Xander POV "No, Since you don't want to reveal your identity about being a witch with me then why should I bother to tell you about my identity “ I said Judging from her expression she seemed shocked at the disclosure of information. Her being a witch was only my guess, thanks to her, now it’s confirmed. It's not my fault that I am smart, blame my genes for it. “How?” She asked stating the obvious. “What do you want?” I asked ignoring her question. She looked at me dumbfounded. “What do you want in return for saving me. You don't expect me to believe that you saved me out of sheer kindness. Do you?” I explained. “But I did save you out of kindness. Forget it, I will tell you what I want in the meantime. Right now you can have your porridge” She said. Wait, She expects a wolf to recover with a damp porridge. “ Funny, I will go for a hunt once she leaves “ I thought. Previously, When Amelia left the cave for food, I checked out the surroundings. When I walked out of the cave I could sense a barrier protecting the cave but that barrier somehow didn’t affect me. From what I saw, I could indicate that I was on a mountain. At first, I decided to leave for my pack at once but then decided against it. The first issue was that my wolf was not healed yet. And the second issue was Gamma Victor. Though I could have easily defeated him in a battle, but the after-effects of the war still lingered on my wolf. Wishing myself a speedy recovery I walked back to the cave. I hoped Nick was alive so that we could win the upcoming battle. "Hey, what are you thinking? Drink up otherwise the porridge will turn cold " Amelia said breaking my chain of thoughts. "Nothing, I will drink it. If there isn't anything else then you can leave. I want some rest" I said. "A simple thank you won't hurt. Can you at least show some gratitude towards the person who saved you when everyone was so busy to care about you" lily said "Who does she think she is? No one can talk to me like this." I thought. Anger was flooding my veins. I bet my face would be red right now. And steam would be blowing from my ears. I tried to calm myself. "Watch your tone witch" I said in a threatening voice. Amelia's face changed from calm to a feisty one. "You better watch your mouth before speaking mister. You are in my territory. If you want to get alive out of here, you better drop that attitude of yours. Because it certainly won't work well with me " Amelia responded in a hostile tone. "This girl is something. I don't feel annoyed or hostile toward her. I just met her a few hours ago yet I am starting to like her. Specifically, this confidence of her" I thought. As her light brown eyes were staring at me, I could see a burning fire in them. I was attracted to them just like a moth is attracted to a flame. A moth doesn't know that this fire could burn him alive and would spare no mercy to him. But I knew that I could perish this flame and capture the beauty. Her curly brown hair matched her eyes. Anger stiffened her delicate curvy body. She looked as delicate as a thin glass that could break at a mere touch. But I knew otherwise. She was strong and a hard nut to c***k. A slight pout could be seen on her plump red lips. Desire started to fill my mind as the smell of honey filled my nostrils. My eyes darkened and my vision got clouded. "You better rest up. I will visit you another time." Amelia said. Her voice pulled me out of the spell. "Okay" I replied flatly. They both glared at me and left the cave. "What happened to me? I never had felt this strong attraction toward anyone. I certainly had my share of girls but none of them caught my attention. Wait! I know, she is a witch. She had definitely put a spell on me to seek revenge. Otherwise, why would I be attached to her? Yes, this makes sense now" I said to myself. After making sure that the girls were nowhere in sight I stepped out of the cave ready for my night hunt. As my wolf was not there I had to hunt in the human form. With the help of a knife, I found in the cave I hunted a rabbit. Meanwhile, I also explored the surroundings. From what I could judge I could tell that the cave is located at the backside of the mountain. This cave was well hidden. On the front side of the mountain, there were houses and huts. This should be where her coven lives. From Amelia's temper, I guessed that she lived in the central part of the coven, where people of high rank live. Their security appears quite negligent. I easily roamed the entire forest yet none of them noticed me. I strolled back to the cave and roasted the bunny. I heated the cold porridge and swallow it up with the roasted bunny. "That's called a meal," I thought After finishing my midnight snack, I went to bed. As I laid down my thoughts drifted toward my pack. "How are they living under the command of Victor? Had my pack been sad upon hearing my death. Had they accepted Victor as their new Alpha? Had Nick survived the battle? I must get back soon to get my answers. Pack members must not suffer. I will fulfill my role as an Alpha. As long as I am alive, Victor won't win." With a sharp intake of breath, I closed my lids and drifted off to sleep. My mind only had one mission in it "Protection of the pack"
