Chapter 70: Spirit capturing pagoda

A giant explosion occured when Nyx finally stood up and rushed the arm that was holding Zira was about thirty meters away but the mutant zombie's heads moved using it's vertebrae to move and grow a small tentacles that was used to moved closer to Zira and as it closed in to Zira it exploded with all of it's power and an explosion that swallowed twenty meters of the area making a giant crater was made Nyx wanted to save Zira but he got blown away by the shockwave making him kneel in order to make himself stable and the rest of the four limbs were blown away to the hordes of zombies and was attacked by them and dissappeared in an instant and the Dark Knight that were closer got blown away and broke their dark bone armor some even got their body separated but Zira on the other hand was missing.

Nyx didn't want to believe it but his mother died in front of him, he felt that he made the wrong decision and not killed the enemy in one blow

He wanted to save his mother this time with his knowledge and current realm level was enough to do so as he thought, but he was being slowed down by the undead and the mutant zombie was already fighting with Zira for god who knows how long it could have been a whole day and Nyx regretted his decision once again.

"I just wanted to live with my family... why... why is... "

Nyx suddenly remembered a treasure in his past life, the Spirit Capturing Pagoda it was a supreme treasure that can be used to store souls that one can either use to strengthen someone's soul or steal others soul and feed them to another and it can also be used to revive a dead person if he or she still have their soul.

"Right... I wa reincarnated to another world how in the world would I... Argh-" I suddenly felt a throbbing sensation in my chest and felt something was wrong.

'What is this familiar feeling..? It is as if my soul is being torn apart... aghh... this feeling...'

Nyx then sat down with sweats coming down from his cheeks to his chest as his casual clothes was now soaked by his sweat as he focused and meditated and see what's wrong with his soul.

To Nyx's surprise he didn't go to his knowledge sea of consciousness but he got dragged to the Mana pool that was now swirling as his knowledge sea that was full of vast soul power that was twinkling like the night sky was being transformed together with the mana pool as a shadow suddenly emerged from the swirling motion

The mana pool was vast like a sea as one can see in their eyes and finally end at a pit of darkness that encapsulated the mana pool but now the once peaceful mana pool was swirling with the soul power that Nyx had, Nyx's soul power was at the Silver Battle stage which is the third level of soul power cultivation realm a soul is much harder to cultivate than the body and QI and it is the secret to reaching the Nirvana realm or known as the Earth Rebirth Body for cultivators as the QI on Heaven and Earth baptize the body and grants a body that could live for eight hundred to a thousand years and one can also regain their youthful face.

"What is happening... this should only be happening when I reach Nirvana realm like in my past life, the QI on my body transformed and became one with my Soul power... but I haven't even reach the Golden Core realm and haven't even received my baptism... just what is-!!?" I couldn't believed what I saw and gasp as a four Giant island suddenly emerged in the bottom of my mana pool.

The giant Islands finally emerged as Nyx watched his excitement was through the roof as he clearly remembers what this Island was and what treasures are hidden in it, he has a lot of questions but he didn't have the time to whine.

Nyx has known this Island like the back of his hands as he lived here for hundreds of years trying to hide from enemies, it was a supreme treasure that is one of the ultimate space and time treasure back in the ten thousand immortal worlds

Nyx used this to break space as his comprehension in the law of space was awfully bad and can only rely on this treasure island to create a separate realm for himself unlike a realm created by cultivators this Four Mystical Island that was shaped as Tiger, Tortoise, Bird, and finally a Dragon shaped Island and formed the four Islands.

In the past Nyx got this treasure in the ancient gods tomb, it was a time and space treasure but Nyx didn't really know how to use it besides creating a hidden independent realm and the island as it's center

But it seems it hides a deeper secrets as it was also here with Nyx as he was reborn Nyx only had one thought that it might be a soul treasure and all his soul treasures back then would also be in this Four Mystical Island a supreme time and space treasure.

"I need to find the Spirit capturing pagoda fast..!" I then floated in my small internal world and saw some changes, back then I used my blood essences to create living lifeforms and it seems to have worked there were even tribes that now lived in.

While Nyx was using his consciousness to search the four islands for treasures that might help him, in his internal world time flows differently back to the real world Nyx was sitting at the now a flat land and trees that were taken down by Nyx's Divine chess array caused by it's overwhelming mana the trees were razed to the ground and the zombies with a stronger looking psyche gathered around Nyx acting as if they are guarding him.

And at the crater a body that was scorched black was lying beneath the charcoaled ground caused by the giant explosion the body was none other than Zira her clothes were tattered but her kana protected her body well but it was not enough even with all her acupoints all opened Zira's body slowly healed as she struggled to breath gasping like she lack the strength to breath.

Her bare chest and arms that was still healing and scorched black, Zira tried her best to stand up and climb the ten meters tall crater, but her hands was shaky making Zira lose her grip and got back to the bottom of the crater

Meanwhile Terran was still fighting hordes of zombies with different species of magical beast but he was surprised when the zombies attacks has become more passive and easy to counter.

"Has Zira killed the one who is controlling all this zombies..? But... what is this weird feeling..." Terran looked at his chest and felt a throbbing pain as if something important to him was about to be lost forever.

'Why do I got a bad feeling about this..? I should kill all this zombies in one move..!'

Terran used his earth magic and made an earth pillar that extended to fifteen meters above the ground even taller than some trees, Terran then gathered his earth element mana to his right hand and as his mana rapidly gathered towards his right hand Terran smashed his right hand to the pillar that he was standing on.

"Earth spike, thousand needles!" Terran smashed the Earth Pillar and the earth element mana travelled through it as small black stone spikes rushed out from the pillar piercing the nearby zombies and travelling through the ground

A thousand black stone spikes rapidly grew out of the ground piercing hundreds of zombies at once the magical beast with faster reflexes tried to escape Terran's attack but it was useless almost all of them died except for some that escaped and was pierced by the ground spikes.

"That should do it... phew good thing I learned this spell back then, I learned this because it was always a problem for me if I get surrounded and the solution was this spell!" Terran wiped the b****y stains on his face as he used his wind magic to rushed towards where he last felt Zira's mana.

Meanwhile, Nyx was still searching and all kind of beast and tribes tried to attack him making Nyx had a hard time as their cultivation level was on par with Nyx now Nyx has reached the Sky rendering ninth realm closing to the body Foundation establishment realm

But the tribes and unknown living life forms here lack real world experience as they were just made for a few hundreds of years by Nyx's blood essence, Nyx finally captured a tribe leader and managed to converse with them as he taught the first humanoid life form languages from earth both english and chinese but in his current world the language was different making Nyx's pronunciation of words awkward.

"Bring me to that Chieftain of yours and tell him I need the treasures I hid here a long time ago!" I dragged the tribe leader from his ears as I scolded him for not knowing his own ancestor.

"S...sorry... I...I afraid... that... that I can't..." The tribe leader with a bald head and a well built body with a dark skin said in a trembling tone as he tried to resist Nyx's grip, but no matter what he holds on to it got ripped apart even a tree that he managed to hold on.

*Crash*

*Boom!*

Nyx made a loud ruckus as he dragged the tribe leader as Nyx used his divine sense and felt a strong life force coming from deeper in the forest with larger trees, and Nyx was on the Tiger shaped Island.

'This place has completely transformed... back then it only had some trees and vegetations but now it has jungles and different terrains, I guess time do change everything... and I can feel it they have gathered soul treasures here and I can feel my soul imprint on some of them some got damage or had gained their own consciousness or got a new owner... well I guess this is to be expected'

The tribe leader started to cry as he saw some familiar trees and felt the presence of their Chieftain, Nyx wanted to get the Spirit capturing pagoda to preserve his mother's soul and even make it stronger and make a new body for her but it seems he got to get it the hard way.
