Hiro's Journey

Tarsen industries, one of the biggest and most technologically advanced industries in the 1800's, was currently undergoing research for genetic mutation at a secret nuclear power plant. The owner Richard Tarsen had a plan, to mutate the cells of his son who was weak and feeble and birth, but before his plan could be completed, the nuclear plant exploded releasing toxic fumes causing an acidic rain to fall on all of America. Soon after people who were affected by the acid rain developed mutant abilities and human cells began to mutate more, and more cases were discovered round the world. Some say it spread like a virus and went airborne, while others say the acid rain got into the plumbing system, but no-one really knows how it spread or how more and more people were mutated, but it wasn't long before most of the world's population had developed one sort of special trait or the other and soon the concept of 'everyday life' was anything but ordinary. Thought it seemed like everyone one had become mutants, there were some who didn't have any special ability, there were those who were non-mutants, and as a result, were in constant need of protection, and that was exactly who Hiro Junpei was. With the rise of mutants the rate of crime had also increased and as a result the Mutant Rampage Control Unit, or the M.R.C.U for short was established, and they were in charge of ensuring peace and fighting crime, they were looked at as heroes, and this is what Hiro wanted to become, but the dream seemed far fetched Hiro was 14 at the time and had no mutant abilities, which already made him handicapped for the world he lived in, he was 5ft 3inches tall and had sea blue eyes, he had curly blue hair which matched his eyes, but he was pretty wimpy and wasn't on the muscular type, but he wanted to become a M.R.C.U member so much that all this didn't matter to him, he would do whatever it took to get into the M.R.C.U. Ignoring his own personal ambitions and reasons, Hiro wanted to join the M.R.C.U because his father, who was now forced into retirement due to the poison which was sent into his blood stream during his last battle with a lady who called herself the white witch, was formerly a member of the M.R.C.U and all he wanted was to make peace in the world, but due to the previously stated poison, Hiro's father, Gund Junpei, who had incredible physical abilities had been on a sick bed for nearly six years now and not been able to use his mutant abilities. All these thoughts raced through Hiro's mind as he ran to school. He attended Hokly high, in his town Hokly city, and at the end of the each year, schools around the world would scout for talent amongst public underdeveloped schools like Hokly high, and each year students would fill in forms and send back to the schools, and after an analysis, they would undergo a field test before being finally accepted into the school, and this was why Hiro was rushing to school, most of the time the M.R.C.U didn't send out forms to public schools, but this year they had, and Hiro wasn't gonna let this opportunity pass him by, he ran through puddles and ran into some people, but that didn't stop him. He finally arrived at school and the whole place was filled with student. Normally school started by 9 o'clock but since it was a public school, most students came by 10 or 11 or didn't even come at all, but it was only 7:50 but yet the place was filled.The word that M.R.C.U had given out forms to public schools spread like wild fire and nearly everyone in the city knew about it, so it was no surprise that no-one wanted to miss this opportunity, but the swarm of students punching and kicking eachother kinda made Hiro scared of going in, but he knew he wouldn't get one of he didn't try, so with all confidence he had, he gulped down all the spit in his mouth and dove straight in to the swarm, but immediately recieving a flurry of kicks and punches, he flew out the same manner with in which he dove in. He dove in a second time and got double of what he originally experienced, but this time he continued to push forward recieving every mutant powered attacks that came his way. He eventually got to the front with a nosebleed, but he was lucky enough that it was only a nosebleed, he could've broken an arm or leg but nonetheless he was at the front ,and tried to look for which form belonged to the M.R.C.U. Most forms from different schools had different colours for their forms and the M.R.C.U form was white, but that was the problem, only few were colour coded and the rest were white making it even harder for him to find the form, unlike Hiro, some students had mutant abilities which helped them find specific items, whereas Hiro had none. Papers were flying back and forth and students were still struggling their way to the front of the line while Hiro was clueless on what next to do, he knew that the forms wouldn't be much due to the fact that they were a public school, and that some teachers and staff would've probably taken some already as a reserve for their children, and some students had managed to take a form or two successfully, so he wasn't even sure anymore if forms were still available, besides some kids might have the same idea and go for other schools forms, but he made it this far, the least he could do was at least try, he used his hands and eyes to scheme through each and every form trying to locate anyone that had anything to do with the M.R.C.U, he kept on searching and searching but then his eyes glued onto one form, it was white but had a red stamp on it, so he lifted it up with hope in his heart, and was surprised at what he saw. At the top of the form was written 'Mutant Rampage Control Academy application form', Hiro was so happy, his eyes started to water up, filled with happiness he screamed at the top of his lungs 'Yes finally, I found a M.R.C.U form!!!', immediately he stopped the whole room went dead silent, it was so silent that one could here a pin drop, then soon after all eyes were on Hiro, he could feel the death glares all the other students gave, and knowing he was a non-mutant, he had gotten him self into some deep trouble, Hiro quickly turned towards the crowd and began running through them once again, except this time, he held the form close to his chest and ran forward, the attacks of course we're ten times stronger than before, and unlike before, all of them were aimed towards Hiro. Hiro ran with all his strength, and as fast as his legs could take him, hoping to just get away from the crowd that followed him, he ran straight for a while but then turned into an ally and knocked over some garbage cans, the students and the front tripped and fell but the students behind them just jumped over the trash cans, and some even used the other students as stepping stools. Hiro continued down the alley and soon ran into the streets, he then took a left and jumped down into a construction site and landed on some sand, then he continued to run forward, the students at the front who jumped landed on bricks and cement, while some stopped seeing it was a construction site, but some still jumped and landed in the same manner as Hiro and continued to chase him. Hiro was getting tired of running and his legs were getting numb, but he kept running but as he was about taking another turn, he felt his legs being held together and fell down, when he turned to look he saw his foot tied in some yellow glowing rope, and the rope came from a girl who chased him, she held the rope in her hands and ran up to Hiro who was helplessly lying on the floor, and took the form and started running off loosing the yellow rope on Hiro's leg. When Hiro got off the ground he knew it would be close to impossible to get the form back now and the only thought that raced through his mind was 'I should've just kept my mouth shut, and who knows if they'll release forms next year, after all my hard work..., I still couldn't....,I still couldn't....' he let out a scream of frustration and said to himself 'I'm sorry dad, but I failed.., I guess I'll just head home',he then went back to school, picked up his bag and started heading home.
