Ira
By the time Ira had finished her dinner, read out the next few pages of the book, said goodbyes to her everyone and freshened up, it had been past midnight.
Sarena had shacked up in her chamber next door. Kirra had returned to the Blood Moon pack house with James and Liam had agreed to sleep on the couch in the living room while Ira got the bed to herself.
She did not protest. It had been a rough voyage and needed her hot shower and a good night's sleep. She did feel odd sleeping on Liam's bed but didn't mind the soothing fragrance of sage wafting out of the bedding. Thankfully, Liam had the sheets changed, and she had had a wonderful night of peaceful sleep.
She would have hated to sleep on the bed where Monike had m*lested her mate.
Yes, it was m*lestation. Sarena came over in the morning to wake her up. They had tea and breakfast together, brought to them by Liam’s omegas. During their morning talk, she came clean about the way she had manipulated Liam. She had been sorry for making Liam take the pill and was amazed at how quickly Liam's system had metabolised the potion. She praised the way he had fought Monike's advances. It was Monike who wasn't ready for a 'no' and had continued to force herself on him.
Once Monike was out of the hospital, Ira was going to make sure that the woman got punished. A 'No' no matter when it was said, meant a 'No'! Period! These bullies had to be tackled and Ira would not allow a bully to destroy her chance of happiness.
Sarena had left after the brekkie, promising Ira that she would be back soon. Ira needed training and Sarena was more than happy to mentor her, but first, she had to accomplish some of her own tasks.
Bella had also visited her before leaving for work, promising to catch up at night for all the details of Ira's adventure.
Only the person she had been waiting for hadn’t met her since morning. Where is Liam? She thought as she combed her hair standing in front of the antique mirror.
According to Sarena the mirror had a specialised portal and was connected with James’ crystal orb.
It was amazing how much devastation the witchcraft had suffered in the past and yet had developed and flourished. This was supposed to be Rianna’s. Now she was the owner, as James wanted her to have it.
The mirror itself could recognise the members of their family.
She was surprised to find that it had also connected to Kirra’s illusion a few months back when she was kidn*pped by Miriam. Even in her bio sleep, Kirra had been able to see everything that had happened in front of the mirror. It was as if the mirror’s magic was linked to them! She made a mental note to thank Rianna for the mirror when she visited Kirra next.
She had worn her blue summer dress today with the tongs or flip flops that she regularly wore around the house. There had been many changes since she had gone.
Her belongings were in Liam’s wardrobe now. Does this mean he has accepted me? Even if he has, I will not give in so easily. He has been so hot and cold all the time. Until he apologises, like really convinces me, he and his mate bond can go to hell. She smiled at her reflection and decided to read a little more. She was almost ready with Liam's family tree.
As always she lost the track of time and continued to read until evening. It’s when she heard Bella yell out her name right in her ear that she jerked away and looked at her best friend, blinking her eyes. It took a while to come back to the present.
“Oh God Bels! You gave me an attack!”
“How can you be so lost in what you are reading? I have been trying to talk to you since I entered the library!” She huffed and sat down next to Ira on the couch.
Ira shrugged, meticulously placed a bookmark to mark the page that she was reading, closed the book and placed it on a small coffee table that sat next to the couch. Even the library had some new furniture, since she was here last.
“What’s the time?” Ira asked, ignoring Bella’s question completely. She had knowingly chosen a book that would keep her own thoughts locked aside while she read through pages and pages about other people..
“It's dinner time already! Do you want to go over to the dining hall? You have been holed up in this stupid library the whole day and the pack is eager to meet you.” Bella asked eagerly.
“They know about me?” Ira asked, completely flabbergasted. Sure, there had been a lot of changes since she had vanished, but this was the least expected. Liam had wanted her to be his dirty secret.
“Duh! Of ,course they do. Some knew before the boss' stupid date with Monike. In fact, one omega wanted to mix poison in her soup that night!” She laughed. “But most came to know when you suddenly reappeared. Liam’s behavior and attitude completely changed. While you were gone, he had been a real pain in the ass for everyone. Breaking the furniture, yelling at people for no reason, giving extra punishments for slack in training and so on and so forth.”
“Well..” She ran her fingers along the delicate golden chain necklace. She had changed the ornaments that Diana had given her, keeping them safe in her jewelry box. Those would forever remind her of her adventure. “I am not really sure. I don’t know if I am ready to meet everyone yet.”
Bella pouted. “You have always been like this. Away from the limelight. You are going to be the Luna of this pack. Don’t you think you need to know them?”
They both jumped as a gruff sound of someone clearing their throat reverberated through the library. Ira missed a beat, looking at Liam standing at the door, looking as sexy as ever. His short hair stood straight and she smiled knowing that he must have ran his hand through his hair multiple times in the day. His broad shoulders and ripped arms looked as if they would tear the seams of the grey T-shirt that he was wearing. Ira gulped as his blue denims hung dangerously low on his hips.
Her real anger had already subsided. Thanks to Sarena. But she was still annoyed because Liam hadn’t bothered to check on her for the whole day.
“Boss!” Bella rose from the sofa. “I was just asking Ira to accompany me for dinner.”
“That won't be necessary. I have asked for dinner to be arranged here. I need time with her. You may leave now.” Liam responded stiffly. Turning around, he added, “I am going for a shower. I want you gone by the time I am back.”
And just like that, he walked away. Ira stared at his retreating back with mouth agape, Well he is sexy but assh*le none the same! So this hasn't changed!

The muscles underneath his T- shirt rippled as he walked toward the bathroom. He slammed the bathroom door, and she knew he would undress now. Her mind played tricks with her as it conjured the images of his hot, naked body.
Would they ever move ahead in their relationship? Would they ever stop fighting, or will he always be an untamed assh*le?
She wanted to be in the shower with him, exploring his body, instead, she stayed glued to her seat, picked up the book that she was reading and tried to get lost in its pages, her only comfort zone.
All these feelings were very new for her. She did not know what to do with them.
It wasn't like she hadn't enjoyed healthy org*sms before. She knew how to pleasure herself, but nothing was ever close to what she felt that morning when Liam had edged her on. Thanks to the constant harassment and her receding into her own world of books, she had never really found the right person to do the deed with.
She had a few opportunities for one night stands too, at the parties that Bella dragged her to, but she just could not make herself do it. She wanted her first time to be special. The only person she could say she was ever close to was Toby. She would have easily agreed to date him, but the way he asked her out was horrible!
The way he had proposed had ended even their friendship. He had been very vocal about how awkward she was and how she would remain a virgin in her old age. So he wanted to do her a favour by making her his girlfriend! The schmuck!
She had kicked him out of her life and vowed never to be close to anyone again. Then her continuous orgasmic dreams had allowed no real emotional attachment to develop with anybody. She sighed.
For the first time, she had to put an extra effort into reading. Her mind was scattered all over the place.
She willed herself to connect with the book in her hands and finally started reading.
