Chapter 18: The Feast

The chaotic shockwave was travelling at a very frightening speed and now almost reached the gate, but it was slowed down by the corpses and the distance it travelled and the moment it reached the village's gate it already diminished it's original power and just made the gate sway back a little, just enough to blow only parts of the wooden gate, but sadly there were still a couple of people who were injured as expected.

Zira was confused, he never could have thought his husband Terran could ever cast a spell that powerful, that was already almost as powerful as an arch Mage's spell and the destructive power it has was simply ashtonishing! Nyx was also quite surprised he didn't thought that a simple tweak of his could generate that much power, the pure power it has was comparable that of a nuclear bomb if it was compared to power it self, the shockwave was also quite powerful the corpses on the ground was razed and was brougth closer to the gate as dusted, he felt sick after smelling the blood of hundreds or even thousand of boars gathered close to the village gate.

Terran was looking quite pale but he managed to stand up and shouted, that was quite powerful..! hahaha I didn't expect I had it in me.

Kenny and the guards were left speechless, although you have saved us all... there are still who have been injured by that ridiculous spell of yours but... is the Giant Dawn Tusk Boar still standing or did he already die-

*ROAR!*

Before Kenny could finish his sentence, he jinxed all of them, the Giant Dawn Tusk Boar was still alived and as it roared they heard it's angry roar, and the guards morale and spirit collapsed under the pressure of a mighty beast that could even survive that kind of blow it just had.

"W-what kind of monster would still be alive after that..?"

"W-were all going to die..!"

"You fools! focus, the Giant Dawn Tusk Boar should be injured pretty badly, it should ne in it's last breath... if not for that strong blow it would've likely killed all of us..."

"But captain... is-isn't it time to tell us about this Giant Dawn Tusk Boar... it was sighted a few years ago... to be exact, ten years ago the moment yoi became the captain of the Guards here..."

"It's not the time to tell some kids story right now, if you wanr ro know more then... I'll tell you lot later. Come with eadwig those who want to hear about that old tale"

"Stop with that nonsense, instead thanks Sir Terran for making his way and helping us out, as you can see sir Terran was one of the most scarce and rare mage who have reach the eight circle, as you may know Mage's are born with unusual power called magic, and magic is fueled by mana but the amount of mana a mag can have is already decided the moment he/she is born..."

Captain just apologized for you all because he knew you would be like this if there was a moment you'd doubt sir Terran and misjudge him, so Kenny... no captain Kenny apologized early to avoid any unnecessary misunderstanding like this... and besides sir Terran already said it... he is a commoner and that's all you need to know to trust him... just be grateful that we can finally have..."

Eadwig was very emotional as all the guards that were on the gate supporting the hunters fighting on ground with Zira they saw a hope in the battle that they thought would be a one sided slaughter... which the humans would be the losing side because of the army of wild boars and magical beast in different sizes and abilities and even then the King of the west forest Giant Dawn Tusk Boar showed up and almost made it to the battle and trample the village flat, Terran an unknown mage who was granted the tittle guardian of the grannar village saved them in the mist of despair and Zira his wife who fought in fending of the lower ranked beast and finally manage to stop the beast horde but... there was still a death looming in the air, because the King of the west forest was still alive but although it should be almost dead it was still angry and roared making them lose all hope but, Zira was still left standing while Terran was still lying on the ground with his little nit of consciousness that just barely made move, and Nyx was playing safe till this moment nobody saw what he did and never did anyone noticed him doing something or so he thought... A small figure was looking at the guards but, it was staring mostly to Nyx. Nyx of course noticed this and glanced over to have a look but the blurry figure snuck away as fast as he looked at it. Heh... trying to hide behind the house after eavesdropping eh...

"D-did he noticed me..?But that's impossible..."

"Right... that is really impossible as you can use a stealth technique eh..?"

"R-right I can use "vision" and "hide presence" so a kid like him would never noticed me looking over-"

The small figure turned out to be a small child, a small girl who was about the same age as Nyx in body structure, a four year old.

The girl just noticed that she wasn't replying to her self but to none other than Nyx.

"W-what..? h-how is this possible, he can't see me, he can't see me..."

The girl tried to deny Nyx's sudden appearance and closed her eyes and just hoped she wasn't seen, as she could get bot scolding and punished for eavesdropping at the battle. As it could get dangerous for her safety. Meanwhile Nyx couldn't help but be adore by the cute sight he was seeing, so he couldn't help but tease the little girl.

"Ahhhh... I wanted to say that line while catchinf thieves in the future... ahhhh(sigh)"

Nyx pretended to not have noticed the girl and sighted as if he was sleepy.

"Phew... so he was just talking to himself too... hah~

"I hope the bangquet... ahem the village feast starts soon... maybe tonight though it'll probably be a pretty good fest..."

The little girl heard Nyx and couldn't help but listen more as she was also curious, and Nyx was also curious about what this girl was doing and teased her a little.

"Hmmmm... I heard that a magical beast meat taste pretty great... it not only enhance the amount of mana a person has but also enhance one's body... hmmm..? so what if a girl ate it... would that really make her boobies bigger..? (hehe)"

"h-huh..? b-b-b-b-boobs..? woul it really make a girls boobs bigger..? hmm... I should go to the village feast..."

The little girl murmured to herself as if she didn't have any intention to hide her thoughts. Nyx saw her blushing and can't help but be adored by her innocence. How I envy the lives of a normal human... sometimes.

"HAHAHA... How cute... you know you could get arrested by eavesdropping from looking at the fight..."

"W-what..? haha... it was just a joke you don't have to cry over it... hahaha..."

"B-but... I really did eavesdrop and took a look... uwah~"

W-what I was just joking with her though... I didn't think she would cry... I was just curious by how she manage to hide her presence this well at her age and thought to tease her a little...

"C-captain I seem to have heard a kid crying..."

"Hey, are you sure your not drunk..? why would a kid be here, the villagers should have already evacuated long ago..."

"Hmmmm... We don't really know, Eadwig go and check if there were really a kid here"

"Hmmm... C-captain sir Terran's kid seems to be missing..."

"W-what..? all of move your asses and find him..!"

"What..? That kid... please do find him for me captain, and vice captain... to all of you be careful while Zira is still dealing with the Giant Boar"

"A-are you not afraid if something has happened to your child..?"

"Hahaha... if only you know what that kid did... I would even bet that he could fight with the hunters..."
