-Mary’s POV- I watched Aiden run out of the dining hall and I sat there wondering what to do. He asked me not to go outside so that I would be safe. I did not know what safe was. For the last two years I spent every minute of every day chained to a bed and abused in every way possible. Any way you could think of, I have been thru. A tear rolled down my cheek. I wiped it away and decided to explore the packhouse. I get up and begin to walk out of the hall and into the hallway. I look around and see the stairs that I came down and a long hallway just past them. “I wonder what’s down there.” I began to walk down the dark hall and a light comes on. I spun around and there was a man standing there. His eyes looked familiar, but I could not figure it out. “Who are you?” the man spoke with memories. I stuttered a bit answering him. “I…. I…. I’m Mary.” He c****d his head to the side and looked at me. He walked closer to me and I tried to back away from him. When my back hit the wall, I flinched. “Mary?” He seemed to be trying to remember something long forgotten. “Mary….” He took another step toward me. I closed my eyes and looked away from him. He spun me around and pushed me against the wall. I began to shake in fear that I was going to be abused again. He grabbed my hair, that I left down and pulled it to the side to reveal my neck. He gasped and backed away from me. “CARSON!” I heard Aiden yell from down the hall. I fell to the floor in tears holding myself around my stomach. “Aiden, what’s the matter?” I watched Aiden almost run to me. Me stepped in between Carson and myself protectively. “What the f**k are you doing?” The growl in his voice was dominating and powerful. “I know her.” Aiden still had a growl in his voice. “Explain.” Carson took a deep breath and then began. “On the back of her neck, she has a five-point star birth mark. I know that mark.” Aiden turned to me and held out his hand. I took it and I took it. He pulled me to my feet gently. “May I?” I nodded and turned my back to him. He moved my hair to the side exposing my neck to him. I got a chill thru my body he traces the birth mark. I take a deep breath and hold it in. “There it is.” I slowly turned to face Aiden as he still had my hair in his hand. He lets go of my hair as I look into his eyes. Something inside me feels weird, but I cannot figure it out. Carson took a step closer to me and looked into my eyes. With a snap and a smile, he throws his arms around me. I gasp and start to shake in fear. “Sister!” He released me and took a step away when he realized that I was shaking in fear. “What did you call me?” Aiden looked from Carson to myself a few times. “It’s me, Mary. Your brother. Don’t you remember me?” I grab Aiden’s arm so that he can protect me. I did not remember Carson at all and I was very scared of him. He touched me with force and it made me think about all the others. As of he could feel my fear because in the most authoritative voice, I have ever heard from him he spoke to Carson. “We will talk later, go.” “But, Aiden…” Carson tried to protest. “GO!” There was a growl in his word and it was like the entire house shook. Carson did not say another word. He walked away at a fast pace.
