Bethany POV As soon as I appeared in the secret room, I dropped to the floor and took several deep breaths of air. My heart felt like it was about to beat out of my chest, and I was so angry, I just wanted to scream out my frustrations. Every time I saw Darren, he made me want to leave even more. I wasn't sure how much more of his s**t I could tolerate. My patience was wearing thin, as my rage grew out of control. Once I caught my breath, I stood up and started pacing around the small room. I needed to think of a good game plan, in case I decided to leave on a whim. I had my dad ready to come to my aide, so I would have help getting all of my belongings, not to mention a shoulder to cry on. However, there was a real possibility that I would need to just sneak away.
