I'm still wondering why Mattheo, choose to be with me, rather than his family. Yeah, I know he's adopted but I'm sure he's still concerned about his family.
I am sitting in front of him. He's taking a nap. I'm sure he's so tired. I don't blame him.
I was shock when I heard a loud sound come from the door and it caused Mattheo to wake up.
"I didn't do anything, Matt! I swear," I said while he's looking at me.
"Shhh! Please don't make any noise." He said.
I touch his arms and said, "Please don' t leave me here, Matt."
I only heard his sigh.
He put his bag in his back and hold me with his left hand.
"Hold on and wait for my signal, Okay? When I say run, you have to run," He said while looking at me.
"But how about you? Don't go away from me! We need to be together." I said.
"You have to trust me." He said.
Then he slowly hold the doorknobs and he pushed the door so hard.
"Run!" He shouted.
I saw how he pushed the zombie who's trying to open the door earlier.
I didn't stop running as I see the zombie who tried to catch me.
As I look around, I didn't see Mattheo or even his shadow. .
"Where are you, Mattheo!" I said to myself while I'm trying to look around.
What should I do? Mattheo is gone. I can't survive my own.
God, please help me. How will I escape this.
I am covering my face and trying to hold back my tears but I saw another zombie walking towards me.
I saw how his blood drip to the road. I was about to run but it's too late. I am at the edge of a small house and the only way out is the way where the zombie is.
"Help! Help me please!" I shouted but no one refused to help me.
I'm just sitting here at the corner. Trying to cover myself.
He's here. He's here. He's about to kill me, Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
The attacked was stopped. I saw the zombie fell to the floor.
What happened. The zombie was about to attacked me but, Wha . . .
"Mattheo!" I whispered to myself.
I saw how he breathe.
"I told you to run but why you go so far to me. You're lucky because I heard your voice." he said while holding his chest.
I could not speak, but I immediately hugged him tightly.
"I thought it was my ending. Thankyou for saving me again!" I said while I'm still cuddling him.
"Ahh, Collin I can't breathe. You don't need to be so tight." said Mattheo in a slow voice.
"Thanks to God that you're okay." I said while smiling at him.
He just smiled at me back.
I heard only our sighs.
I don't know why I feel like there's something that, I feel for Mattheo. As if, I don't if it's true but I think I'm started to fall for him.
But this can't be happen. I know we're just friends.
"Let's go?" He asked.
"Where are we going?" I asked while looking at him.
"We are not safe here. We need to look for our temporary hideout." He added.
I just nod at him.
He holds my hand and we walked slowly while looking for a place to hide.
"Wait, Matt! Are you sure you are not infect by them?" I asked and he just nod at me then.
"What if we stay in our house? Maybe we are safe there!"
"No! It's a bad idea." he answered.
"But why?" I asked while looking at him.
"You're family is infected so if we stay in your house, we will be infected too."
"We can stay here for a while." he added.
This place was so dark. I think this is a storage room of the owner.
I sat on the corner of this room. There's just a little dust but it's okay.
"Collin!" He said.
"Look! There's a rat under your chair. And I see a cockroaches here." He added while pointing his finger under my chair.
I started to shout like, Oh My God! I'm scared in rat and even cockroach.
He started to laugh.
Then I realized that he's just kidding me.
"You're so cute, Collin!" he said while laughing.
"You're a big sh*t!" I said while looking at him badly.
I cannot here any noise at the moment.
As I look at him, I can't catch what he's thinking right now.
All we can do is to wait what will happen next.
"How long will we escaped to this?" He asked.
"Huh!"
"I'm not sure if we can hide until the end. We are not sure if we can avoid to be infected, until the end, right?" He added.
I just nod at him.
I am also wondering about that. But the important thing is, as long as we are still not a zombie, we need to help others by looking at the cure since my friends started it."
" Ahm, Mattheo," I said.
" What are we going to do now?" I added.
"You know that, the day after you called me, I'm started to look for the answers. And I already found some of it." He said.
"And what are those?" I asked while looking at him.
"Do you still remember the dream of Sabrina? And then right after they go back to the car, they said that they see the monster in Sabrina's dream. We didn't join them because someone hit us. And then we're sitting in front seat so we're near to them." He explained.
"But I'm sitting beside them when they arrive, right? But why I'm not infected like them.?" I asked while looking at him.
"I don't know. I'm still finding for the answers to that." He said.
"Hmm, What if we are both immortals? And we are born to save the world. What do you think?" I said.
He laughs at me so hard.
"You're crazy, Collin." he laughs so hard.
"Nobody borns as an immortal. Unless you are their relatives so maybe it will be possible." he added.
"Whatever!" I rolled my eyes to him.
Before that moment, we choose to be silent.
But I still don't understand why we can still laugh even if we are in this serious situation.
