Chapter 29: Eavesdropper

"Hey you two, remember what master said once were done here... hehehe then were gonna get more reward after master get the mystical beast egg"

"Baron... no senior, I get it that we can get reward... but what do we do with this S rank monster..?"

"How dare you! To call such a treasure a monster! Have you ever seen a beast that has a human body?"

"Yeah, senior is right mage 2 you are rash normally even if a dragon birthed an egg it's still just a normal dragon that will grow, in the end no matter how strong a dragon is it's still held back by it's own power and master is above those dragons"

"I get it that it's something special... but I can't help but ask if master is really as strong a dragon or stronger..?"

"How dare you doubt master!" Baron Swine was angry at the statement this mad experimental mage is spouting about, if not for his master experiments then he would have long killed this two.

"But..." The mage who was called mage two was scared of being punished but he just can't believe a human would be stronger than a dragon.

"Senior you don't need to be angry, it's normal as none of the two of us saw just how powerful master is..." The other mage tried his best to calm the Baron while and got infront of the other mage trying to stop the Baron from doing harsh things on his colleagues

"I know, the both of you are still ignorant about what real power is!" The Baron's face twitched in anger and his vein could be seen from his forehead that shows how angry he was.

"Thank you Baron for sparing our lives" The other mage bowed and thank the Baron for not laying his hands on them.

"Tch" The Baron just scoffed at them and got closer to the cabinet close to the window, and this is were Nyx saw everything he saw a human child inside the cabinet while eavesdropping at the Baron's room. But what surprised him is this human child had a savage aura that doesn't belong to a human at all.

"Hehehe, the two of you look at this... this S rank monster had from a humanoid figure and dragon can only do so when they reach a certain level or when they hit adulthood... But this special beast was already humanoid from the start and the mother was a giant boar no less than an S rank beast!" The Baron was lusting for the so called beast, he was looking at it with greed and l**t but Nyx couldn't see it clearly because they put it in the cabinet with some kind of seal placed on it and a chain with runes engraved on it.

I can't properly see this "beast"... I can't focus enough, but with this information I can conclude that this "beast" is really worth stealing. Hehehe if I steal this from them then I'm sure that "Master" of theirs would be very happy at them.

I then tried to focus and my sliver of divine sense that was still intact at the Baron, I tried my best to control that piece of divine sense and to see what this beast looked like. But to my surprise it was nothing more than a Demi Human but strangely enough it does share the same aura as her mother the Giant Dawn Tusk Boar that my mother has slain a few hours ago.

This beast looked like a human girl but the characteristics this girl has was obvious, it's body was clearly hairy and it's face was very similar to a human if not much more beautiful than normal with a beastly appearance, she... or more likely it because I don't know it's gender yet. It has fangs protruding on it's lips it's hair was two times thicker that of a human girl, it's arms are hairy or more like a hide from a boar a jet black skin it's arms was covered in jet black skin to it's breast but it's stomach was exposed from the environment as it doesn't have the jet black hide like it's arm's did but sure enough even a Demi-Human child it's body was well toned and it even has abs that even other human men doesn't and from it's stomach the hide then suddenly sprung out of existence again and cover it's private parts, from it's waist to the to it's ankle the jet black hide ends. But her face doesn't seem to be covered by this hide and looked more human like, but it's ears are on top of it's head like in anime... a cat woman??! hahaha no I shouldn't let my imagination get the best of me... I still don't know if it's safe for me to let my guard down when I successfully stole her.

After a while Nyx was done eavesdropping but before it happened the Baron sensed him.

"who's there??!" Baron Swine felt something was off and felt like someone was watching them and asked the two mages if they noticed something.

"Baron, I didn't felt anything near us... and we also set up a magic circle in this entire room so it should be safe and not even a fly can escape nor enter this room" The mage gave Baron Swine a confused looked and made the Baron think it was all in his head.

"Hmm! I know... but I really felt it as if someone was watching us..." The Baron couldn't shake this weird feeling and made sure if no one was near, so he got to the window and saw no one was there except for a few cat's and dogs fighting.

"It must have been a cat Baron" The mage who was called mage two came closer and saw that a cat and a dog was fighting across the street and some cat's was climbing the roofs and even the Inn they were in.

"Hum... it must have been, other wise this village must have a master who was at least as strong as me, hahaha!" The Baron was full of himself and laughed while gazing at the poor beast.

Meanwhile Nyx was done planning and was ready to give it a go tomorrow, and now he wants to focus on cultivating a bit more and try to steal that S rank beast.
