CHAPTER 4

Sitting in the car staring out the window as my mom and grandma talk on the way to grandma's place. We stopped to eat at this café, which looked so small but on the inside there was a lot of setting and an old-style look to it. The food was so good there and big. I sat there waiting for everyone to finish eating so we could go to grandma's. When everyone finished, my mom handed me the money to go pay for the bill as she took grandma to the car. When I got to the car, my mom was holding the door open on the driver's side, so I could get in the back of the car. The radio was on playing country music. I was in the back singing every song just because my grandma loved it when I sang. We finally got to grandma's and my mom got out and then me, then I went to help my grandma out of the car. Help her in the apartment after I unlocked the door, got her in her chair and she looked at me and said thank you Pumpkin. Then my mom looked at me and said" Are you staying here or coming home? I looked at her and said," I'm staying with grandma." My mom left to get back home, then grandma and I played cards till it was time to cook super, then I got up and cooked chicken breast. Grandma loved it when I cooked for her when she didn't feel like cooking. I baked beans to go along with it. When it was done, I made her plate first, then mine, then sat the plates on the table, and she would ask me to get her some water for her. I get her cup for water and get water in her cup for her, then place it on the table. I moved out my chair, so I could sit down so I could eat. After we got done eating, I had to make sure my grandma took her medicine. Then it was time to go watch TV, whatever grandma would put on. After her shows were over she would let me watch Disney, till eight at night. Then it was time to brush our teeth and go to bed. The next day, she woke up and was watching church on the TV. I asked grandma how she was feeling. She said excellent, then I walked to the kitchen to fix pancakes and bacon for breakfast. When everything was done, I fixed her plate, then fixed mine, then sat them on the table and grabbed her water glass and got her water in it, then placed it on the table, then went to her and told her food was on the table. After we ate, I made sure she took her morning medicine. When she got done, I started doing the dishes as she was playing music and netting. When I got the dishes done, I would sit on the couch and sing to her. This lasted till noon, then I would cook lunch and make sure she took her medicine. After all that was done, I would clean the dishes as she would relax in her chair and watch TV. When i got done, I would play with my car's and watch TV with her. About four o'clock was the time I would start cooking and make sure all the counter tops were clean by the time I was done cooking. I start putting the food on the plates and setting it on the table so we can eat. After we ate, I made sure she took her medicine, then I cleaned the dishes and go watch TV with her. That's when she looked at me and said, sweetie, I'm not feeling well, can you please help me to bed. I said yes I can. I help her to her bed.
