His silent wife

My name is Sofia and I am twenty years old , I am still in college and I love studying. I have always been under the gazes of my parents . They love me so much that they can't spend a second without me even when I am at college . I am the only girl from my parents and two brothers who love me so much . okay maybe I am over exaggurating but still they love me so much .They don't show it with their feelings but they usually prove me wrong when they take time off from their office schedules and take me out every Fridays . I am the youngest and my family treats me like an egg , I am being pampered and given everything that I need .I love my parents so much and I always appreciate their efforts towards me . My mom is a good mother , she always makes me breakfast before i go to college , read me books and makes sure that I am alright and not a single scratch lay on my pale skin. At the moment I was busy on the mirror combing my kinky brown hair that reached just above my shoulders , mom says i don't look good with long hair so every month she takes me to a stylist and does my hair in her preference . My dad on the other hand , he doesn't talk that much but his gestures shows that he loves and cares about me .He would call mein his office and made me study all day along with him as he works . He is such a complicated but a very calm man , I usually do everything that he tells me .. That's his rules and no one breaks them . I get everything from them , Starting from food, water , shelter and all the basic things that I wanted to have in my life . I took the comb and put it on my dresser ready to walk from my bedroom door only to be opened by Mom , she looked at me with a sneer on her face before she averted her gaze on me .. up and down . And what do you think you are wearing, ?she spits and walks to the closet ready to take another cloth for me , mom .. I don't need anything flashy today . it's windy outside and I would like to wear my favourite shirt and long pants , I whinned . Stop disrespecting me young lady and follow what I am telling you .. I pouted and looked at her back resisting but she straightly rised her left hand telling me to stop . Bending my head with a sigh , I followed her gesture to change what I am wearing into a red dress that reached a feet after my knee .I knew I had no say in this . "Done ! " I announced after I came back from the bathroom, Turn ..mom instructed and I did like always , what underwear are you wearing , A visible frown was plastered on her tan skin . Umm... I couldn't form a word .I didn't want to be yelled on or slapped . Talk .. she barked making me flinch, mom just my favourite knickers . The one aunt Sharon bought for me , That's when her dmeouour changed , how many times have I asked you not to utter her name in this house Sofia , You can't breathe a word before taking her sinful name in your mouth . she gritted out and walked to me making me move back a little startled ..I ..I am sorry mommy.. I wanted to say . "Slap .. "She hit me hard on my cheek and twisted my ear. mommy you are hurting me , I cried out trying to be strong and force the tears to not fall from my face . you dare young lady talk back to me ,? she asks and I went silent , Sofia don't test my patience , I am your mother and I do everything for you, you wouldn't be who you are today if it wasn't for me and your dad . Are you trying to be ung-- Mommy I am sorry, I choked a sob . I understand that I have made you sad by uttering her name .I won't do it anymore .. I promised . She looked at me up and down once more and left my ear which right now I can feel a burning sensation from it and how red it is. Trying my best not to tremble under her gaze . I looked down and out my hands on my lower abdomen togethher and murmured , I am sorry mom .This will never happen again . Great , you always have to listen to mama and dad only . Hear me darling, she cooes and I nod . she took a string of my hair and put it behind my ear and told me to follow her to the dresser , Sit .. I did what she told me and not soon she started doing my make up . I gritted my teeth and fisted my hands , I hate this .. I don't like make up , I hate being caked up with all these, but I can't tell her . she is my mom and she will get angry and hit me or god knows what she will do to me if I open my mouth, There .. now that looks like my daughter . So pretty like a doll . I did look like a doll as I averted my eyes on the mirror looking at my face , Thank you mom .I said silently and took my shoes and walked out hand in hand with her tailing behind . Remember .. Behave at college .she warns after we were done breakfast . it was only the two of us today in the breakfast table , Dad and Tony and David were no where in sight . I just can't ask her right now , looking at my mom sharp eyes and soft face . I knew she was in a bad mood considering that the makeup wasn't helping hiding her feelings at all . I will see you later sweetie. Mom says and I replied with a silent .. Yes mother .
