The Prisoners

~ Beta Matthew’s POV ~ It took all of my strength not to kill the rogues after Malachi told me what had happened to Allison. How could any man do that to a woman. They were despicable and deserved a slow and painful death. Allison has definitely impressed me since I first found her passed out in our territory. I didn’t think that she would be able to hold her own in a training session with my warriors, so I put her to the test. Although she didn’t beat me, I could tell that she had a lot of potential. When I found out who she was, I was shocked. Not only was she my mate’s best friend, but she was the daughter of Alpha Jonathan and Luna Rebekah of the Silver Moon Pack. They were the second best pack around. Our pack is pretty strong, but not nearly as strong as they were. I don’t think that Alpha Malachi knows who she is yet, but I will let Allison tell him when she is ready. I needed some answers from the two rogues that came to our territory last night looking for Allison and I was going to get them one way or another. I approached the first rogue, he was chained against the wall in a cell that was surrounded by solid rock on three sides and a metal gate on the fourth side. As I entered his cell I said, “This can go one of two ways. You can answer my questions and I will torture your friend instead of you, or you can choose not to answer my questions and I can put you through the worst pain of your life. Personally, I hope you choose the second option. I am just itching to torture someone today.” The rogue’s eyes widened for a moment, then they went back to normal. It was like he was debating on which route he would take. Fine with me. As he was thinking about his options, I unrolled a cloth that had a bunch of different blades that I use for torturing. Everything in it is made out of silver. A wolf normally heals from cuts fairly quickly. However, when a wolf is cut with silver, it takes them ten times as long to heal, and it usually leaves a scar. I decided to pick up a basic dagger that was about eight inches long. Nothing too fancy, but it served its purpose. I took the dagger in my hand and started twirling the handle in my hand while my other hand was on the tip of the blade. I slowly walked towards the rogue. He wasn’t taking his eyes off the dagger in my hand. I placed the edge of the blade against his chest and asked, “Why do you want the girl?” He just laughed, good, he wants the second option. I cut open his chest with one smooth motion. He groaned in pain, and I smiled. This is going to be a long morning. Six hours later and the rogue is covered in blood, but I am no closer to having my answers. All we know for sure is that someone hired these rogues to find Allison and to bring her to them. I want to know who this person is and why they want her! If this rogue hasn’t broken in six hours he is not going to break anytime soon. Just means that it may take a few days to get the answers that I want. We’ll see how he is in a couple days with no food. ~ Alpha Malachi’s POV ~ I was frustrated that Beta Matthew couldn’t get any answers from the rogues yet. He has been in the dungeons almost all day. I trust that he knows what he is doing. He has been my best friend most of my life. I know that he won’t let me down. I spent most of the morning on the phone with the other Alpha’s of the pack’s in the surrounding areas. I wanted to know if they were having issues with rogues as well. I also did a little research about what pack Allison could be from. I know that I should have just asked her, but it seemed almost silly to bring it up now. There have been three packs that have disbanded due to rogue attacks over the past ten years. As I was looking at the pack’s that were attacked, I started to see a pattern. I wonder if all three of these attacks are related. Then it hit me, Sara knew Allison from her old pack. I pulled up Sara’s file on the computer to see what pack she was originally from. Let’s see, Sara found her mate, my Beta, six years ago. She was from the Silver Moon Pack. Okay, now I have a starting point. I researched what information we had on the Silver Moon Pack. They were attacked five years ago, one year after Sara joined my pack. Allison has been on her own for five years. I am amazed that she hasn’t gone insane already. Most wolves go crazy after a year of being on their own. Since I was looking into Allison’s pack I might as well try to find more information about her. I search for Allison’s name in the Silver Moon Pack. There were only two pack members with the name ‘Allison’. The first one I looked at would be 63, so that’s not the one I am looking for. The second person will be 18 in a week and a half. That has to be her! I opened her file and my eyes nearly popped out of my head. She is the daughter of Alpha Jonathan and Luna Rebekah! No wonder she had a difficult time finding a pack to take her in. She was a powerful 12-year-old that was trained by the second most powerful Alpha around. I bet that’s why she doesn’t like to talk about it. I looked at the time, and I realized it was past time for lunch. I opened the door and it looked like the files had exploded around the room. There were multiple stacks in different areas. Allison was talking to Caleb and Nathan about some kind of dispute that they were having. As soon as they left Allison noticed me standing there. I think that I freaked her out a little bit, because she started rambling about how she was just helping them with a dispute. I chuckled, and told her that we should take a break and go get some lunch.
