The Alpha’s Unexplained Feelings

~ The Rogue’s POV ~

Man that Alpha was thick. How dumb does he think we are. I have very good sources that say that the girl is in his pack. Why would he cover for her? Two of my friends went looking for her at their pack several days ago, and I haven’t seen them since. I bet that he has them locked up in the dungeon for some reason. Either way, the boss is not going to be happy when he finds out what happened. That Alpha won’t be able to keep the girl safe forever. She will be captured soon and brought to the boss, very soon.

~ Alpha Malachi’s POV ~ (Before the run)

I can’t believe that she agreed to go on a run with me. My wolf was practically doing backflips in my head. My stomach was in knots. I have never felt this way about going on a run with anyone before. I have been on plenty of runs with different pack members, but never one-on-one. Usually there were multiple wolves running at the same time. Something about it just seemed natural though. My wolf typically didn’t like going on runs with other pack members alone, but this time was different. I have felt an attraction to her since I first saw her in the dungeons, but my affection for her has been slowly growing over this last week. My heart almost broke for her when she said that she was thinking about her parents. I can only imagine what that must have been like for her to lose both of her parents and be left on her own in one fail swoop.

I was a little nervous about getting undressed in front of her, because I wasn’t sure that I would be able to control my wolf if we saw her naked. That is why I suggested that we go behind the trees to get undressed. My jaw dropped when I first saw her wolf. Her fur was so beautiful; I have never seen anything like it before. I could hear her wolf start to purr as I rubbed my scent on her. The sound was magical; it almost made me melt. During the run she bumped into me and ran off. My wolf found it amusing, no wolf had been so bold with him before. He decided to chase after her and play her game. We paused for a moment once we reached the lake with the waterfall. This was my favorite spot to come to when I wanted to relax. We had some more fun swimming and splashing around.

I was having the best night of my life until my Beta informed me that there were rogues being detained by the South end of the territory. I was happily surprised when Allison agreed to come with me. I wasn’t sure how she would react. I was rather impressed with how brave she was. I was absolutely furious when the rogue showed me the flyer. It took every ounce of strength not to rip them a part right then and there. I needed to know who was after Allison and why. I also felt a need to protect her and keep her safe. Why was she so important to me? Why did being around her make me feel this way? Something told me that my wolf knew, but he wasn’t saying anything.
