Mystery of life 2 (True life story)I arranged the chairs together as I prepared to sleep.I made sure i closed every windows and door of the restaurant before laying on the chair I arranged.By 5am the mosque beside the restaurant woke me up and I immediately went to have my birth at the toilet of the restaurant and changed into my only cloth.I washed and hanged the one I pulled off before going to open the restaurant for business.Gradually the other workers came in and we started with food preparation and soon enough customer began to flood in."Emeka! come and serve this food!!" The person in charge of dishing the food call out and I left what I was doing and ran to answer.I took the food and took it to the customer she pointed for me, I dropped the food on his table and turned to leave when he called me back."Mister Man come back," he said and I turned back looking at him for answer as to why he called me back."This isn't what I order, I requested for Egusi soup and not Oha soup," he said."Sorry sir, let me take it back and bring your right order," I said carrying the food trail.I took the food back to the counter as the woman who gave me the food look up at me." He said he ordered for Egusi and not Oha soup," I said to her."So what will I do with this soup, I can't return it in to the pot, you will have to pay for it," she said as I looked at her surprised."I don't understand, I wasn't the person who placed the order or who got it wrong so why do I have to pay for it?" I asked."Because I say so or would you want me to waste the soup, you will have to pay for it," she said."It isn't my fault and am not paying for your mistake," I said and she knocked the food trail off my hand, "now it's your mistake, you will pay for it," she said.I bent down, took the plate, picked up the little I could pick and cleaned up the food on the floor before going back to continue with my washing. As I washed the plates, tears fell from my eyes, I just let it pour out freely."Won't it just be better I end it all and just put an end to all the suffering, pain and insults," I thought to myself."Emeka, some one is waiting for you outside," said one of the workers to me cutting off my thoughts.I cleaned my hands and went out still wondering who it might be.I came out to meet the man who I served earlier and I walked up to him when he waved at me."Good day sir, you sent for me," I said."Yes I did, I noticed what happened in there earlier and I overheard the discussion between you both and wasn't happy with what that lady did," he said."It's fine sir, that's in the past now,"I said."Take this for the food that got wasted," he said give me some currency which I took from him."Thank you sir, thank you very much, I really appreciate," I said.He left and I walked back in happily, for once in the new year which had gotten to May I smiled.I went to the back and counted the money and it was five thousand naira, it was more than the cost of the food.I quickly went back to continue my work not knowing other eyes have seen everything.

Mystery of life 🥶
Mystery of life 3 (True life story) At the close of the business that day, I was putting things in place as we close for the day when I heard my madam called me in a high tone.. I left what I was doing and ran to answer her only to meet her looking angry with some of the workers. "Madam you called me." "Emeka, why did you steal my money, haven't I been good to you enough, I feed you, I let you sleep here and still pay you so tell me why on God's name did you steal from me?" I looked at her with an open mouth surprised and shocked. "Madam, I didn't steal from you, maybe there is a mistake somewhere," I said. "My five thousand naira is missing and all fingers points at you," she said. "How? I'm not even in charge of handling the money," I said in my defence. "Did you come behind the counter today?" Asked the lady who threw the food away. I raised my head up trying to remember and it came flooding back. "I only came behind the counter today when she," pointing to the lady who threw the food, "asked me to come help her carry a cooler and that was all," I said. "Money has never gone missing before but the moment you stepped your feet there, money went missing," madam said. "Madam please believe me, I don't know anything about the money," I said. "Let's search him," the lady said and my madam nodded giving them the go ahead and the lady rushed to search me. She searched my and brought out the money I was given early. "Madam this is the money," the lady said handing it over to madam who counted it and it was five thousand. Immediately it dawn on me that it was a gang up and no matter what I say it won't change anything. "Emeka, what do you have to say for yourself?" My madam asked. "A customer gave me that money earlier today, I sleep here everyday and nothing has ever gone missing I said. "Go and continue your work," she said which surprised every one. I took a deep breath and went back to what I was doing and when I came back inside to lock up the place I met my madam sitting. She called to me and asked me to sit down which I did. "I know you didn't steal the money," she said. "How?" I asked confused.
