Chapter Seven (Part 2) The glass door immediately went up again, releasing the girl and accommodating the next person. A frail-looking and short kid with curly hair entered it next. Contrary to what we saw earlier, this kid is obviously nervous. His feet are trembling when the glass wall fell down and locked him in front of us. His expression has no traces of determination at all. All I can see is a kid, scared as hell. I almost feel sorry for him. He looks younger than the girl named Zephyre and even to me. His cleanly cut curly hair gave me the impression that he was just a normal kid trying to live a simple life before all these thing happened. Well, anyway... all of us are normal before this unexpected event happened. Doctor Mauricio also gave the kid the same instructions. "Rheig, do not be tensed. Just relax and concentrate." He said in a calm but serious voice. The scared boy named Rheig breathed heavily. I saw mom and dad clicking some buttons inside the control room again. I noticed dad pushing three buttons and then a portion of the floor where the boy stands suddenly created three openings. Then, three tables also rose from the openings. The tables are a few meters away from each other. Each of it has has a scattered plastic cups in varieties of colors: blue, red, and green. I suddenly had an idea about the boy's skill. "I need you to fix those cups and arrange it in each table based on their colors. Red for the first table, blue for the second and green for the third one." Doctor Mauricio instructed. When he flick his finger again, a huge stopwatch appeared on the huge flat screen. Looks like I was right about his skill. "Your time starts now..." the doctor declared. A split second after he uttered it, I immediately lost sight of the boy named Rheig. That's when I noticed that he ran--in a very fast pace that I could not almost see his body but only the traces of it. His speed is astonishing... moving from one table to another. My eyes cannot make up what he was actually doing. He is too fast! Faster than my eyes can take! He is like a wind that will swiftly brush your cheeks without you even noticing. I can only see the outline of his body as I continue to watch him ram while fixing the cups. He stopped after a few seconds, heavily breathing with his hands on top of his knees. The tables with scattered cups in varieties of colors are now neatly organized. The cups are now separated based from their colors. Blue for the first table, red for the second and green for the third and last table. What's amusing is that he even made a cup castle out of it despite the fact that it was not really part of the instruction Doctor Mauricio gave to him. I then stared at the screen to see how quick did it took for him to do all that. Three-freaking seconds. Now, that was extremely fast. Considering the distance between the tables, the scattered cups in different colors that he needs to arranged, plus he even made a cup castle. He's good. So I was right after all, he has an inhuman speed. Pretty cool. Claps filled the whole place again after Rheig manifested his skill. Zephyre... Rheig... "Azul..." I got pulled back from my train of reminiscence when I heard Lumence calling me. He was now in front of me, staring with his white hair gliding in the air. I notice a small bruise beside his lips. "They're now gone. They escaped, now we need to take you back to your house..." he said in a calm voice. Before could utter back my answer, J felt my phone suddenly vibrated. Nana Calling... I answered the phone call without withdrawing my eyes from Lumence. [Arylle! Where are you? I have been calling for awhile now. Do you know what time is it already--!] I inhaled deeply. "Yes, Nana. I'll be going home now, don't worry." [Oh you child! You're giving me real headaches. Please go home quickly, the food I cooked for you is getting cold now] "Okay. I'll hang up now." I said curtly before ending the call. "We'll be taking you home, Azul." Lumence said almost commandingly. Though the usual liveliness in his voice is back again, I can sense that there is something behind it... something hidden. Something that I want to know but, perhaps it's not the right time for that. Meanwhile, his equally mysterious twin is silent as usual. He was squatting a few meters from us while picking something on the road. I walk in front of my motorcycle and casually carry it to make it stand again since the blast earlier made it brutally lie on the concrete. I then opened the engine before looking back at Lumence. "You don't have to do that. I can manage on my own." My last words before I drove away from that scene. The freezing wind enveloped my body as I drive in that fateful night. Because of what happened, I can't seem to put my trust to anyone--even with those twins. Everything are just too fast. Like chaotic disaster that brought up my past to create a total nightmare at my present. I feel so clueless and I know I should have asked them about the things that they know and the things that they want me to know but I feel like I need to do something first. I need to go to that place as soon as possible. -- C. N. Haven
