Family Has My Back

Thalia POV:

I woke up from my nap and found my new mom sitting next to me in the seat that Leo had been in. I was so happy that I had a mom that would love me for who I was for the rest of my life. I sat up and rubbed my eyes and looked at her.

"Mom, where did daddy and Leo go? I was hoping that I would be able to spend more time with everyone." I asked as soon as she realized that I was up.

"Oh, your dad had to go do some pack work and Leo went to go get your stuff. Don't worry, he won't forget your pup. So the doctor said that you could leave now if you wanted to. I brought you a pair of your brother's basketball shorts and a tank top that is too big for me. Why don't you go and take a shower and get changed, and then we can go bug your dad." I nodded and took the clothes from her and went into the bathroom. I made sure that I took a very fast shower because I really wanted to go see my new dad. I went out and mom took my hand and started to lead me to the pack house that was not far from the hospital. I found myself in awe of the beautiful building that was in front of me. It had a modern Victorian vibe to it and I loved it. When we went inside, mom told me to go up 3 levels of the stairs and knock on the second door on the left side. It was where dad was as it was his office and I would always be allowed in as long as I was invited in. I quickly made my way up and knocked on the door and waited for dad to tell me to come in. When he did, I opened the door and skipped over to him.

"Hi daddy! The doctor told mama that I could go home now. Is Leo back yet? I really want to see my little girl. I miss her so much and could use a cuddle from her." I asked as I walked up next to him and started giving him a hug from the side. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me back. Before dad could answer me, there was a voice coming from the phone that was right in front of dad.

"Uncle, is that her? Can she hear us?" OMG that voice had me feeling weak in the knees. Sapphire's ears perked up as soon as she heard that voice as well. Dad silently chuckled at me as if he knew a secret that I didn't.

"Oh hello there! Daddy, I didn't know that you were on a phone call. I am so sorry for interrupting you." I stuttered out.

"Oh no darling. You are fine. I actually would like for you to say hi. On the phone are Ian, Delia and Ares. They are really good friends of ours and they are also the royal family. I was calling them to tell them about you, and I was going to ask them if they knew any human lawyers to handle your divorce for you." dad said as he pulled me onto his lap. I snuggled into him and started to get comfy. This man would do anything for me and I have never felt more safe than in his or Leo's arms. Dad nudged me and I looked at him. He looked amused as he nodded to the phone as to remind me that there were still people there for me to talk to.

"Oh ok. Ummm well then hello there. I am Thalia and I guess I am the newest member of this pack and family here. Daddy , do you know when Leo will be back?" I stuttered out while blushing so hard because I was so embarrassed. I can't believe that I forgot that there were people on the phone just seconds after dad had told me.

"Not yet, sweetie, but I will let you know when I do OK? How about you go ask your mama to show you to your room, and we will talk later, OK?" dad said with a s**t eating grin on his face. Nodding, I got up and started walking to the door.

"OK daddy. Ummm bye everyone." With that I scampered out of the room and walked down the hallway. I stopped at the top of the stairs and leaned against the wall. Closing my eyes, I let my mind wander back to the voice that was coming from the phone. Why did his voice make me feel all warm and fuzzy? I had never met the guy and all I wanted to do was have myself surrounded by that voice.

"Honey, are you OK? Your dad told me that you were ready to see your new room. Why are you just standing here at the top of the stairs?" Mom was walking up the stairs and came over to me. I told her about what happened in dad's office and how I was feeling. Mom chuckled and motioned me to follow her back to dad's office. I followed her in and shut the door behind me.

"Hi my girls. Is everything OK?" Dad looked up at us as we walked in with a soft look on his face.

"Hey darling. I think we need to have the mate talk with our daughter here. When she heard Ares's voice, apparently she started going weak in the knees and all that jazz. She seems to think that there is something wrong with her about feeling that way about someone that she has never met." Mom said as she went around to where dad was and sat in his lap. Dad wrapped his arms around mom and pulled her closer to him. I sat in the chair in front of the desk and smiled as I watched them interact with one another. I wanted what they had. I wanted that unlimited love that would never fail, and I wanted a love that didn't just want to play video games with their mother like there wasn't anything better to do. Wait...did she just say mate?

"Wait, mama, did you just say mate? Do you think that Ares is my mate and that is why my body is responding to his voice like that? Will he hate me for being....well you know.....not pure?" I asked with a quiet hurt voice. I started shaking where I sat. Oh, if he is my mate, I hope that he won't hate me for not waiting for me. Tears started clouding my vision and were starting to fall down my face. I can see dad move mom off of his lap and head around his desk to pick me up. He held me to his chest and I just cuddled into him, crying and soaking his shirt. Both mom and dad sat there cooing at me and holding me. Dad lifted my face and made me look straight into his eyes, "Let me tell you something about Ares little one. I have known that boy ever since he was born, and I can tell you that he will love you the way that you were always meant to be loved. Seeing the way that you are reacting to the thought of him, I know that for a fact that he is indeed your mate. For now, I don't want you to worry. Leo is on his way back with your pup and I have asked Rory to help you guys get everything up to your room. Tonight Ares is flying in, and I will need Leo to go get him. Here is your phone back. Someone from your work is blowing it up asking you to come in tomorrow and open. You can do that, but you need to let them know that you need to put in your 2 weeks. It isn't safe for you to work around humans, so I will have one of the guys go with you. Also, there is a pink truck out in the garage that your mother and I have decided to get you as a welcome home gift. Now wipe your eyes, little one, and go wait for your brother. We all love you and don't forget it."

I nodded and took my phone from dad and headed out of the room. I looked at my phone and, sure enough, my boss Camilla was messaging me begging me to come in tomorrow. I quickly sent her a message saying that I would be there tomorrow and that I needed to talk to her. I headed outside and waited for Leo to get back.
