Captain Elijah sat down at the foot of Nathan’s bed and Lieutenant Amy stood at his side. It was quite late and the nurse insisted that they try to keep the conversation short since Nathan needed to rest. Captain Elijah assured her that they would only need a few minutes with him and requested her to leave the room for the time being. As soon as the nurse left, Lieutenant Amy closed the door and drew the curtains across the only window in the room. Nathan felt rather baffled by all this and looked at his superiors rather anxiously.
“How are you feeling now?” asked the Captain, looking at Nathan’s plaster.
