Chapter Twelve (Part 2)
I traced my swollen back using my finger. While staring at my back I caught a glimpse of Gamence's reflection on the mirror. Hi is still currently stationary while his cold eyes burn into my skin.
His eyes are cold but I could almost feel the warmth of the way he stares at my bare back. His eyes moved from my shoulders to my shoulder blades and then to my waist. His silence told me so many unsaid thoughts inside his head. Thoughts that until now... are still a mystery to me.
Well, now that he's still there, standing and gawking almost naked upper extremities, he might be of good help.
"Hey, Gamence..." I tried to call his attention despite the noticeable concentration he's been giving me earlier.
He did not answer, his eyes remained fixated on my mirror's reflection.
"Since you don't have plans on answering my questions, maybe you can help me with something instead?" I asked while returning his cold but warm gaze with equal passion.
"What is it?" He said, his voice is husky in my ears for some reason.
"Can you remove these stuff on my back using your Telekinesis?" I pointed at my back filled with tiny pieces of shattered glasses. If I would do it manually, it will be really hard. But if I take advantage of this guys and his skills, then removing these hellish stuffs from my back will be a one hell-of-painful-piece of cake.
From my eyes, his stares shifted again to my bare shoulders. He gazed at it unmoved, for a few seconds, before lifting a single finger and with a simple flick of it, I suddenly felt an inexplicable pain in my back. Like thousands of needles have been forcefully pulled from my skin after being pierced there for a year. I can feel the blinding pain as the shards of glass tried to flee from my skin. I groaned but I stifle it using my hands, I don't want to alert any of my househelps downstairs.
It lasted for a fee agonizing seconds before I felt the last one left my bloody back. I can feel the beads of sweats forming on my forehead and neck as I endured the excruciating aftermath of it. Then, I finally removed the hand I clasp in my mouth as I tried to stand and turn around.
When I turned my eyes on him, I saw all the fragments of glass floating in the air. With another gentle gesture of his finger, sent the fragments of glass straight into my room's trash bin. He stared at it for a few seconds.
"Burn it..." he directed me.
I creased my forehead at him.
"Excuse me? Burn the what?"
He suddenly glanced at the opened window like there is something that caught his attention.
"Burn those glasses, don't throw it somewhere." He answered briefly again.
Before I ask him what he meant by that again, a sudden thing caught my attention which made me stop. It was like a faint flash of light briefly grazed my window for a split seconds. It was a quick ray of light as if someone directed their flashlight here or something.
"I need to go..." I was mildly surprised of his sudden farewell. He quietly walked towards the window and about to jump out of it like what Zephyre and her boy did earlier.
My eyebrows knitted again, makes me wonder the glimpse of light I saw earlier was a signal from someone, informing him to pack up now. Is it his twin? Is Lumence also here after all?
Before I could utter the words inside my head, Gamence is already in the position for his exit. However, his eyes briefly grazed mine for awhile.
"I know you have a lot of questions, Azul. Come find us if you are ready for the truth..." his words evaporated in the air as he exited...
...And once again I was left all alone inside my room.
The only remnant of the drastic events earlier is my widely-opened window, the remaining glass fragments on the floor and the single stem of rose lying on the floor with its petals sprawled together with a few drops of my blood.
I quietly looked at my reflection in the mirror again, and there I saw my skin as soft as before, as if those shards of glasses did not cut right through it just a few minutes ago.
I gently caressed my bare skin which is now as smooth as ever, free from any traces of wounds and scars.
Ah, the sweet power of regeneration.

THAT NIGHT I could not sleep, my mind is just to heightened with overloading questions that it refused to give me a break for the next few hours but after a lot of exhausting hours of wanting so bad to rest, it finally let me slip into the realm of the unconscious.
"Arylle..." I heard some familiar voices around me.
"Azul, wakeup! We need to go, they are here. They're after us."
Probably a dozens of voices are calling me, reaching out to me. But when I tried to open my eyes all I saw was blurry images of people moving inharmoniously. Even if I squint my eyes, I can't still figure out where the voices are coming from or who these people are.
"They got the serum! They got the serum and now they want to get us too. We must flee now."
I clasp my head tightly using both of my hands. The voices... it's like it's buried inside my mind. My head is starting to pound now like some huge drums are catastrophically banging amidst the unrecognizable voices.
"Run now! Run!"
I shut my eyes close as the voices did not stop hovering inside my mind. My hands are still clasping pounding head as if my life depended on it.
It felt like I was stuck in a terrifying time loop of nightmarish memories.
