I woke up to a text from Natalie apologizing for her behavior last night, I told her it’s fine and asked her if she’s okay now and she replied with ‘I will be okay’ . Then I texted her back saying that it’s week end and we should probably hang out. She brought the idea that we should go to a club and grab a few shots together. After the call I went back to sleep because I didn’t have to work today. ‘I love weekends’ .

I and Henry go a long way back in our university days. Infact, we were university sweet hearts. We met at a friend’s party and clicked fast. We hung out so often and I fell in love with him. He was the most handsome boy in university and I was so lucky to have him as my boyfriend. I still remember our first kiss like it was yesterday. We went to see a movie together on Christmas Eve and after that he took me to see a firework display. It was so beautiful, it was a magical night. Then we walked down to my apartment hand in hand. I couldn’t help but stare at his handsome face , his sweet smile gave me butterflies in my stomach. His soft touch on my chin made my heart flutter. We got to my apartment and before he left he looked into my eyes and said, “You’re so beautiful Natalie, I’ve fallen deeply In love with you. I want to kiss you so badly right now”, and before I could say a word, he put his hands around my waist and kissed me passionate. My legs became weak and wanted to fail me at that point . His soft tongue pulled my lips apart and made its way into my mouth. He held me so tight that I could feel him getting so hard on me. I placed my arms around his broad shoulders “ Thank you for making my night so wonderful” I said and kissed his neck. “ you’re always welcome baby girl, now go in I want to see you walk into your apartment so I’ll make sure you’re safe”.

I walked slowly into my apartment and before closing the door, I blew him a kiss.

It’s been a week since I heard from Henry after spending Christmas Eve together , I tried calling him and his number wasn’t going through, I texted him but he didn’t reply and I went to his apartment which was near our university but I was told he went to his parents house and I didn’t have the address. I tried asking some of his close friends but to no avail. I’m so worried about him, I hope he’s okay and most of all I miss him badly. I was walking home one day after attending classes, I could see a figure of a man afar near my apartment ‘who could that be?’ I asked myself. As I walked closer and closer, I could recognize the person, I started walking faster towards the person ‘it’s my Henry’ the moment I reached the spot he was standing, I jumped on him and gave him a tight hug,he held me tight to prevent me from falling.

We sat on the sofa and Henry told me everything that had happened and how his parents got into a ghastly car accident and how his mum was confined to a wheelchair. Now he has to work to take care of his mum. I didn’t know when I started crying and he joined me and I had to stop and I consoled him. We sat on the sofa for some minutes holding each other’s hands.
