They arrived the hospital, proper treatment was given to Alex and they went home. The next day after the accident, Lynne was finally discharged from the hospital. Emmy and Lynne went to the account department but were told someone already took care of the bills and can't reveal the identity of the person. Emmy and Lynne kept wondering who this stranger was and what was he up to? As Lynne hobbled out of the hospital room, she couldn't help but feel a mix of relief and frustration. She was grateful to be alive, but the road to recovery was far from over. As she made her way home, Lynne couldn't shake off the nagging pain in her ankle. She had suffered a nasty sprain in the accident, and every step she took sent a jolt of discomfort through her leg. Once inside, she collapsed onto the couch, exhausted from the ordeal. Lynne gingerly propped up her ankle on a pillow, wincing as she applied ice to reduce the swelling. Emmy went directly to the kitchen to fix something for Lynne . After eating she drifted off to sleep. Jake walked into Alex's living room, dropping onto the couch beside him. "Hey, man, what's going on?" he asked, noticing the frustrated look on Alex's face. Alex shook his head, running a hand through his hair. "It's my dad. He's been driving me crazy." Jake raised an eyebrow. "What's he done now?" Alex sighed. "He's been praising Edward nonstop. I swear, he's more excited about Edward's accomplishments than he's ever been about mine." Jake snorted. "That's not surprising. Your dad's always been a bit...old-fashioned." Alex scowled. "And now he's wants to fix a marriage between Edward and Lynne. Can you believe it?" Jake's eyes widened. "Whoa, that's a pretty bold move. What are you going to do?" Alex leaned forward, his eyes burning with determination. "I need to win Lynne over, and I need to make a statement. Something that'll show my dad that I'm the better man and make my dad eat his words." "What of ...something like showing up at her work with a big sign that says "I'm interested?" Alex chuckled. 'That's a terrible idea,' he said, laughing. "But I like it." Then, a sly grin spread across Jake's face. 'I've got an even better idea. Invite her out on a date and not disclose your identity. Your identity should be secret admirer. Alex's eyes widened in surprise. "That's amazing man". Jake chuckled. "I know, right? But it'll definitely make an impression." Alex did private investigations on Lynne to know everything about her.stalk. Days after the accident, Lynne was still recovering at home, her ankle wrapped in a bandage. She was lounging on the couch, watching TV, when she heard a knock at the door. She groaned, not feeling like getting up. But the knock came again, more insistent this time. Lynne slowly got up, hobbling to the door on her injured ankle. She opened it to find a delivery guy standing on her porch, holding a parcel. "Hi" he said, handing her the package. "Sign here, please." Lynne signed for the parcel, wondering who could have sent it. She didn't remember ordering anything online. As she opened the parcel, she gasped in surprise. Inside, she found a beautiful dress, wrapped in tissue paper. It was a stunning red gown, perfect for a night out on the town. But what really caught her attention was the small card attached to the dress. It was an invitation, written in elegant script: "Dear Lynne, I'd love to take you out on a date. Will you join me for dinner 6 pm Napa Rose Saturday night? – A Secret Admirer" Lynne's heart skipped a beat as she read the card. Who could have sent this? And how did they know her size? Who was this secret admirer, and what did they want from her?" Lynne called Emmy told her what happened. Emmy told her to chill and go for the date atleast to get some fresh air. "It's just a dinner and besides you haven't even eaten out since you came to California. Baby girl take the offer. Remember you came here for a change I believe the change is coming much earlier than we expected " she said. "But on a serious note who could this secret admirer be?" she asked. "Will get to find out on Saturday" Lynne replied. After the accident Lynne's car was at the mechanic workshop for repairs. Lynne ordered for a cab to the university. Lynne stepped out of the cap and onto the bustling university campus. Now, she was here to reschedule her appointment. As she walked into the administration building, Lynne couldn't help but feel a little anxious. She had been really looking forward the appointment and now she was worried that she would fall behind in studies. She made her way to the reception desk and took a deep breath before explaining the situation to the receptionist. '"Hi, I'm Lynne Johnson. I had an appointment with HOD of Medical laboratory Science last week , but I had an accident and couldn't make it. I was wondering if I could reschedule for another time?' The receptionist looked up from her computer, concern etched on her face. 'Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that! Let me just check the HOD's schedule."She tapped away on her computer for a few moments before looking up again." How about next Wednesday at 2 pm?" It was finally Saturday the long awaited day Alex and Jake had been waiting for this day. Alex adjusted his coat, making sure it was perfectly fitted. He then spritzed on his most expensive perfume, the scent wafting through the air. Jake's eyes widened in shock as he took in Alex's transformed appearance. "Whoa, man, you look...different," he said, his voice laced with amusement. Alex smirked, running a hand through his hair. ,,"I'm just trying to make a good impression," he said, confidently. Jake raised an eyebrow. "A good impression? You're dressed like you're about to attend a wedding. And that perfume...it's like you're trying to seduce her or something." Alex chuckled his face flushing slightly. "Maybe I am," he said, his voice low" Jake's eyes widened in surprise. "Bro, are you...in love with this girl?"he asked, his voice incredulous. Alex bursted in laughter before meeting Jake's gaze. "Man, I don't fall in love, you know me "the playboy". I just want my dad to see how man enough. Much better than that Edward who keeps getting on my nerves. I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make that happen." Alex and Jake drove to the restaurant and took their seats at 6pm sharp. Jake's phone buzzed, and he glanced at the screen, a smile spreading across his face. "Sorry, Alex, but I've got to roll," he said, already standing up. Alex raised an eyebrow. "What's going on?" Jake chuckled, pocketing his phone. "One of my admirers needs my attention," he said. Alex shook his head, laughing. "You're unbelievable, Jake. You don't even know her name, do you?" "Details, details. I'll figure it out when I get there," he replied, heading for the door. Alex laughed out. "Good luck, man!"Jake waved over his shoulder, disappearing out the door. "Lynne stood in front of the mirror, smoothing out the red gown that hugged her curves perfectly. She had spent hours getting ready for this date, and she wanted to make a lasting impression. The gown was a deep, bold red that complemented her skin tone and made her eyes sparkle. The fitted bodice showcased her toned physique, and the flowing skirt fell elegantly to the floor. Lynne's hair was styled in loose waves, and her makeup was subtle yet elegant. She felt like a million bucks, and she couldn't wait to see her of her secret admirer's reaction when he saw her. As she slipped on her high heels and grabbed her clutch, Lynne's ride pulled up outside, and she slipped into the car, feeling a thrill of excitement. As they drove through the city streets, she couldn't help but wonder what the evening had in store. Before long, the car pulled up outside a elegant restaurant, and Lynne's driver opened the door for her. She stepped out onto the sidewalk, smoothing her dress and taking a deep breath. As she walked into the restaurant, the maître d' greeted her with a warm smile. "Welcome, miss. But before he could continue speaking, Lynne's gaze drifted across the room, and her heart skipped a beat. There, moving towards the restroom, looking impossibly handsome in his tailored coat, was Alex. She asked herself "What's he doing here? Is he stalking me? "Might this way, please." the maître d' said. Alex's evening took a sudden turn when he accidentally spilled wine all over his coat. He quickly grabbed a napkin, but the stain had already set.He rushed to the restroom to clean up. Lynne followed him to a cozy table by the window, where a breathtaking view of the city skyline awaited. Just as she sat down, a waiter appeared, bearing a champagne flute and a warm smile. Lynne felt anxious wondering why her admirer was yet to come. Alex in the restroom scrubbed at the stain, hoping to salvage his evening. With a deep breath, he smoothed out his coat and headed back out. As Alex returned from the restroom, he spotted Mr. Van McDonald and Edward making their way around the restaurant, checking on the evening's business."Wow what a coincidence, it's time to make my big move," he said. Moments later his heart sank as he watched Mr. Van McDonald's face light up with a warm smile as he spotted Lynne. "Ah, Lynne, darling! It's so wonderful to see you again," Mr. Van McDonald exclaimed, striding over to her table. Lynne smiled graciously, standing up to greet him. "Mr. Van McDonald, it's lovely to see you too." He beamed, turning to Edward. "And I'd like you to meet my son, Edward. Edward, this is Lynne." Edward smiled politely, extending a hand to Lynne. "Nice to meet you. I must confess you look stunningly gorgeous." Mr. McDonald turned to Edward, his voice low. "Why don't you keep Lynne company while she waits for...ah...her date? I'm sure she'd appreciate the company." Edward nodded, taking a seat next to Lynne as Mr. Van McDonald bustled off. Alex's anger simmered just below the surface as he watched his cousin. Edward, effortlessly charm Lynne. He couldn't believe how easily he did that. Finally, Alex's frustration boiled over, and he strode over to their table, his eyes blazing with anger. "What do you think you're doing, Edward?" Alex demanded, his voice low and menacing. Edward looked up, a hint of surprise on his face. "Just making conversation, What's it to you?" Alex's anger flared, and he slammed his fist on the table. "You know exactly what it's about. Your always everywhere trying to show off." Lynne's eyes widened in alarm as the argument escalated. "Alex, stop! This is ridiculous." But Alex was beyond reason. He lunged at Edward, and the two cousins crashed to the floor, punches flying. The restaurant erupted into chaos as patrons screamed and scrambled to get out of the way. Mr. Van McDonald rushed over, his face red with rage. "What is the meaning of this?" he thundered, trying to pry the two cousins apart. But Alex and Edward were too caught up in their fight to listen. Just as it seemed like things were about to get even uglier, Mr. McDonald, Alex's father, stormed into the scene, flanked by his team of burly bodyguards. Together, they charged into the fray, grabbing hold of both Alex and Edward, and forcibly separating them. The bodyguards pinned the two cousins to the ground, holding them in a firm grip until they finally ceased struggling.
