Chapter 47 Sincerely Apologize

615 Words
The principal watched Elysia  and Aurora argue. It seemed as though it would go on forever if he didn’t interject. He frowned and pounded on the table, shouting, "Ladies! Be quiet. Whether Aurora cheated or not, I will not judge.” Elysia  felt dissatisfied and stared coldly at Aurora. She snorted and shut up. She wondered why the principle was taking Aurora’s side when she was certain she had cheated.  The class snitch was almost never wrong about those kinds of things. All she could do was wait for a verdict. The principal sized Aurora up for a moment. Finally he said: "I was informed that Aurora had cheated, so I retrieved the CCTV." "The record showed that Aurora did not cheat, and she carefully answered all of the questions herself. No one expected a student who did not like to study could work so hard. I can’t help but give her my respect." He looked at Aurora in admiration. "How? How is that possible?!" Elysia  was shocked. "I’m sure someone saw Aurora cheating, or they wouldn’t have reported it to me. There’s no way that she is innocent." Elysia  didn’t want to give up so easily so she went to check the CCTV records herself. She was shocked at what she found. The CCTV showed Aurora, thoughtfully bent over her papers as she scribbled down answers. "Isn't Aurora a straight F student? How was she able to change so suddenly?” The principal looked disapprovingly at Elysia  and snorted coldly. "Mrs. Morris, I remember you promised Aurora in front of all of her classmates that you would apologize to her if she had the highest score.” "Are you serious about your promise?” "This... "Elysia immediately collapsed. She had given her promise, there was nothing else she could do. Aurora had not expected her principle to speak so highly of her. She was surprised. Was it true that he took a liking to the students that excelled and sometimes even took their sides? "If you apologize to me in front of all my classmates, then I will let it go.” Elysia  bit her lip and felt extremely uncomfortable. She didn't want to apologize.   Elysia her the lip and began her apology. "Well, all right, I’ve done you wrong, Aurora. I apologize to you, I’m sorry, I should not have been so quick to judge you without any evidence." "I promise that I will apologize to you again in front of the whole class." Aurora looked at her and gave her a gentle smile. It enraged Elysia. It was very difficult for her to apologize when she was so angry. "Mrs. Morris, you’re overreacting, I’m not a very fussy person. I just wish you wouldn’t have insulted my mother. Please, my mother should not be involved in any conversations at school again or I will not be happy." Aurora spoke in a way that was neither humble nor pushy, but to also remind Elysia  to watch her mouth. "Sorry, I will never mention your mother again.” Ms. Morris clenched her fists secretly and left the principal's office. Aurora watched her walk away. She was relieved and just wanted to leave, but the principal stopped her. "Aurora, wait a minute." "Is there anything else I can help with, headmaster?" Aurora stopped. "Someone asked me to pass something on to you, so you’d better take it before leaving." His eyes looked tender and even a little flirty. Aurora couldn’t help but wonder who the person was.
