“Hayden, I love you.” I looked over at Amelia, her eyes sparkled in the moonlight. She amazed me at every turn. She was fun and spontaneous. She always made me smile, and she just said she loved me. I wrapped her in my arms, savoring this moment so I can remember it for the rest of my life.
“I love you, Amelia. I truly, and deeply, love you.” I felt ecstatic. Not only did she finally mark me, but she told me she loved me. I felt like I was walking on cloud nine.

Someone was knocking on the car window. Amelia grabbed her pants in a panic and pulled them up quickly whilst I lowered the window just a touch to see who it was.
