Liam walked towards the infirmary, dreading his confrontation with Monike. He had communicated very little with his hospital staff after Monike was moved into the infirmary by Ben and Gamma Ron.
As he trudged through the dense flora, his thoughts went over to the previous night.
He had been annoyed with the way Ira’s family behaved with her. They couldn’t see that she was tired! They were completely blind to her health condition. The only thing they cared about was the goddamn book. He was going to get that f*cking thing burned before Ira vanished into its pages again!
They wanted to know more about what happened next rather than getting her rested and back to the pink of her health again. At least after he objected, Sarena had been smart enough to conjure some food!
