A few days later Lizzy was settling into her afternoon routine. She was trying to be a better wife and doing more for Aaron over the last few days. It hadn’t made a difference yet, but she was confident it would. Surely Aaron would notice she’d been making an effort and things would go back to normal. Or better. Yeah, better, she thought.
Sam was at the kitchen table finishing up her homework. Lizzy sat Mikey in his high chair and deposited some crackers in front of him for a snack.
“Hey, Mom, can you help me with this?” Sam asked, looking up.
“I can try honey,” Lizzy said, leaning over Sam’s shoulder to see what she was trying to figure out. Lizzy saw a math problem in front of Sam and started to panic. She’d never done well in math and knew Sam’s program was drastically different
