Divorce Declared

Thalia's POV:

As I sat there hugging my new mother, I started to think about the mothers that I had growing up. All the mothers that I had all gave up on me. My biological mother had to give me up because my biological father was abusing me. I never got to see her again. My parents that adopted me were not ready for all the problems that came with a damaged daughter. They tossed me from home to home so that they never had to deal with me. One of the last homes was the worst because the father in the house had decided that all the foster girls that came into his home were his to do with as he pleased. I quickly decided to change my thought process, so I wouldn't fall into another attack. I looked over at Johnathan.

"How long have I been asleep for?" I asked as soon as my new mom let me go. He looked at me with a sheepish look. "I am so sorry sweetie, but you have been asleep for 2 weeks. We let your husband know and he informed your work. He has been coming every day to visit you. We were able to get them all another car since the one that was totaled was the only one that you guys had. Actually, he should be here any moment now. Oh, sweetie, are you OK?" At this point, I had started crying again and Johnathan moved over to the bed to hold me. Nodding and leaning on him as the tears were streaming down my face, I started to tell them what I had found out from Sapphire.

"Yes and no, I guess I could say. I am happy because I finally have a family that cares about me for me. However, Sapphire told me that my husband is not our fated mate. I am going to have to divorce him, and I am so scared. He loved me even after finding out what happened to me in my past. What if my mate finds out what happened to me and doesn't want me anymore?" I looked up at my new father and his eyes showed so many emotions in them. I could see love, pain and....anger? Not knowing if he was angry at me or not, I started to pull away from him. He gently pulled me back to him and held me in his lap while he started talking to me. "Baby, the anger in my eyes has nothing to do with you. I am angry that someone hurt you so much that you don't feel like you can be loved properly. I am angry at the thought of my little girl's mate not wanting her. I promise you if that was to happen to you, I would beat that person's ass, and then I would cuddle you. I love you sweetie and so do your mom and brother here. We will always protect you, no matter what."

I nodded at his words and was starting to cuddle close to him when I caught the smell of someone I was dreading talking to. My husband was here, and I was so scared to end everything with him. I looked up at my parents and asked them how I did this without breaking his and his family's hearts. Mom reminded me that I couldn't tell him what I was now, and so I just had to break his heart even if it hurt me more. She reminded me that they were all here for me and would help me piece myself back together again. I nodded and asked them to stay with me because I did not know how this was going to go.

Just then Percy walked in and stared at me with wide and surprised eyes. He rushed up to me and started to hug me. He had tears in his eyes as he told me that he missed me so much. I pushed him away from me and frowned back at him.

"You missed me?!?! How dare you say that to me. I asked you to come with me that night, remember? I asked you to come with me because I had a weird feeling about that night and I wanted you with me but all you wanted to do was play video games with your mother in our room!!! I am done Percy!! We are DONE!! I am divorcing you! You care more about your video game and spending time with your mother than spending time with me and our dog. Oh, that reminds me… I want my dog here now. She is my dog, and she will stay with me. I'll send Leo here for all of my things because I want nothing to do with your family ever again." With that, I laid back on my bed and turned away from him. Percy stood there with his mouth wide open in shock. He tried to beg me to forgive him and told me that I couldn't leave him. Saying that he loved me and still wanted me, but I refused to listen to him. He seemed to get the hint and turned to Leo. He asked him when he would be over and Leo told him that he would text him. Nodding, Percy walked out of the room and never turned back. I started bawling like a little baby and held myself as it felt like my heart was being torn apart. Dad and mom both got onto the bed on either side of me and held me tightly. Dad laid there quietly and just held me, while mom was stroking my hair and whispering to me that they had me. Leo had tears in his eyes, but he let mom and dad hold me, knowing that he would have a turn later. I cried until I fell asleep.

Johnathan's POV:

My poor baby girl. I could tell that was one of the hardest things she ever had to do. She is now sleeping with Pearl, my mate, lying next to her. She had cried herself to sleep, and I knew that she didn't want to deal with anything anytime soon. I looked at Leo and nodded for him to follow me. Getting up, I walked to the door and looked back to look at my mate and my new daughter who were sleeping together. I saw that just before he followed me, Leo leaned over and kissed both his mother and sister on the forehead. My son was a great man and I knew that Thalia couldn't have asked for a better protector. I cleared my throat and motioned to him to follow me. As we walked to the office, both of us were in our own heads. It really hurt to watch her go through that. I knew it needed to be done, but I did not know that it was going to go down like that. We make it to the office and both grab a seat.

"Dad, are we going to have to call Uncle Ian and Ares? They need to know about Thalia, and maybe they might know an excellent human divorce lawyer for sis. I'll head over to her house and get all of her stuff and her dog in a little bit. I have already texted Percy's sister and asked her to pack up everything for sis and the dog." Just then his cellphone dinged and he looked at it. Looking up he said that everything was ready for him and that he would be back in a couple of hours. I nodded at him and sent him on his way as I picked up to call Ian.

"Stay safe, son, and don't let them talk you into getting your sister to take that man back. I'll call Ian now and tell him everything. Maybe we can have him send Ares out here to help with her first shift." Nodding, Leo headed out to get his sister's things and I started to dial my friend and our king to tell him the news. I can only hope that we won't get into trouble for not asking him his permission first before turning Thalia. Well, here goes nothing. The line was ringing and then Ian answered.

"Hey buddy! How's the family? I have you on speaker and Ares and Delia are here with me. Delia actually told me that the goddess told her that you were about to call us. Is everything OK?"

"Well, Ian, it depends on what you define as OK. So you see........"
