The past few months have been great. Leon and I are still doing great. I got a job working with Lilly at the clothing store. It's not much, but it's better than nothing. Kai, though, has completely stopped talking to me, but at least he still hangs out with the group. Tonight the guys are coming to pick Lilly and me up for a movie night at their place.

We waited out front for them to finally arrive. We hop in the back seat. There's a girl already in the car. She smiles kindly at me and Lilly. We smile back and introduce ourselves.

Lilly: I'm Lilly. Briggs' girlfriend.

Me: And I'm Melanie. Leon's girlfriend.

Monica: Oh hi. I'm Monica. I work with Kai.

Me/Lilly: Oh cool. Nice to meet you.

Not much later we pulled up to their apartment. It's much nicer than I thought it would be. We all stepped out of the car and spotted Kai. He's out on the balcony smoking a cigarette. We all headed upstairs, Leon leading the way. Finally arriving, Kai opens the door. Everyone enters. Kai grabs Monica's hand and walks her over to the couch. He offers her a drink. She can't stop smiling. Leon grabs my hand and gives me a short tour.

Leon: Down that hallway is Kai and Briggs' room.

He points to the right of the kitchen and right in front of us is his room. We enter his room. He closes the door. He pulled me close and his lips couldn't find mine fast enough. His kisses are fiery. The butterflies in my stomach are going crazy. I wrap my arms his neck. We fell back onto his bed, never breaking the kiss. Suddenly, I feel something warm on my stomach. Slowly moving higher. I grab his hand.

Me: I'm sorry Leon. I don't think I'm ready for that yet.

Leon: Oh. Ok I'm sorry. I didn't mean to rush you.

Me: It's fine. I just need a little more time.

He stands up and begins heading towards the door. I stop him.

Me: Are you really upset because I'm not ready?

Leon: No. I was ashamed of trying without thinking how it might have made you feel. I'm sorry angel.

He takes my hand and we go grab drinks before joining the others on the couch. During the movie, I glanced over and saw Kai looking at me. He turns away and whispers something to Monica. She starts giggling. I see her looking at Leon. I don't think too much about it, so I turn my attention back to the movie. Leon comes closer and whispers in my ear.

Leon: I kinda want to go back to my room. We can just talk if you want.

I nod my head. I kissed him on the cheek and we got up, heading back towards his room. Once back in his room, he closes the door. He sits on the bed and pats the spot next to him. I took a seat next to him. He scoots closer. We sit there in silence. I began to speak up.

Me: So your room is-

His lips are back on mine. I crave his kisses. I feel myself slowly falling back onto his bed. Once again, I feel something warm on my stomach. I grabbed his hand and I pushed him away.

Me:I thought you said we could talk.

Leon: Angel, I know you feel it. We don't have to have s*x, but I really enjoy kissing you. Especially now that you aren't shy anymore.

I turn away. Can't believe him. I stood up and started fixing my clothes. I can't believe him right now.

Me: Leon. Can you take me home?

Leon: What? Why?

Me: I just want to go home.

Leon: Whatever. Get your stuff.

I gathered my things and walked out the room. I stand by the front door. Leon sits back down on the couch. I clear my throat.

Me: I thought you were taking me home.

Leon: Someone else can take you.

Kai looks at me. Then turns to Monica. He whispers something, then she nods her head. Her eyes immediately flew to Leon. I saw him get a little smirk on his face.

Kai: You ready to go home?

Monica: Well, I wanted to hang out more. So can I maybe wait for you?

Kai: Uh....yeah. Sure. I'll be right back. Come on Melanie. I'll take you home.

Lilly: We'll come with. Briggs is staying the night.

Leon doesn't even look my way or say anything as we leave. As I'm walking out the door, out my peripheral I can see Monica getting up. We make it to the car. I get in the passenger seat as Lilly and Briggs take the backseat and Kai drives us back to our apartment. Once we were back, Lilly ran towards the building with Briggs in tow. Kai looks at me. I don't look his way. One: I don't want him to see me cry. Second, I don't want him to pity me, and it leads to something else. Like him trying to kiss me.

Kai: Hey Melanie. You ok? You look upset.

Me: I'm fine. Thanks for the ride home.

I opened the door to get out. But he reaches over and closes the door. He has a serious look on his face.

Kai: Mel. Talk to me. I can tell something is bothering you.

Me: No. You want to use me to hurt Leon again. How could you be so low?

He looks dumbfounded. He hits the steering wheel. The horn goes off. I'm startled by his action. He grips the steering wheel tightly and lays his forehead on the wheel. He looks back over at me.

Kai: Listen. Whatever he told you isn't true. He'll say anything to make himself look like the victim. I didn't do whatever he said I did.

Me: I'm supposed to believe he would lie about catching you with Summer in his bed? He's your brother. Maybe not blood, but you grew up together.

Kai: What?! That's what he told you?! Melanie! I never slept with Summer! I hated her! There's only one girl of his that I've wanted to-

Me: To what? It doesn't even matter. You slept with her! I know it. That's why you've been staring at me since I started dating Leon. You planned on trying to sleep with me too! You weren't even happy for us.

Kai: Excuse me?! Sorry if I sound rude, but you don't know s**t Melanie! There's a reason why I wasn't happy for you guys. He's a piece of s**t and you deserve better. But you have to find out for yourself princess. Now go before I get accused of trying to make a move on you. And if you're curious about me and Summer, ask Lilly.

Princess?! Why does that sound familiar? I finally decided to look at him. He looks so serious. I nod my head and get out to head upstairs. He drives off without another word.
