Work Fiasco

Thalia POV:

When I saw Leo pulling up, I couldn't help but jump up and down in joy. I couldn't wait to see my pup, but I was also so happy to see my brother back home again. As soon as he had parked, I ran up to his door and yanked it open. Leo started laughing as he unbuckled and climbed out to hug me. He seemed really surprised when Freya didn't jump out of the car right away.

"How come she isn't jumping out of the truck, little one? I would have thought she would have been all over you." Leo asked me and I started laughing and held a finger up to him.

I turned to my very good girl. She was sitting in her seat looking at me, waiting for the command that she knew was coming from me. "Freya, come!" I said in a clear and direct voice. As soon I had said that, here came my wiggling girl. Freya dashed out of the truck and came straight at me, licking every piece of skin that she could reach. I giggled because I really missed this little goof ball. I played with her for a little bit before I decided to show Leo all she knew what to do. I looked right at Freya and said with a clear voice, "Freya, Sit down!" She sat immediately and looked straight at me waiting for her next command. "Freya, Down in front!" She quickly moved underneath my legs from the back and laid down. "Good girl, Stay." I looked up at Leo and told him how I had done all of her training myself but that she still needed more training because she is still young.

"Thank you, Leo, for saving her for me. I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have her with me. She is my best friend and I love her so much."

Leo took me into his arms and held me tightly. "Little one, I will always do things like that for you. You are my little sister and I would die to protect you and your heart. That pup of yours is a part of your heart and, therefore, there is no way I could leave her behind. Lia, look at me. I love you little sis and I always got you, OK?"

I nodded and hugged him even harder. "I know Leo. I love you too. Oh, before I forget, dad said that after you and Rory are done helping me get everything into my room, he needs you to meet him in the office. Something about picking Ares up from the airport tonight after dinner. I guess he didn't want to wait until tomorrow." Leo nodded and called Rory over to get everything out of the truck and into my room, which was right next door to his room. Between the three of us we made pretty quick work of moving me in. We all went down and enjoyed dinner with everyone else. After dinner, Leo left to go get Ares and I bid everyone goodnight because I needed to get up early to go to work. I crashed as soon as my head hit the pillow.

Leo POV:

I pulled up to the private field that Ares was coming in to. I was really excited about seeing him again as it had been a while since I had last seen him. I jumped out of the truck as soon I had seen his plane pull in. He ran out and was quick to come give me a hug. I started to hug him back when he started growling at me loudly.

"Dude, why do you smell like my mate? Are you hanging out with some new girl who isn't your mate?" I sniffed the shirt that I was wearing and all I could smell was my little Lia....wait Lia's scent..... Ares claiming that I smell like his mate…OH s**t!

"Dude, hold on! I hugged my new little sister before I left the house to come get you because she would be asleep by the time that we got home. I guess we know who my sister's mate is now. Oh, man, that is perfect."

"Wait, why is she going to be asleep before we get home tonight? I was hoping to meet her tonight." Ares asked me with a frown on his face.

"She has to go to her job over in Vacaville at Starbucks. She is opening up the store so she needed to go to sleep. Don't worry, you will get to meet her tomorrow after she gets off of work. Come on, let's head home. Mom and dad are waiting for us." I said and led him over to the truck and we took off. Tomorrow should be fun.

Thalia POV:

My alarm went off at 1:30 AM, and I was not ready for it, that is for sure. I go and use the restroom and get dressed. I spend a little time reading a book until it is time for me to leave. I grabbed my apron and headed out to the garage where my new truck is. I love the truck that mom and dad picked out for me. It was a pink F-150 that had a winch hookup on the front. It had programmable seat settings, so 2 people could have their own seat setup. I hopped in and took off for work. When I pulled up, I saw Camilla and Ron were already there and were about to walk in. I quickly park, grab my things and head in. The morning was a little slow for the most part but near the end of my shift things started to get really crazy. I was asked to go and clean up the lobby and when I did, some jerk decided that he was going to make things hard for me. He started pouring his drink onto his table real slowly while staring right at me. After asking him nicely not to do that, he scoffed and asked me what I was going to do about it. Sapphire was starting to show herself through my eyes at this point. I kept trying to hold her back because now wasn't the time for her to cause trouble. Rory was the backup that dad had sent for me, and he was starting to stand up to help me. I shook my head at him and motioned for him to sit down. Camilla was on her way over, and I was still struggling to get a hold on my wolf. I turned away from the guy and stood there with my eyes closed. Camilla demanded that the man leave before she called the police, and he did no questions asked.

"Thalia, are you ok sweetie? You look like something is wrong. I am so sorry for the way that he was treating you." Camilla came up behind me and placed a hand on my shoulder. Rory seemed to sense something that not even I did and he tried to tell her to get back. She looked at him and then at me. I opened my eyes and started growling at her to get her hand off of me right now. When she looked into my eyes, she gasped and reached to grab something from out of her apron. She pulled out a knife and pointed it at me.

"You are a filthy werewolf! How dare you even come in front of me, you mutt!" Camilla shrieked at me and started coming at me with the knife still pointed at me.

"Camilla, hold on. Wait just a moment. It is still me, I promise. Camilla, STOP!" I screamed at her as she slashed at me with the knife. She was able to get me on the arm before Ron was able to pull her back. She saw that it was iron holding her, and then she turned to me with a hard look on her face.

"You are never to step foot in here ever again. You are fired and banned from this store. Go clock out and grab your things and leave! Go on, GET!" I backed away from her and ran to the back of the store. I clocked out and motioned to Rory for us to go. As I walked out the door Ron followed to make sure that we left.

"If I or Camilla ever see you again, mutt, remember this. We are hunters and we will kill you. So keep an eye out." With that we left.

I grabbed my phone and called dad.

"Daddy, my boss is a hunter and she just fired me. Something is wrong daddy. Sapphire is clawing at me and demanding to be let out. I am so scared right now. I am having Rory drive because I can't stop shaking. Daddy, I need you! HELP ME!"

"Rory, I know you can hear me," Dad said calmly into the phone, "Take her to the meadow right now. We will meet you guys there. Something tells me that she is about to shift for the first time. Hang in there baby! I'll see you soon."

Rory put the truck into gear and took off as fast as he was able to. We were there pretty quickly and dad pulled my door open and grabbed me out and carried me to the middle of the meadow. It hurts Sapphire. Stop this please.
