella asked but, Kosi kept mute.

'I think I'll take care of Cynthia. We will see who wins the race. Daniella said.

'Cynthia, we will know who wins the race.' Ruka said with a mean face.

With the exception of Daniella and Bose, all of the girls started laughing when one of them yelled, "Alika."

'Good morning, sir.' The vice principal greeted the principal after she took a seat. They exchanged pleasantries and the vice principal said:

'Sir, I visited that seer that the history teacher spoke about, I visited him about my family issues. Hopefully, he gave me the solutions to it. After informing him about this school, he asked me to come back with two other people.

Bose was listening in while they were speaking. After catching her, the biology teacher summoned her to the staff room.

'How are you doing?' Mrs. Lilian

'What were you doing beside the principal's office? Mrs Lilian asked.

'Erm, nothing.' Bose replied.

'Don't you dare try to lie to me? Answer my question now! Mrs Lilian commanded.

'I saw some lizards that side, so I was chasing it away from the principal's office.' Bose told a lie.

'Since when did you start chasing lizards? And besides, there are no lizards in this compound.' Mrs. Lilian said.

'Exactly, ma'am. That was why I chased it because I've never seen a lizard in this school.' Bose replied.

'Hmm, Bose. Mind yourself before you make yourself a suspect. Do you understand?:

'Yes, ma'am.'

'Now, go back to your class.' Lilian commanded.

'Chioma, we must win! Don't lose hope, girl.' Cynthia encouraged her.'

'I won't give up. I will stand firm in my faith. God will do a miracle through us.' Chioma answered back.

'Thank you for being beside me. I thank God for bringing you to me.' Chioma appreciated.

'You're welcome, girly. We will keep winning!' Cynthia said.

At night, the queen's mother visited Daniella.

'Good evening, Mother.' Daniella greeted Adaugo.

'How're you doing, Adaeze?' Adaugo asked.

'Nne, the issue is getting worse.' Daniella complained.

'You see that girl. She is very spiritual. I've never handled that kind of people before. She is the most hard person I've come across, in this my witch journey.' Adaugo said.

'I'm tired. I was thinking of visiting you. That girl is tough.' Daniella said.

'That girl doesn't want to die. But don't worry, I'll send you a support hand.' Adaugo said.

'Wow! You will?' Daniella asked again.

'Yes. She will come here as a Hyh.' Adaugo said.

'Thank you so much, ma'am.'

'You're welcome. Bye for now.Hyh Keep representing me well.' Adaugo said and disappeared.

The next day, Daniella broke the news to Bose and asked her to tell other girls.

That was because Mrs Lilian had announced at the assembly ground that, any students Father e together will be punished and also taken to a spiritualist home. She told the students that she was desperate to fish out the ogbanje girls. She urged the students to report to her, students that discuss in groups.

Bose told the other girls the news. They were all happy. Daniella was with Helen discussing when they heard a knock at the gate. The school gateman went and unlocked the gate for her.

'Perhaps, she should be the new teacher.' Daniella thought and she was right.

The woman was directed to the principal's office and was later introduced to the seniors as their economic teacher, and business studies teacher for the juniors.

Later, the teacher whom introduced as herself as 'Lucy' sent for Adaeze. That was when she and settled down in the teacher's lodge with the help of tge labor and house prefects. After she was done, she sent for Adaeze 'Daniella.'

Daniella went to meet her.

'Good evening, ma'am.' Daniella greeted.

'You're Adaeze, right?' Lucy asked.

'Yes, ma'am. You're the person my mum promised to send, right?'

'No.' Lucy replied. Daniella was shocked.

'Yes, I am. I just wanted to prank you.' Lucy said smiling.

'You made me afraid. Are you new in our kingdom, ma'am?' Daniella asked.

'Yes, I am.'

'No wonder, I don't know you.' Daniella responded.

'Wow! Finally, I've met Adaeze. The wonderful daughter of our queen. Nice meeting you.' Lucy said with excitement.

'Nice meeting you, too.'

'I guess mother has told you everything. Please, you will come tomorrow for us to execute our plans. Mother fortified me and I'll also fortify you too.'

'Okay, have a good night rest.' Daniella said and left with excitement.

She bumped on someone, it was Cynthia. They stared at each other and then, Daniella hissed and left.

'What's this one up to, now?' Cynthia asked no one in particular.
