Chapter 26

Emma's heart raced at Vincent's words, further confirming her suspicions about him. But soon, the sound of luxury car engines snapped her back to reality. Eleven luxury cars paraded down the street, forming a grand convoy. Bystanders immediately whipped out their phones once they witnessed this, recording videos and uploading them to the internet with captions like, "Luxury Mercedes-Benz convoy, global limited-edition Maybach. Is this a top tycoon strolling around in M City?" This video quickly attracted countless views and comments. It got a million views and over a hundred thousand comments within minutes. The convoy parked in front of the hospital, and Vincent and Emma stepped out of the car. "Welcome, Mr. Chesterton!" The new hospital director stood alone at the entrance, respectfully bowing to Vincent. With the lesson learned from Glenn's experience, he treated Vincent with great respect. Vincent nodded and asked, "Are my daughter's discharge procedures completed?" The director carefully replied, "Mr. Chesterton, everything has been well taken care of." "Good." Vincent didn't say much and walked straight into the hospital. Meanwhile, in the ward, in Hope's private room. "I want Daddy! I want Mommy! I don't want to stay here!" Hope said unhappily. "Sweetheart, your parents will come to take you home soon," a group of beautiful nurses patiently comforted her. Suddenly, the door to the ward opened. "My dear baby, Daddy and Mommy are here to see you," Vincent and Emma walked in, both smiling from ear to ear. "Daddy! Mommy!" Hope exclaimed excitedly upon seeing them. "Oh, my baby, let Daddy see if you've gained weight?" Vincent walked over and picked Hope up in his arms. "Papa, I've gained a few pounds. When can I leave the hospital?" Hope pouted. After seeing his daughter, Hope, safe and sound, Vincent felt relieved. He chuckled and said, "My little princess, Daddy came to take you home today." "That's great! I can finally go home!" Hope exclaimed excitedly. Emma smiled faintly as she watched the heartwarming father-daughter moment between Vincent and Hope. Countless nights in the past, she had dreamed of this. Now, her dream had finally come true. "But before I take you home, I have to give you a gift," Vincent said. Curiously, Hope asked, "Daddy, what gift are you giving me?" Vincent turned and said, "Bring the gift I prepared for my daughter!" As he spoke, several men in suits walked over, carrying a gift box. After opening the box, they revealed a beautiful dress inside. This dress was specially designed by a globally renowned fashion designer, crafted entirely by hand under Vincent's commission. "What a beautiful dress!" Hope's eyes lit up at the sight of the dress. “Daddy, is this dress really for me?” Hope turned to Vincent, her eyes filled with anticipation. Vincent smiled, “Of course, this is Daddy's gift to you.” "I've never worn such a beautiful dress before." In an instant, Hope's eyes welled up with tears. Upon hearing this, Vincent suddenly felt a sharp pain in his heart. He hugged Hope and said, "Hope, Daddy is sorry for all the hardships you've endured. But I promise you, from now on, you'll have beautiful clothes to wear and delicious snacks to eat every day. How does that sound?" Hope nodded vigorously. "Yes, that's wonderful! Thank you, Daddy!" "Hope, let Mommy help you put on the dress!" Emma walked over and helped Hope change into the dress. "Wow, it's so beautiful!" After putting on the dress, Hope looked like a beautiful doll with delicate features; she was incredibly beautiful. The nurses in the ward couldn't help but marvel at the sight. Vincent hadn't expected Hope to look so beautiful in the dress. She had inherited Emma's beauty completely. As they walked out of the ward, several nurses, who had been taking care of Hope, waved to wish her well, "Goodbye, little princess. We wish you good health." Hope waved back to the nurses, feeling like a princess receiving blessings from everyone. With one hand holding Hope and the other holding Emma, Vincent walked through the hospital corridor. ‘Could Vincent really be King?’ Emma felt like she was dreaming. She had never experienced something like this before. Hope, on the other hand, wore a smile on her face. She felt lucky to have a daddy like Vincent. After exiting the hospital gates, the director respectfully said, "Mr. Chesterton, your daughter is in good health. Please rest assured." Vincent nodded appreciatively. "Thank you. To show my gratitude, I have decided to donate 100 million dollars to your hospital to purchase more advanced medical equipment. Also, this hospital will also become a member of my Children's Foundation, which helps children who cannot afford medical treatment!" The director was shocked to hear this. After coming to his senses, he immediately bowed deeply to show his gratitude. "Mr. Chesterton, on behalf of all the hospital staff and the children in need of medical treatment, thank you!" He had heard about a prominent figure establishing a children's foundation at Stanley's banquet. Surely, this prominent figure was none other than Mr. Chesterton standing before him. Vincent smiled at the director. "You don't need to thank me. I will have people monitor the funds I donate to your hospital. Don't let me find out that you've pocketed the money for yourselves." It wasn't that Vincent didn't trust the hospital, but he knew that human nature often faltered in the face of vast wealth. Vincent established the children's foundation to help countless children, not to line someone's pockets. The director nodded earnestly. "Mr. Chesterton, you can trust me. I will ensure the funds are used properly." Vincent nodded and said nothing more. Once they exited the hospital, they found Galahad already waiting in front of the Maybach. "Congratulations on being discharged, little princess!" Galahad approached Hope. As Vincent's family was about to get into the car, suddenly Galahad's men ran out and lined up, each holding a limited-edition Barbie doll. "Daddy, what are these?" Hope widened her eyes at the sight of these limited-edition Barbie dolls. Vincent smiled, "Sweetheart, these are toys Daddy got for you. From now on, Daddy wants you to be the happiest little princess in the world." "Thank you, Daddy!" Hope excitedly planted a big kiss on Vincent's cheek and then, dashed towards the limited edition Barbie dolls. "Haha!" Vincent chuckled and touched his cheek, suddenly feeling silly. After all the love and care he had showered her with, Hope had finally fully accepted him. Emma couldn't help but remark, "Vincent, be careful not to spoil her." "Hmph!" Vincent snorted lightly. "I can never spoil my daughter too much. If it ensures her happiness, I'd even pluck the moon from the sky for her."
