I opened the door and enterd and as soon as I entered, the conversation stopped and every body looked at me. My grand mother sat in a chair her back to me and in front of her sat a nan in his forty's as soon as his eyes landed on me, he scowled and was about to stand up when my grandmother grabbed his wrist making him lause but he yanked it back and stride off after stating that he would be back later. And on his way out, he claimed the door so hard it fell off its hinges. I looked at my grandmother and she still looked shocked. " granny you can't stay here by yourself, I will figure out something." I said pulling out my phone from my pocket and walking out of the room and called the only person I know has the ability to keep her safe.
" so you want me to keep her safe?" my father asked as we sat down in a restaurant just a few blocks away from my college. After I called him earlier today, he said that we should meet and talk in private which we are doing right now " yes, and in return I come live with you and assume my role as the Alpha." I said bluntly and in return, he smiled real wide I could almost count his teeth if I wanted to. " Alright, see you tonight son." he said and walked out of the restaurant. Now that my dad said he'd pick up my grandma from her house, I could rest assure that she'd be safe. So I walked to my next class. Surprisingly, there was a new student today and apparently he was in all the same classes as me. His name is Danny I don't know why but he doesn't like me and made it his mission to do whatever he can to get me in trouble.
I went to my father's house this evening and was in awe at the size of the mansion. I mean, I knew he was rich I just didn't know how much, until now. I rang the door bell and was greeted by a man who had salt and pepper hair making me believes that he was in his fifties. He asked me to follow him up a flight of stairs and down a long hallway that was lined with doors. We then reached what appeared to be the living room it was massive and had pale grey walls the couches were pushed back against the walls but not completely. In the center was a coffee table and in the front was a large flat screen television. In one of the couches sat my granny, next to her was my father. The both of them invited me to join them and I obliged. We shared tea for about an hour before my dad cleared his throat calling for our attention which we surely gave him. I even sat up straight despite the fact that the couch kept sinking. After a few seconds, he declared that he was hosting a party to celebrate the return of the Alpha. And so I invited my roommates. The party was not bad but it just wasn't my type. The guests started arriving around nine and my father proudly told everyone that the Alpha had returned. He made another announcement during the party that left me in shock. He anouced that the Alpha would be getting engaged soon. After thathat, I left the party and wondered around till I reached the garden. If I could describe it in one word, it would be, huge. In the center of the garden, was a fountain where I could see the shadow of someone sitting on it as I came closer, I could hear sniffling like the person was crying and the closer I got, I noticed that it was a gir I couldn't clearly make out her features for she stood exactly where it was dimly lit. I stood on the far end of the fountain without saying a word and she finally looked up at the sky, and noticed me, she hastily got up to leave but I stopped her by saying" you don't have to go… … The party is really boring, I wouldn't advice you to go back." I said making her pause mid step. " thanks for the heads up." she replied. I couldn't help but fall in love with her voice it sounded so angelic. And I was curious to see who it is. Yes I know curiosity killed the cat but I'm not a cat, I'm much more dangerous. She then invited me to join her at the fountain which I did. " you know I've not seen you at any of these parties before, how come," she said tome" she said to me. " uh, I'm a really distant relative." I replied making her nod in understanding " why are you here by yourself instead of there with everybody else?" I asked her while gesturing towards the party where soft music could be heard playing. " no, these parties are all the same, everytime the same people are invited, the same stuck up people who just pretend to like each other for dake of the Grand Alpha and now the Alpha, it makes me sick." she said and I could understand where she was coming from, well, mostly the only parties I had ever attended were high school parties and the only fake people there were the cheerleaders. I always wonderd why people had to pretend to like each other. The silence was broken by the sound of my phone ringing and I excused myself to take the call. One look at the caller ID and I saw Cole's picture. It was a picture I took of him back when we were in high school. He had a large grin on his face. It was his sixteenth birthday and his Dad had bought him a car. He stood in front of it and I took the picture. I picked up the phone and immediately, he started telling me how Kyle had delayed him and that they'd just reached the party and were looking for me
