Alone in the dark

Starting a new chapter

Ayla’s pov

Maybe i am being a baby and throwing a fit but i hate being kept in the dark about everything 

I am not a porcelain doll i wont crack under pressure 

I am strong and independent 

Dad and joe need to realize that 

“Ayla i am going to ask chaz if he will help me carry our bags down to the car, then we will head to the mall to get you new bras and then to our private jet!” Joe says 

“Yes master!” I say as i turn away from him 

The next thing i know i am against the wall being held by my throat 

I am in disbelief joe put his hands on me in anger!

“Joe get the f**k off of me now!” I scream

He doesnt listen he tightens his grip i can hardly breathe my lips and face are starting to tingle 

Then he lets go and i fall to the floor gasping for air 

Joe walks over to me as i am laying on the floor he grabs me by my hair pulling me to my feet 

“Dont you ever back talk me again!” He shouts 

Smack

He smacks me so hard across the face i know my cheek bone is broken atleast i heard it snap

Tears stream down my face 

Joe lets go of me and walks out of the room 

I pull my self together and run into the closet and grab a small bag and throw some clothes in it

I got a few outfits and an extra pair of shoes 

I then run into my old room and pop open the one floor board and grab my cash i have been saving for years 

I am sure there is around 100k in there i throw it all into my bag and slowly sneak down to the garage 

I grab my keys off the key rack on the wall and i start my car and open the door 

I drive and just keep driving dont look back 

I guess this is my new start bc i will be damned if i will be abused the rest of my days 

Joe has never acted this way 

He has never even screamed at me he sure as hell never put his hands on me 

I guess it’s just the pups and i now 

“Mommy will protect you guys!” I say as i rub my belly 

I drive and drive until night is setting upon me and i can hardly keep my eyes open 

I see a sign for a town 

12 miles to titusville 

I just hope they have a motel or hotel or hell even a bread and breakfast 

About 15 mins later i am in the town of Titusville 

It seems small but im sure they have something 

I pass many houses then i find a hotel called hampton inn

I pull into their parking lot and park by the main entrance 

I grab my wallet out of the glove box 

“Hello miss welcome to the Hampton inn” a nice young man greets me 

“Hello” i say 

“My name is dalton, how many nights will you be staying?” He asks 

“Uhm can i do 1 for now and decide if i want to stay longer and let you know in the morning?” I ask 

I can tell dalton is a wolf as well i can smell it on him 

“Yes absolutely. Is it just you and your pup and your mate as well” he asks 

“Just me and my pups and one more thing if anyone including my Alpha mate calls noone has seen me!” I say

“Understood miss, may i ask what happened to your face?” He asks 

“This is what happens when your Alpha mate gets a lil to violent!” I say as i pull out my card and license

I hand him my license and card 

“One night is $240” he says 

“Thats fine charge my card or i have cash” i say 

He charges my card and then he walks me to my room 

“Ayla dont worry I won’t tell anyone your here, just be careful!” He says

“How did you know my name” i ask 

“It was on your license and debit card” he says and i laugh

“Oh right” i say

“Well this is your room! If you need me diall *112 and it will send the call to the desk breakfast is served between 7-10am then lunch from 12-2 and dinner is 4-7 every night” he says 

“Okay well thank you but do you have snacks or is there a near by place to eat i am starving” i say 

“We actually have left over steak mashed potatoes and gravy with a roll and mixed veggies” he says

“That would be great” i say

He then opens my door where i set my bag down 

“Follow me and i will get you some food 

He leads me into the kitchen and the places 3 big steaks on a plate with a huge portion of mashed potatoes and gravy and 5 rolls and mixed veggies then he places it into the oven to heat it for me i set on a near by stool and patiently wait

Avout 15 mins later and he hands me my place 

I cant wait no longer i am starving i eat it all in no time

“Hungry i see” dalton jokes

“Very, i drove a long time and never stopped to eat” i say 

Dalton and i sit and talk 

I learned his mate was killed bc she was a rouge 

How awful rouge or not he was her mate and they should not of killed her

I look at the clock on the wall and its 3:52am 

“Well it was nice talking to you but i must get some sleep.” I say as i stand up 

“Absolutely good night Ayla” he says as i walk out of the kitchen and head to my room 

Joes pov

I lost my temper i hurt Ayla very badly 

I dont know whats going on 

Fuck i really hurt my pregnant mate  what is wrong with me

I bruised her neck broke wtleast her cheek bone 

Gosh i am a i***t 

I load the bags into the car 

And head up to talk to Ayla 

“Baby i am so sorry i have no idea what came over me” i say

“Ayla” i yell 

She is gone 

I rush down stairs 

“Has anyone seen Ayla?” I shout 

“She left in her car 1-2 hrs ago” liam says(he is the beta to be) 

“Why didn’t anyone tell me f**k!” I yell as i run to my dads office 

“Dad Ayla is gone! I f****d up i hurt her and she left f**k dad i f****d up! I lost her! I dont know whats going on with me but i lost my s**t” i ramble to my dad

“Ok son we will find her! You know better than to place your hands onto a women and a pregnant wolf st that! What the hell is wrong eith you son!” My dad shouts at me

I deserve that and more!

“Dad i dont know i lost it and i couldn’t control it even as i seen tears streaming down her face my body refused to let me stop it took all i had to let her go!” I say crying
