Amber’s POV “Oh my god Amber, you look so beautiful”. Anna squealed from behind me, while staring at my reflection in the mirror, making me blush. “I swear, Alpha Liam is going to go crazy after seeing you looking like that”. I smiled shyly at her words. She leaned forward to whisper near my ear, “Or has he already gone crazy because of you”. “Shut up Anna” I tried to sound annoyed but this smile was just not leaving my lips. I can feel my face heating up and in the mirror I can clearly see that it has turned beetroot red. Anna laughed at my state. “Don’t get all red just yet. The night is going to be long for you” she teased me. “Go away. I am already nervous and you are not helping at all” I said with a pout while pushing her away from me. “Okay okay, I won’t tease you anymore” she said holding her hands up in surrender. But the mischievous smile on her lips was telling me that she wasn’t done yet. “I am looking good right?” I asked her while staring at myself in the mirror. “Girl, I already told you how stunning you are looking right now. If you don’t believe me then just wait until Alpha Liam devours you” she said. “Anna…” I shouted with flushed face and turned around to smack her mouth for teasing me so much. But she was already running away from me, knowing too well that I won’t be able to run after her in this floor length wedding gown. “You just wait, I am gonna tease you so bad on your wedding day…” I was threatening her when she cut me off and said, “Sure, but for now, stare at yourself in the mirror and imagine every sinful thing Alpha Liam is going to do to you, tonight”. She said from the door and before I could throw the hairbrush I lifted from the dresser, she closed the door with a chuckle and ran away. I smiled at my best friend’s words and sat down on the chair in front of the mirror. As you might have already guessed, it’s my wedding day and I am very very very happy. Of course, why wouldn’t I be? I am getting married to my fated mate, who loves me more than his life, just as I love him. The ceremony will probably start in half an hour. So I still have bit of a time until I go out. I am waiting in my room with a heart which is thumping loudly in my ribcage. I am thinking about every moment I have spent with Alpha Liam in this pack, even before we found out that we were mated. I basically grew up with Alpha Liam. As I am daughter of the Beta of the previous Alpha of Blue moon pack, Liam’s father. Liam is a year older than me but we used to play together all the time when we were kid. As we grew up, we became training buddies. But while growing up together I never for once imagined that we are going to be fated mates, neither did he. He had went abroad for further studies, before he turned eighteen. Three months ago when he came back from abroad after completing his studies and Amelia whispered in my head the word ‘mate’, I was beyond surprised. He was just as surprised. But soon the surprise was replaced by happiness. I was happy that I was mated to a person who I knew and respected since childhood. All those memories brought smile to my face and warmth to my heart. I heard a soft knock on the door followed by a voice. “I am coming in Am” It was Drake. He opened the door and entered into the room with a smile on his lips. I reciprocated his smile while getting up on my feet. “You look beautiful Amber” my best friend Drake said as he walked towards me. My eyes met with Drake through mirror and his smile widened. “I can’t express my happiness today. I am really happy for you, my bestie” he said with tears in his eyes. “Aww… Drake. Why are you crying? It’s not like I am going to leave the pack after getting married” I said while wrapping my arms around his neck. He also wrapped his arms around my waist and said, “I know. These are the tears of happiness”. I chuckled at his words and pulled away from hug, “Really?” He nodded wiping his tears, “I am really thankful towards moon goddess that she didn’t pair you with someone who is not a member of this pack. Or else I would have died without you”. I smacked the back of his head making him groan in fake annoyance, “Who told you, you can die without my permission?” I asked him while sitting back on the chair. “I didn’t say that I am dying right now. You are mated with and going to marry the Alpha of our own pack. So you are not going anywhere. That means I am not dying anytime soon” he said rubbing the back of his head where I hit him. I shook my head at his words with a smile on my face. He is not always so goofy and playful like this. Or should I say he is like this only around me and Anna, his mate. He is one of my best friend since childhood. Me, Drake and Anna are best friends since when we were kids. That is why our bond is unbreakable. “Okay, now get out. Let me calm my nerves down” I said to him. He gasped in surprise, pretending to be hurt by my words. “Oh god, you are so heartless. I never thought my friend is going to change like this after finding her mate. Oh moon goddess, please return my friend back to me”. “You know what, you deserve an Oscar for your over acting” I said while trying to put on an annoyed face. He chuckled at my words and said, “But you still look beautiful even with that annoyed face”. And I couldn’t help but smile at his words. He got up from the bed that he was sitting on and started making his way towards the door. “Let me leave you alone until Beta Frank comes and gets his daughter to walk down the aisle”. He stopped near the door and turned around to look at me, “And don’t be nervous. You are getting married with your fated mate”. “I am telling you with my own experience that there is nothing more beautiful and magical than being with your other half” he paused and I saw a very beautiful smile breaking on to his lips as he talked about Anna. I also remember how happy he was on the day when he marked Anna. He looked like he was the most happiest person on the earth that day. “I wish you all the happiness in the world”. He whispered the last part with a small smile on his face and left the room. My eyes again moistened at his words. I really wanted a brother all my life and moon goddess has blessed me with him who is more than my brother for me and I really love him a lot. I blinked my tears back. I can’t let them fall or else my make-up is going to get ruined. I moved my gaze to stare at my reflection in the mirror and I couldn’t help but smile. I was fiddling with my fingers waiting for my dad to come and get me, when I heard rustling sound coming from my window. At first I ignored it thinking that it’s just wind. But when I heard it again, my brows knitted together. I got up on my feet and started walking in the direction of the window to check what is going on. I could take only a single step when the door of my window opened and a man entered into my room through the window. My eyes widened when they fell on this unfamiliar man. “Who are you?” I asked in firm voice even though inside I was a little shocked and a little scared. The man has a very dangerous aura around him, which I have never witnessed before. He stood straight and turned around to look at me. He is very tall and masculine. He took a step closer towards me making me take few steps back instinctively. “Let’s save the introductions for later as we have to rush somewhere. Someone’s waiting for you” he said. I frowned at his words. “What do you…” I couldn’t even complete my sentence when he pulled out a small ball out of his pocket. My eyes widened even more when I realized what it is and before I could make any move to run out of here or shout for help, he threw the ball towards me. It landed near my foot and in a second whole room filled with dark smoke. It’s a smoke ball which is used as a chloroform when you want a large group of people present in a room to fall unconscious. And it works instantly. I tried mind linking Liam but the smoke was already entering my nostrils, numbing each nerve and senses in my body. I fell on the floor. My eyes started drooping. I was not able to move even an inch of my body. I used all of my strength to open my eyes and look at the person. He crouched down beside me and whispered, “Let us go to the….” I couldn’t hear what he said next. These were the last words I heard before giving in to darkness and losing consciousness.
