Melanie and Lizzy piled into their usual table at Tim Horton’s while Diego went for coffee and muffins. They unloaded the kids into the high chairs and slid them up to the table. Melanie dumped snacks onto the table in front of the kids to share and eat while the adults enjoyed their muffins.
“Are you going to ** for the next session?” Melanie asked Lizzy once she was settled.
“I don’t know. I think so but I won’t go over the summer. Sam will be off school and I’ll have her and her best friend home so it’ll be too hard to get out and do anything with just Mikey.”
“Is it weird having kids so far apart in ages?” Melanie asked as Diego sat down. He slid coffees in front of them then handed the bag of muffins to Lizzy to find hers.
