Her magic
4045 Words
Three days! Three days it took for my heat to go we did nothing but make love not even sleep came. Maya dropped food and water three times a day. Haven’t seen anyone in three days I didn’t say goodbye to any off the guests that came to the ball. My heat came fast without a warning. I sit up in bed my bones ache and muscles sore. I look at Nikali still sleeping. I make my way to the bathroom and run a bath to ease my aching muscles. I slip into the bath letting the warm water do it’s job. I close my eyes relaxing while my muscles loosen up when I feel hands on my shoulders I look up to see Nikali staring down at me.
“Good morning”
“Good morning beautiful” he places a soft kiss to my cheek before walking over to the shower. Once we both finished and dressed we make our way down to the food hall for breakfast. Everyone is already seated.
“Well if it isn’t the love birds” trust maya to be the first one to comment she makes her way over to me and envelops me in a hug.
“ I missed you” she whispers
“ I missed you too” i pull away looking at everyone with cheesy grins on their faces.
“Good morning everyone”
“Good morning rose, glad you are feeling better. It’s nice to see your smiling face we have missed you!” Leo says though the disapproving look on Taylor’s face. I think she hasn’t missed me. We make our way over to the table as food is being brought out, Nikali fills my plate and I start eating while people are still staring like I’m an alien.
“What?” I ask annoyed having they got anything better to do.
“Nothing. Your just glowing that’s all” Jordan says
“What? Glowing?” What’s that surprised to mean.
“Like your skin is glowing” Micheal says. I look at Nikali he looks just as confused as me.
“Wait? Don’t you see it Nikali?” Micheal asks
“No”
“Get a mirror” Leo asks one off the servers. Not even a minute later a young girls brings me mirror I look at my reflection and there right my skin is glowing but how?
“How?” I look at everyone
“I’m not sure I will do more research on your family see if we missed anything. In the mean time I suggest you would be better to stay inside until the glow stops” Jordan says
“And what if it doesn’t stop?” I ask
“I’m not sure. I get on that research now” he stands bows then leaves the room.
“How come I can’t see the glow?” Nikali asks
“Not sure. Maybe it’s because you’ve been with her alone for four days” Micheal shrugs. I go back to eating my breakfast.
“Are we training today?” I ask
“Yes you and Leo”
“You ready to get your a*s beat Leo?”
“As ready as I’ll ever be” I laugh. Once we finish our breakfast we make our way to the training grounds.
“We fighting in wolf form?” I ask
“Yes” Nikali replies. I make my way over to the tree to shift once I’ve shifted I take my position. We do an hour training, I beat Leo of course. I make my way back to the tree and shift back. I make my way over to Nikali who is talking to Jordan and Micheal.
“Rose we have some more information that will explain your glow” Jordan says
“Let’s go to my office and talk” Leo says we all make our way to his office. Once we are all seated Jordan starts to explain my sudden glow.
“Rose your blood line comes from two different Alfas. Your mother was an alfas daughter she also had magic that ran through her blood line very powerful which would explain why it took so many packs and months to take down your fathers pack. Also your fathers blood line was blessed with magic” this new information was a little confusing did I always have magic or have I recently just gained it, I get up of Nikali’s lap and walk over to the window looking out the window hoping it will calm my thoughts. The room is silent for a few minutes I can feel everyone’s eyes on me waiting for my reaction on what I’ve just heard.
“Are you okay rose” Nikali asks
“Have I always had magic or is it recently?” I ask looking at Jordan.
“You’ve always had magic. They are tied to your emotions you may not have noticed them before due to not knowing what your looking for” he explains.
“So why was I glowing?” What emotion is that tied to. And what other powers do I have that I’m not aware off.
“I’m not sure the only way we can find out is to find another magical being to come and see if they know anything about your magic..” he pauses
“But we have a witch back in our pack of Nikali will allow her to come and Leo also allows her then she might be able to come and help in some way.” I nod and go back to looking out the window. I feel Nikali come up behind me. He places his hand on my shoulder and I feel my body relax under his touch. I just stare out the window a little longer with Nikali by my side he doesn’t say anything but he doesn’t need to for me to know that he’s there for me. The room is quiet I turn to face everyone and make my way back to the chair Nikali sits first and pulls me into his lap.
“Yes she’s more than welcome to come. I need numbers and when she will arrive? So we can prepare a rooms” Leo says
“Yes get in. Contact today and get her here right away.” Nikali says. Jordan steps out and comes back a few minutes later.
“She’s on her way she’s bringing her mate with her. They will be here in three hours.” Jordan tells Leo. Leo’s eyes glaze over as he mindlinks someone.
“The guards are expecting them and there room will be ready for when they get here”
“Are you like a walking library?” I ask Jordan. He chuckles and sakes his head.
“No I just no the right places to search for information.” We all laugh at his seriousness. I don’t think I’ve ever seen him not take anything serious in the sort time I’ve known him.
Later that day.
We’re stood on the porch off the pack house the guards let us know that the witch and her mate have passed through the borders. We hear gravel crumble under the weight of a car I look up and a black bmw is coming up the drive way it parks a few feet away from the porch and a young man gets out the car tall blonde curls and tanned skin he walks around to the passenger side door he opens it and a woman walks out she’s small dark hair and fair skin she looks up and walks up to us she smiles and it puts me at ease.
“Good evening, and welcome” Leo offers his hand and she takes it and smiles gently.
“Hello Alfa nice to meet you, I’m bonnie and this is my mate Caleb” she motions to the tall man behind her. She walks over to me and Nikali with Caleb behind her.
“Alfa Nikali nice to see you.” She bows and so does Caleb.
“Good evening bonnie. Caleb. This is Rose my mate, Rose this is bonnie and Caleb” they both bow.
“Luna Rose nice to meet you” they both say in unison.
“Nice too meet you both” I walk over and hug her she’s stunned at first then she lets out a little giggle.
“You’ve got your self a nice young lady Nikali” Caleb says
“I’m very lucky” Nikali replies
“We’ll seems all the introductions are done let’s go into the living area” Jordan’s says from the door. We all make our way into the house to the living area once we sit it’s straight to business.
“May I ask why I’ve been summons here? Jordan didn’t tell me why you requested me just that it was urgent” Bonnie asks
“Sorry about that. Luna rose has recently discovered that she has magic and we’re not sure what sort of powers she has” Jordan says
“My thoughts were correct. Your Queen has quite the powers Nikali”
“What do you mean your thoughts were correct?” I ask stunned my her statement.
“When I first got out of the car I sensed magics quite a powerful being then when I looked at you luna you have an aura not many will see it mostly magical beings” she replies
“Do you know what sort off magic that is?” Nikali asks.
“I’ve only ever met one other person with the same aura as the luna and that was nineteen years ago. I was young and we lived in there pack she came to see my mother she was pregnant and wanted a protection spell on her unborn child. We were expecting to be attracted. My mother couldn’t give her protection the baby had ways of protecting them both from harm my mother tried but none worked” she explains.
“Can I ask what pack you was in before you came to my pack?” Nikali asks.
“Yes.” She looks at the ground then looks at Nikali her eyes glassy with unshed tears.
“Blood wing” those two words stun everyone in the room. Caleb holds her hand tight as we are all silently looking at her too stunned to say anything. Jordan is the first to break the silence.
“How did we not know what pack you came from”
“You never asked. My mother sent me away three months before the attack. Then I met Caleb and he was apart of your pack you asked what pack I was from before yours but not ones previous. May I ask why?” Everyone looks towards me then back to bonnie.
“That is Roses father and mothers pack” Nikali says. She looks at him stunned then to me before tears fall from her eyes. I get up from we’re I’m sitting and make my way over to her I sit beside her and put my arm around her shoulder as she cries.
“My queen” she says
“Please just rose”
“I should have known you were their child. But we all thought she was having a boy”
“It’s okay”
“It all makes sense the war the protection. You are a very powerful being rose. The first female to your mother and father”
“First female?” I ask
“Yes they had an older child a boy Dylan. He was fifteen.” She says I can feel tears burn my eyes. I take a deep breath and swallow my emotion.
“I have a brother? Was he powerful?” I ask
“Yes he was but not as powerful as you. It was told that when your mother fount out she was pregnant that if it was a female that she would be a very powerful being more powerful than your mother. The elders told her to protect you at all cost. Your mother and father tried for years to conceive another child they almost gave up on the idea but then she fount out she was having you.” She says with a sad smile.
“ I’m sorry about what happened to your family and pack.” She say I give her a smile
“We can start training first thing in the morning. Now I know what sort off magic you come from I know just how to trigger it.” She says
“Is there anyway you can put a protection spell around the pack?” Nikali asks
“Sure but may I ask why?”
“Rose is in danger the people that took down her pack is after her. We’re not sure how they know or when they will turn up” Jordan says
“And how do you know this?” She asks
“She’s had warnings” Nikali replies
“May I?” She asks Turing to me.
“May you what?” I ask she holds her hands out flat
“Put your hands on mine I’m going to look into your memories” she says I place my palms on hers and her eyes go white. She takes a few minutes and says one word. My mother left name.
“Queen Rosie!” Everyone looks at her. Her eyes go back to there normal brown colour. I remove my hands from hers.
“I see. The queen herself sent you those messages. I will get on that protection spell right away but I need some supplies I will give you a list once I have everything I need it will be in place. Please show me and Caleb to our room I need to rest before I place the spell. It was nice meeting you rose I will see you in the morning” she says getting up from her seat bowing and making her way to her room with Caleb following behind her with Luca in front. Everyone is quiet not sure on how to break the silence when Luca walks back in to the room.
“So she was in Roses pack and I thought rose was the only living pack member left! So much for your investigating!” Luca says
“I didn’t think we needed to look into every pack member! I only looked into roses parents!” Jordan replies. The conversation getting heated I make my way back over to Nikali before I sit he drags me into his lap.
“Guys calm down!” I say they both look at me.
“Jordan can you look into my brother please” I ask
“Yes Rose is there a reason?” He asks
“Yes I want to know if he’s alive or dead!”
“Okay I’ll get right on it” he says standing and walking to Luca’s office Micheal follows him. Maya comes and sit next to me I can tell she wants to say something but she doesn’t.
“Spit it out maya!” I say she looks straight at me.
“How did you know?” She asks
“Maya we’ve been friends for years! I know when you want to ask something but scared to say it or don’t know how. So spit it out I won’t bite” I say
“But I might. No promises” Nikali says with a slight chuckle. She flares at him and everyone laughs.
“Do you want to go shopping tomorrow after your training with Bonnie?” She asks. I don’t even have to think about it I’ve missed spending time with her.
“Yes”
“I’ll pay!” Nikali says. He both stare at him he laughs.
“What my treat. You girls haven’t spent a lot of time together lately but there are conditions!”
“What conditions?” I ask
“You take your guards and you check in with at least one of us every hour” he says
“Deal” maya says. I glare at her I have to have baby sitters to go out!
“What if that’s all the conditions I’ll agree if it means spending time with you!” She says
“I have to have babysitters?” I say
“We’ll not babysitters just guards! It’s for your safety Rose! Please just take that or your not going” he says stern with abit off his Alfa voice coming through I can feel he’s getting angry but so am I.
“Guards and we have to check in? It just can’t be one? The guards could just check in with you!” I say. I can feel my blood burning it like lava in my veins.
“No! Those are the conditions!” I stand I can’t cook down it like the anger is just bubbling.
“NO!” I shout. He looks stunned then comes and stands beside me he tries to touch my hand but quickly pulls away.
“Rose you need to control your anger you boiling!” He says I look at him I can see the concern in his eyes. But I can’t control my anger.
“I can’t” I say “somethings wrong” I drop to the floor I can feel the heat coming off my body.
“Get the doctor!” Leo shouts
“Bonnies on her way down!” Nikali says coming beside me on the floor.
“Nikali why can’t I control it!” I say
“I don’t know but hopefully Bonnie does” I hear footsteps coming down the stairs and before I now it bonnies beside me on the floor.
“What happened?” She asks
“We was discussing going shopping Nikali set some conditions that Rose didn’t agree to and got angry at him. Her anger got out off control” maya says. I look at her and shock all over her face as she looks down at me.
“Her eyes!” She says. Everyone looks at me then bonnie grabs my face.
“Why are her eyes like that?” Luca asks
“She angry! Her eyes are showing what emotion she’s feeling. Red must be the colour they go when she’s angry. For future note don’t get the luna angry until she can control herself” she says looking around the room everyone nods.
“Rose I need you to look into my eyes and just listen to my voice okay.” I nod and look into her eyes.
“Your in a field full off flowers your laid in the middle and all you can hear is the nature around you in the distance is a waterfall the noise calming you close your eyes taking in the calm feeling coming from the noises around you” as she’s saying these words it like I can picture myself in that field with the sound off the water fall.
“Is it working?” Luca asks
“Yes her temperature as come right down” she says. I keep thinking off the soothing waterfall. She removes her hands from my face I feel calm but drained like all my energy had been drained I fall to the floor Nikali looking over me I can hear faint voices.
“What’s wrong with her?” I’m not sure who asks
“She’s used her energy. You should take her to rest in your room.” Someone replies. I can feel someone pick me up by the tingles I get I know it’s Nikali the voices fading as the darkness takes over.
Nikali POV
I sit next to Rose on floor watching as Bonnie calms her. She was hot to touch like she was in fire. Ive never seen her so angry before and by the looks on everyone’s face they haven’t either. Once Bonnie calmed Rose down she fell to the floor looking like she was dazed.
“What’s wrong with her?” Luca asks
“She’s used her energy. You should take her to rest in your room.” Bonnie replies looking at me I give her a nod. I pick Rose up she snuggles into my chest and instantly falls asleep. Making my way to our room I open the door I place Rose down on the bed cover her over with a blanket I kiss her forehead and make my way back down stairs. Everyone is still in the living area. Nobody’s talking.
“Alfa. It seems that I have everything for the spell if you need anything else you know where I am” Bonnie say I nod in response. She makes her way back too her room but Caleb stays.
“Caleb how is the pack back home?” I ask
“Everything is running smoothly. We have had no attacks no rogues in three days. We have had a few requests of people joining the pack but they are on a list for you too look at and meet” he replies
“Very well. I will sort that out when I come back”
“You’ve fount your self quit the woman there Nikali”
“Yes” I say with a chuckle.
“She’s a firecracker!” Kyle says from across the room
“You guys grew up with the luna?” Caleb asks
“Yes. Though we’ve never seen her get that angry before” Leo says
“If the stories bonnie told me about her mother are to go by then she will be one powerful wolf” Caleb says
“Did bonnie ever mention wether Roses brother survived?” I ask
“No. She thought everyone perished”
“Thank you Caleb I assume Marco is standing In why your here?”
“Yes I wouldn’t trust anybody else. I must go Nikali we’ll catch up some more in the morning. Give my well wishes to our Luna” he walks out the room and up the stairs. I turn my gaze to Roses friends.
“None off you have ever witnessed rose like that before?” I ask
“No.” They all nod in agreement just as I was about to answer Jordan and Micheal enter the room.
“Do you have any news?” Maya asks
“Yes” he answers and looks around the room. “Where’s rose?” He asks
“She’s upstairs sleeping” I say
“Right that might be a good thing I’m not sure”
“Good thing?” Maya asks
“We fount some news about her brother. He’s alive!” We all stand there stunned at his last words did we hear him correct!
“What?” I ask
“We thought the same but we also thought that rose was the only child of Alfa Tobias and Luna Rosie but it turns out bonnie was right she had an older brother Dylan he was fifteen and he was away on Alfa training camp when the attack happened. He went to an allied pack Alfa it was all set in motion by Alfa Tobias. I contacted the Alfa who took Dylan in I’m still waiting to here back” he says
“So rose has a brother out there somewhere?” Maya asks Jordan nods.
“Yes. I’m hoping he’s still at that pack but I’m not holding my hopes out”
“It’s getting late. I’m calling it a night I’ll speak to you all in the morning” I say my good byes making my way back to mine and roses room. I can hear roses steady heartbeat she’s still sleeping. I close the door behind me. I make my way to the bathroom I take a quick shower I put some boxers on and get into the bed rose instantly snuggles into me I place a kiss her forehead then whisper “I love you” into her ear it doesn’t take long for me to fall to sleep with the steady beat of my mates heartbeat.
