Chapter Five: Couples Vacation Part 1

As I run frantically in a panic trying to put my clothes back on, I quickly try to get everything back onto my desk. When I look over, I see Cole slowly and calmly straightening his tie, and then he takes a seat.

"What the hell are you doing Cole? I know you heard Chloe say she's going to be here in a few minutes. Actually a few seconds, what are we going to do?" Suddenly, he kisses my head and sits me down while opening the blinds once again.

"Calm down. If you act like something happened, then she will know what happened. I will take care of it just follow my lead Alessandria." Then three continuous knocks at the door later, we see Liam open the door.

"Alessandria, I'm aware you're having a meeting right now, but Mrs.Chloe is here with lunch. Should I tell her to come by another time?" Liam asks while glaring at Cole. s**t I totally forgot that Liam was guarding the door today anyways. He probably heard everything between Cole and I, and he just told me he loved me too. I'm so f****d.

"No not at all. She may come in." Suddenly she pushes past Liam abruptly and hugs me tightly.

"If you had told me you were in a meeting I wouldn't have come Alessandria!" I couldn't contain my laughter at that point. Then we laughed together for a moment.

"Seriously you had already brought food. How am I supposed to say no." It was at that moment she stopped laughing and stared at Cole.

"Cole? What are you doing at Alessandria's office?" As she gives a confused suspicious look, Liam suddenly notions to me good luck, and closes the door.

"Oh well I did tell you that I had a meeting to attend, and it was actually with Alessandria." He just seems so calm like this is nothing to him. Has he ever lied to me like this before? Wait never mind he already did with his mother.

"When did you two become so close?" Then he just starts to smile and look over towards me. Don't look at me like that Cole, instead help me!

"She actually invited me to call about the investment, since she only needs one more investor. She really wanted me to come today, so since she's your best friend, I decided to do it."

"The hell I d-" Then when I look at Chloe, I can see that she's looking helpless. Even though I hate lying to her I know I need to. "I mean hell Cole, I didn't mean to borrow your time. I would just love your support for my company." As I smile, I can see Chloe smiling behind me with tears in her eyes. Then Cole and I jump up and shout at the same time.

"Babe are you alright?" He asks.

"Chloe are you okay? What's wrong? Was it something that I said?" Suddenly she hugs us both and brings us closer together.

"I'm just so glad that you two are getting along. At the party it seemed like you two didn't like each other." The exact opposite actually, well at least for me. Although I will never admit it, because I know that she's happy with him.

"I have an idea!" She squeals. Oh no please not one of her for forbidden ideas. This is the only issue that I've had with Chloe so far. She comes up with these elaborate ideas that end up badly. Suddenly she opens the door and pulls Liam inside.

"Hi I'm Chloe,, I saw you at my birthday dinner with Alessandria that night."

"Right. Nice to mee-" As Liam tries to finish, she quickly interrupts him and grabs Liam's arm.

"This is Cole my fiancé." Then as she smiles, Liam looks over to me and looks shocked.

"I hope you don't mind me asking, but who are you to Alessandria again?" He asks.

"My best friend!" Suddenly Liam looks over to me quickly and grabs my arm.

"Mind if I borrow her for a second thanks." Then he pulls me out of the room.

"I'm sorry, what!" He yells and I try to shush him.

"I thought you knew! I mean you were at Chloe's party that night!" How should I know that he didn't know. Then he starts to shake his head and sigh.

"I came because Kaitlyn texted me the address and told me it was an emergency! Jesus Christ Alessandria! I knew Cole was your ex but your best friend's fiancé? That's an entirely different level!" As I roll my eyes I turn my back to him. It's not like I don't know the severity of the situation. It's not like I wanted this to happen. Well...I didn't want it to happen this way.

"Look I get it okay. I know it's bad but can we please just move past it. It's not like Cole and I are...well you know anymore." Suddenly he brushes the hair on my neck to the side and whispers in my ear.

"So you're telling me that what I heard a few minutes ago never happened." As his words send a shiver down my neck going down my spine. I decide to deny with all of my might.

"I have no idea what you're talking about." Then he pulls me closer to him and wraps his arms around around my waist.

"So those moans in there weren't you? Unless you were watching something indecent Alessandria. Then you're lying and you know how I don't condone liars."Suddenly he spins me around towards him and pulls me closer to his lips. Then the door opening stops us and Chloe interrupts us.

"Come on lovers get back in here." Then as I quickly rush back into the room, I can see Cole sitting in my chair.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" I yell.

"Sitting down Alessandria. What does it look like?" Then he gives me that stupid grin of his.

"Damn you. Get up." Suddenly I see him chewing on something and he is hiding something in his hand.

"What are you eating?" When I walk behind the desk towards him I see him eating my vanilla Girl Scout cookies.

"What. The. f**k!" As I snatch it out of his hand and then he starts to laugh.

"Wow you two are like best friends now." Chloe starts to laugh. More than you know.

"No!" We both shout out loud. Then he looks over at me, while walking over to Chloe and kisses his cheek and then her neck.

"Mmm Cole~! Stop...!!" As she chuckles I roll my eyes at them and then Liam comes over and wraps his arms around my waist again.

"Show offs. We can show off too. Chloe did interrupt us earlier right?" As he nods at me I start to blush slightly. Is Liam trying to kill me!?! Seriously the look in Cole's is straight rage.

"Alright you two cut it out! Now can we talk about why I wanted?" Chloe asks us. As everyone stops and glares at each other.

"Thank you. Now Liam right? You're Alessandria's boyfriend?" As he nods while tightening his grips on my waist, Cole leans on the wall glaring at us.

"Great! So let's go on a triple date getaway." She says while smiling.

"No! I mean it's not a good time." I reply quickly. That would be the worst thing ever. Honestly after what just happened between Cole and I. It would be too much to be on a whole getaway with him and Chloe.

"I didn't even tell you when. Plus I just cleared your entire schedule for next week." As she smiles I snap my head back at Cole and raise my eyebrows at him.

"W-What about Cole? I mean as we discussed earlier Cole runs a billion dollar business and he must be busy, right Cole?" Suddenly, he starts to give me that smug grin again and shrugs his shoulders.

"No actually I think it's a great opportunity for us to get to know each other Alessandria. I think that we would have more opportunities to be able to talk about our investment to your company. Babe that's a great idea let's do it." This smug bastard knows what he's doing. He thinks we are going to have some heart to heart but I will never let that happen.

"Yea babe let's go. Of course we will have to try to keep it down since they will be with us." Liam replies while kissing me on the cheek. Oh god he's trying to kill me. Then Cole looks like he wants to tear him apart while he fake smiles.

"Come on girl please!" As she give me those wide eyed deer look, I just sigh and start to laugh.

"It might be fun so sure. We can leave in 2 days on Friday, and we will come back the following Friday." I'm seriously going to regret this.

*A Few Days Later*

As I am packing up my bag, Chloe sits on my bed looking through my photos. I cannot believe I'm going on this trip. A few weeks ago I thought I'd never see Cole again, and now I'm technically going on a trip with him. As I sigh, and put the rest of my clothes in my bag, Chloe hugs me from behind and snaps a quick photo.

"Cheese!" When she snaps a few more photos, I push her off, and I start to laugh.

"You deserved that. You know I hate photos." Then she starts to pout and rolls her eyes, as she starts to get up and grab one of my photo frames.

"Yet you have all of these photos all over your house. Wait you look like you're holding someone's hand while looking so happy in this one. Oooh!! Is this that ex boyfriend you barely talk about?" Just before I answer that heartbreaking question, Liam and Cole barge in while fighting as usual.

"You ladies ready, it's going to take us roughly two hours to get to the beach house, so we should get going." Cole says while hugging onto Chloe. Selfish asshole knows what he's doing. It won't work, so I grab Liam's arm, while he grabs my bags.

"Yup I'm ready! I can't wait for you to see me in my bikini babe." I say while smirking slightly at Cole, and I smile at Cole, while leaning my head on Liam's shoulder. As Cole rolls his eyes and we head towards the door, Cole holds open the door for me. God I don't want to go but I have to go. As I walk out the door, I trip over the step, and Cole catches me. Feeling the grip he has on my waist, and holding me close to him, it makes my heart pound out of its chest.

Then I quickly push him off of me and fix my clothes. As Cole is driving and I stare out the window, it brings me back to that night he brought me home. Chloe decided to catch some sleep in the back seat, and Liam also sat in the back to catch up on some work until he dozed off.

Then Cole hands me a Hershey mini bar, and I roll my eyes at him.

"Take the chocolate Alessandria." He doesn't even look over at me he just keeps his eyes on the road.

"For you to just poison me? No way I'm good." Then he sighs and he rolls his eyes.

"What are we kids?" He asks.

"One of us is. I'll give you a hint it's not me." Then he opens the Hershey bar with his teeth. Oh god the way he uses his mouth it just makes my heart flutter. No dammit Alessandria! I will not be sucked in by him again. Suddenly he shoves the Hershey bar into my mouth.

"Shut up and eat the chocolate. Your stomach has been rumbling for an hour now, and I know you haven't eaten today." As I forcefully swallow the chocolate, I glare at him.

"What the hell Cole! Jesus Christ are you trying to choke me to death?" I ask while slightly coughing.

"Oh I thought you liked when I choked you. I remember you used to beg me to do it all the time." Then I cough harder and snap my head back at him.

"Shut up d**k! Chloe is in the backseat." Then he starts to laugh and he slightly looks at me.

"She's like an Ox Alessandria, she is a heavy sleeper. She can literally sleep through anything."

"So you've slept together then. Still that doesn't mean you shouldn't lower your voice dammit!"

"You're the one being so loud Alessandria. If anyone would wake her up, it would be your loud voice." Then he gives me that smug look again, and as he stops to park the car at the beach house, I decided to tease him.

When I unbuckle my seatbelt I lean over to him and get close to him to whisper in his ear.

"Oh I'm sorry am I still being too loud? See you're not the only one who can be sneaky Cole." Suddenly he pulls me on top of his lap and kisses me deeply.

"Mmm nnn!?! W-What the hell Cole!?!" As quietly scold him in his ear.

"Check mate princess. Now you'd best get up before they wake up. Unless you want to stay here on my lap."Then I quickly open up the door and get out while slamming the door and trying to cool my hot cheeks down. Damn him! Even when I get the upper hand he knows how to flip the switch. The car door slam wakes everyone up and we all bring our things into the beach house.

The beach house is Cole's family summer home. Even though Cole and I used to come here every year for our yearly getaway, I have to pretend like I have never been here before for Chloe.

"Wow this is so pretty! I know you said that you barely come here anymore Cole but it still looks beautiful!" Chloe screams while exploring the upstairs area.

"Wait you haven't been here for a while? Is there any reason why?" I ask Cole.

"Oh because he said he used to come here all the time with someone special, but now since he doesn't talk to them anymore, he has no reason to come anymore." Then Cole grabs Chloe's mouth and covers it up.

"Let's not bother them with something irrelevant babe." Then I grab his arm and pull him.

"When was the last time you came here?" I ask while staring deeply into his eyes.

"About two years ago with her." Then my heart skips a beat and I let him go. That's the last time we went together. The last time we had s*x on the beach, and he held me on the balcony, as we watched the sunrise together. Why hasn't he went here with Chloe? If I really meant nothing to you, why wouldn't you bring anyone else here?

"Alessandria is there something wrong?" Chloe asks me while grabbing my hand.

"Oh right yes, I'm sorry that just brought me back to some old memories. I'm going to put my things away. Where are the guest rooms?" Even though I know exactly where they are, I have to ask anyways.

"Upstairs to the left." Cole replies and he can't even look at me. As I head upstairs and put my things in my room, I get changed into my red two piece bikini, I hear a Knock at the door.

"Come in." Then Liam comes up from behind me and hugs me while looking in the mirror at me.

"O-Oh Liam, I was going to come down in a minute. Besides we aren't around the others now, you don't have to touch me like this." Then he grips me tighter and presses himself against me.

"You are beautiful Alessandria. I cannot believe that even if this is fake, I want to hold you." Then I suddenly push him off of me and step away from him.

"I'm sorry Liam, I just can't see you like that right now. I do I really want to see you like that, but you know my history with him, and I can't forget him yet. I'm trying I really am, I'm sorry." Then he puts on a forced smile and hugs me normally.

"Of course, I'm sorry just seeing you in that bikini, it flooded my senses for a bit. I'm fine now. I just came to tell you that they are heading to the beach now."

"Thank you Liam. Let's go ahead and go before Chloe comes to find us." Then as we head down stairs I can see Chloe in the ocean and as usual Cole is sun tanning. One thing about Cole is that he is his own person, and the only person he would do activities with was me. Well because I forced him to that is.

"Wow Alessandria you look amazing!" Chloe shouted. Then she got engulfed by a wave and Cole looks at me. As we stare at each other for a few seconds, Liam breaks the silence when he whispers to me.

"Do you want me to stay by your side?" He asks.

"No it's alright, it would be more suspicious if you did that. I'm going to go put sunscreen on and sun bathe for a bit. I know you love the water so why don't you go take a dip." As he smiles and gives a kiss on the cheek, I sit down on the chaise lounge, and suddenly Cole sits next to me.

"Personal space much Cole?" I roll my eyes and sigh while grabbing the sunscreen beside me.

"Since you are my fiancé's best friend, I thought I would help you put on your sunscreen. I would hate it if you got hurt here." Then he suddenly lays me down on my back.

"W-What are y-!" He interrupts me by picking up my leg and rubbing sunscreen on my calf.

"Not so loud. You wouldn't want Chloe and your boyfriend to think there was something wrong." As he slightly rubs the sunscreen up towards my inner thigh, I try to conceal my slight moans.

Suddenly he stops and smiles at me. "Well I should get to Chloe. Unless you need something from me?" He says while getting up.

"No I do not! Get away from me." As he chuckles and walks away, I quietly scream in a towel. That cocky bastard! Why did he just start to touch me and then stop...wait no! Then I slap both of my cheeks and shake my head.
