Accalia POV I followed Felicia to Davis' room. His room was quite the opposite of hers. It had mostly female musicians posters and weapons all around his room. He had a large bookshelf in the corner of his room and a mini bookshelf close to his bed. “Don’t touch any of his books,” Felicia warned me as she noticed me staring at them. “He will skin you alive,” she added with a scary tone. I moved away from the bookshelf immediately and settled on his bed instead. “Goodnight,” She chimed and left the room, leaving me all alone to myself. I took a glance at the books and noticed they were mostly fight and war books. No wonder he was really pissed when I hit him with only a pole. I smiled at the thought. Maybe when we become cool, he could train me to be a good fighter at least, even if I do not have any powers yet. The Next Morning>>> I was awoken by a loud bang on the door. “Time's up! I need to use my room!” The voice of Davis sounded outside of the room. I grumbled as I reluctantly stood up from the bed. I was not a morning person. I wondered why he was up so early, I never liked waking up early. “It's so early,” I mumbled as I opened the door for him to have his room back. “It wouldn't be so early if you were the one sleeping uncomfortably on the couch.” He responded and jumped on his bed. “Smells like cheap ladies’ shampoo.” He said in disgust. I ignored him and made my way to Felicia's room to see that she was up already. ‘What was with this family and waking up so early?’ I wondered. “We need to start the chores now so we can finish early,” Felicia announced to me. “Don't we have all day to do the chores?” I asked, slurring as my eyes were still very sleepy. “Unfortunately, we don't. I have training later today.” She said, The sound of training got me excited. “Can I join you?” I asked her. “Of course, we are going together. I won't leave you alone in the house especially after you almost killed my brother.” She said, laughing sarcastically. I was a bit glad it was now something we could joke with. “I was trying to protect y'all” I muttered. “Enough of the protection. We go together anywhere now. I can't take that risk anymore.” She stated. “So what are we doing?” I asked her. “Sweep the house and compound, wash plates, warm leftover meals from last night, clean the food storage, the stable, and the second farm.” She said as if she had it memorized in her head. I stared at her in shock, wondering how she had been doing all of this single-handedly. “That's a lot,” I muttered. “Welcome to my world.” She stated, beckoning to follow her. We started in the kitchen, washing off all the plates that were left from last night. My mind went to my maids, I hoped they were doing well and Alpha Ulfreda'suard was treating them right as he promised. Nothing was interesting about chores. It even made me sick. As soon as we were done with the chores, I just wanted to crash on the bed and sleep but I couldn't since my body was dirty. I sat on her reading couch instead, watching her do her thing. Mostly singing and looking for what to wear. She threw me a set of training wears as she ransacked her closet before going ahead to take her bath. “Adele!” I heard her shout as she came out of the bathroom. “You're sleeping?” She asked me. I didn't know I had dozed off while waiting for her to finish taking her bath. I shook my head in response to her. “You better don’t let me be late for training.” She said, signaling for me to enter the bathroom to freshen up. I was excited about going for training but the time wasn't too exciting. I picked up my towel and headed for the bathroom to take my bath. As soon as the water came in contact with my body, the whole drowsiness melted away. Then I was hit with a thought. ‘What if someone recognizes me? Or something?’ I became bothered and contemplated telling Felicia that I could not go with her any longer. ‘Maybe I should act sick.’ I thought. But how long will it last? I came out of the bathroom and started to put on the wears she had thrown to me earlier. “Is anything the problem?” Felicia asked me, as soon as she noticed the hesitancy written over me coupled with the sad look I had on. “Why if someone recognizes me?” I asked her. “Over here? That's impossible. We don't allow strangers into our pack.” She stated. “I was even about to tell you that if anyone asks who you are, tell them you're my cousin.” She added. I still wasn't satisfied. “What if they start interrogating where I come from?” I asked her. “You don't have to respond to anybody except the alpha and he might not even have your time after you mention that you're my cousin.” She answered. “He doesn't really talk to people.” She added before I could ask. Now I felt a bit relieved and followed her. She took her keys, encouraging me to follow her as she walked to the garage. “Can you drive?” She asked me. “No.” I responded curly. “That's cringe.” She shrugged. “We don't really use cars, our pack is full of wood. The alpha didn't want to make roads because of his love to be in touch with nature.” I added. “Your alpha sounds like an ancient boring man.” She stated. I smiled. “This place looks more sophisticated when it comes to technology. However, our architecture over there is top notch.” I said. “So you mean our houses aren't fine?” She asked me. The question sounded tricky. I didn't want her to think I was looking down on their houses or anything. “The houses are nice.” I answered and looked out of the window, admiring the smart innovations around the area. “Are those cameras?” I asked her, surprised to see what looked like a camera on the road. “This is the twenty first century dear, of course we have cameras on our roads.” She answered. “Just in case an accident happens, there won't be any need to lie.” She added. “Isn't that why we have some werewolves with that power? To be able to tell us if someone is lying or saying the truth.” I asked her. “Werewolves can be biased too. But digitals don't lie.” She answered. She pulled up in what looked like a large farmland, only that it had well leveled grasses. “We're here.” She announced to me and hopped out of her car. I looked around and found other werewolves doing some warmups. “Is there anywhere I can fit in?” I asked her. “It depends. What's the level of your power?” She asked me. “I don't have one.” I answered. “That's silly, you can't be powerless and successfully hit my brother down.” She stated. “I hit him with a pole, not my bare hands.” I reminded her. “Irrespective.” She answered. “The more reason why he should be pissed. I'm sure he will be angry when he discovers you have no powers and you were able to hit him down like that. I'd love to see his reaction.” She said with a giggle. “I sincerely do not have any powers.” I told her, my voice filled with seriousness. She looked at me suspiciously for a minute before shrugging. “Well there's a place for everyone.” She said, pointing at some werewolves that were idle. “Those are our invalids.” She added. “Invalids? Is that what you call them? I mean, us?” I asked her, quite pissed at the label. “Unfortunately, yes.” She answered. “That's rude.” I muttered. “Only people with power can label things.” She said, laughing sarcastically. “So I am the only one in this conversation that can decide what is rude or not.” She adeed. I rolled my eyes and started to walk towards the idle werewolves. “Not so fast.” Felicia called out to me. “What else?” I asked her, looking confused. She paused for a while. “Now is where it gets interesting.” She stated. “What?” I asked. “You need to ask the instructor for permission.” She answered. ‘That shouldn't be so hard.’ I thought. ‘I would just let him or her know that I'm with Felicia and they should let me join.’ “Where's he? Or she?” I asked Felicia. She pointed at a distance and I followed her fingers. I gasped when I figured out who she was pointing at. “Davis?!” I asked. She nodded, still laughing. “You better don't call him by his name and remember what I told you about staying here.” She stated and wished me luck before jogging to join her friends. My head immediately felt light and I fell in exhaustion.
