Chapter 5

589 Words
The next day Sally finally discovered what the project was. This morning she was determined to go to school even though she wished school was finally over. She had almost forgotten that Bunny was a victim of bullying, so because of him she never wanted to forget and because of Max, she didn't either. She wants to stand up for Bunny forever and protect him. Max seemed to need exactly no protection. He always looked brave with his head up. He also wanted to do his best to give Bunny protection. Sally now sat between Bunny and Max while the class was quiet to listen to what project it would be. Some classmates were patient, others were not. Mrs. Cloud looked excited as her tail moved slightly. She looked at her class and had exact stars in her eyes. "Today you will work in threes on a project. Your task is to make a beautiful drawing and you have to present it with the theme of summer vacation. You will get these lesson hours for it. Just make a group and start right away. Good luck!" Sally watched Mrs. Cloud go back to her desk and sit in her chair to work on the computer. The children were busy searching in groups. You could hear their chatter as the others had found a group and so began to work on their project. Sally looked at Bunny and Max, who were also looking at each other and the three had no idea what to do about the summer vacation theme, just like Mrs. Cloud was saying. "Do you have a plan?" Bunny shook his head no, while Sally was silent. Both boys looked at her with hopeful expressions on their faces. Sally was silent for a while until she had an idea. She looked at the boys and began to explain her plan. Each of them grabbed a blank sheet of paper and must draw the sky, sand, and water and then color it in. They must not forget the rainbow and a hut. The three blank papers were actually a puzzle. Sally chose the middle one, Bunny the right one, and Max the left one. Sally grabbed all the stuff that would be needed, especially the colored pencils. She started drawing the pieces of the rainbow and then coloring them in. What followed was also the sky, water, and sand. She also drew a sun in the middle of the paper that was actually smiling. She looked at Maxwell's paper and saw that he had drawn a hut. Of course, that was new as Sally explained it. Max also drew the rainbow, sand, water, and sky and he colored them all in. When Sally looked at Bunny, he seemed very calm with an expression of peace, as if nothing bothered him. He wasn't even being bullied and that finally made Bunny feel like he was finally calming down. * Their project was a great success. Finally, the summer vacation started and so Sally watched as many children walked out quickly with big smiles on their faces. Sally even heard someone shouting as she saw that children were jumping around excitedly and happily. Bunny showed a smile on his face. He wasn't like the other kids who were really just active and had a lot of energy. Max looked proud that summer vacation had started. Sally looked disappointed when she saw her father's limo car. She said goodbye to the boys and she left for home without saying a word.
