POV 8: SKY/ RED

Just like that the room drew quite.

I think even a pin could drop and cause an echo..

"Dad!" I tried to beg, I even put on my best pouting face... Anything to look the part!

"I don't want to leave their side, can I at least stay for them"

It's true I didn't want to leave their side, but I also didn't want to be stuck with her for the whole journey!!

"This is your mess Skylar" My dad had to remind me again... "It's the least you can do to make up for this"

Annoyed is an understatement. Because yeah I get it.

I made a serious mistake sure, but did I really deserve this kind of sentence!? Was a simple punishment not good enough!?

"Luna surely this isn't necessary!" Even my mate was begging!... Although seeing her do it kind of stirred up an ache in my chest a bit.. Wait though...

How were we still mated!?

Didn't I reject her?

I looked at Luna Saffron and prayed she'd reconsider. At least let me stay if anything... But her face already told me her decision was final.

We had lost.

"I will have everything ready that you will need for your journey" She answered boldly "I will loan a vehicle and expect both of you to be ready by one"

"But what about my duties?" Red protested again...

I looked at her body language, and could see she was about to blow up at any second. Any second, and they were happy to leave me with her!?

"Jenson will be filling in for you until you return"

That's was it, we had lost.

That was how it ended.. Literally!

The decision has basically been made and neither of us were happy about it. What a great start to the day!

"And you are expected to do as your told at all times" dad commented to me, I just huffed. Am I seriously that immature to him?

"I will be filling out a medical report in the meantime" The Luna explained "But for now it's best that you two get yourselves refreshed and packed up for your journey, I'll see you at the palace doors at one"

And with that, the Luna and both my parents got up and left the room, I was now left alone with Red stewing to herself on my bed....

Oooooooooo boy. This was intense.

"So this is happening.."

I tried to liven the moment. And hoped maybe a bit of light humour would help ease the tension. We were now stuck together after all.

"we're both going on a trip... Together... Against our will, just the two of us"

BOOM!!!!

The room echoed from the bang.

Ow my ears just exploded!!

Just like that she was straight up before I'd finished, and had slammed the door with full force, the door frame was still shaking violently after she left.

Yeaaah.. That definitely shook me up.

I'm guessing she doesn't really do humour?

"Alright I'll see you in a bit"! I joked again. Then I paused.

Ugh!

I let out an enormous sigh and hid my face in my hands. It was silent.

Don't get me wrong, I was happy to be alone now but still.

I couldn't believe this.

I couldn't even get out of this, not now, and not later... I didn't have a choice, for Jason and Max.

But why. Why did it have to be with her?

Tears were streaming down my face as I melted back into my bed, I was broken. I didn't even know what else I could do.

POV 8: RED:

"LET ME OUT!!! LET ME OUT NOW"!!!!

Razor was not waiting around anymore, she was done. She had already shifted out and threw us full speed straight into the forest. I'd had enough.

I needed to run.

"FASTER" I roared. She didn't hesitate to pick up more speed. We practically blurring past the trees.

"Everything I have ever been taught, it literally meant nothing!!" I yelled to myself "What was she thinking!? where do we even stand anymore with these rules!?"

My fury was only getting Razor more and more worked up., She was practically ready to pounce and carve into the first thing we came across. We needed to hit the outskirts ASAP!

Maybe some rogue's would keep us busy...

"And what of the girl?" Razor asked. I didn't even want to think about her.

Her actions have cost me dearly...

"She is nothing" I snapped "The sooner we are rid of her and her family the better!!!"

This suddenly reminded me of Arthurs farm house. Perhaps I should see what the workers has done to it already. "Let's turn here!"

We cut right and charged down the mud path towards the farm lands. I'd hoped seeing progress would help calm me down again. "Up ahead!"

I looked up and saw some of my soldiers were working on the roof as we approached, It began to create a feel good kind of vibe (Minus the cornfield) just seeing their progress.

They really have done an amazing job so far...

"Hey Commander up here!"

Moment gone. Alex was still alive.

Alex was waving at me on the roof with his hammer. How on earth is he not dead with a hangover?

Mood was killed again.

I simply nodded, I felt no reason to engage, not in the mood I was in anyway.

"Let's go" I growled, we took off again to the outskirts of our pack lands. I was trying to think of every reason why the Luna could have possibly decided such a stupid decision was necessary!

"We do not tolerate such mutts at the best of times" I growled again "What makes these ones so special!?"

Razor had finally slowed down to take some deep breaths, we must have stretched the distance out for at least five miles.

"Our Luna knows something" Razor snarled, she had the hump as big as mine.

"Her laws and morals are different somehow, she's changed her tone!"

She has. Her attitude isn't nearly as fierce as it should have been, I don't even think she sees any of their stunts as an issue at all!

"My understanding was we play nice" I felt my chest tightening "Not bend over backwards for them!"

I needed answers as to why there are prisoners roaming freely in our pack as guests? how did my everyday routine get effected this much and this quickly? Why am I now being forced to go to our sacred burial ground for some self inflicted stunt just because some idiots decided to go ahead and PARALYZE THEMSELVES!?!?

"WHY AM I THE ONLY ONE CLEANING UP AFTER THEM!?"

I couldnt hold it in...

I practically ripped a tree up with my claws and threw it with all my strength. It smacked into another tree splitting both trunks at the same time.

"Woah!"

WHAT!?

I spun around, Alex was stalking me, His sight only fueled my rage once again.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT!?" Razor roar echoed. Alex's neck bared in submission instantly but his eyes looked absolutely petrified.

"Sorry! I'm sorry.. I..!" He was wimpering helplessly under Razors gaze,

I had no choice but to force Razor to shift me back before he died of fright.

"At ease soldier" I muttered dusting myself off.

I couldn't get over how close that was. He could have almost died.

Slowly, he raised his head looking very on edge, poor guy.

"I just came to see if you were okay.. You seemed upset"

Upset!?

I think he could sense Razor was still very close to the surface as he cautiously walked closer.

"You didn't seem yourself back there so.."

I just scoffed. He wonders why!?

"It's nothing that concerns you" I tried to find a level of calmness to remind myself that this wasn't his fault... His face just kind of annoyed me right now.

"Look, I know I was a complete ass yesterday" He reached into his pocket and pulled out an envelope. "And I just want to say I am really sorry I got carried away"

He handed the envelope over to me, I opened it up to find a lot of twenty pound notes sealed inside.

"It's for the guys suit I ruined" He stated, his eyes couldn't meet mine he looked so embarrassed "It didn't seem right for you to pay, so I wanted to give it back... I'm sorry.. I really didn't want to ruin your evening"

My anger faded. his hurt expression suddenly released my guilty conscience and now I felt awful..

"I'm sorry Alex" I gave him the envelope back and patted his shoulder "please keep it, I insist after how I just acted"

I took a deep breath. My emotions were back to a steady level and Razor had finally calmed down.

But Alex looked back at me really confused

"But it's only right I pay you back, it's not cheap the damage I caused.."

I knew he meant well, but money was the least of my problems. "I insist you keep it" I said giving him a fake smile, I needed to get back to prepare for my trip... Unfortunately.

The sooner I did this trip the quicker they would leave.

"I also heard you were away for a few days are you going to be alright?"

His eyes finally met mine and I could sense the disappointment in his voice, I didn't know the best thing to say.. "I will be fine" not entirely a lie I guess.

I couldn't allow my team to be a part of my problems, but I also wouldn't allow anyone to worry about me either.

"It's an errand for the Luna, so I'm obligated to go" he didn't respond for a good few minutes before replying with a nod.

"Well okay..." He turned to walk away, raising his envelope "Thanks again"

I don't think I've ever seen him move so quickly. He literally shifted and was gone in a blink. I couldn't help but feel his response was abit odd.. Although I did just cave in his confidence, so..

"We best get back" I said grudgingly.

I went to shift Razor out but she wouldn't move. She was too focused on the shadow by the boulders...
