Chapter 9 Ava Jerra waved to Ava as she left for the evening. The café was closed, and they had just finished up cleaning everything and storing the leftovers. Ava tried to ward off the disappointment she was feeling from Terrell not showing back up. Part of her knew it was perfectly logical for him to not come back to the café for the second time in a day. He did have a life, after all. The other part felt worried that she could already be so let down by a man she’d just met. If she was already stressing over him, shouldn’t that be a sign he’s not worth it? After over analyzing the matter for an hour, she finally gave up and settled on a nice soak in her tub after the long day she had put in. Most of it had been her fault.
