December, 23rd Odell was required to show up to the NFL headquarters. His sports agent Zeke Sandhu and his mother/manger Heather by his side. His hearing on whether or not he'd be suspended for the rest of the season due to his behavior in his game against the Panthers was ultimately appealed and was tossed out. However he wasn't let off so easy. Odell was to issue an apology to his team, fans, and the whole Giants organization, he'd also be suspended for one game.
Josh Norman was fined $26,000 for his unsportsmanlike conduct against Odell after NFL chairman reviewed multiple footage of several incidents that lead up the nasty game. The Panthers pregame ritual of bring a bat signifying that they were "bringing the wood" was ultimately banned, and bats were no longer allowed on the field from that point on, they would also issue an apology for their actions against Odell. NFL chairman considered it to be bullying, and as adults that was something that The NFL did not take kindly too.
"Are you going to celebrate with Massy and everyone at her party?" She asked poking pieces of lettuce with her fork.
Odell shook his head no.
"Why?" She asked with a confused look.
"I mean, there's no reason to party with her, I tol her happy birthday this morning, but that was it." Odell said with no emotion.
Heather frowned putting her fork down and leaning back in her chair. She had known Massy and Odell had a falling out but either one explained the details to her. "So what exactly happened between you two? And don't give me that shrug of the shoulders thing." She demanded pointing at his shoulders already knowing her son was seconds away from doing it.
Odell leaned back in his chair slouching down. "She was worried about me not being happy, and didn't want to hold be back from accomplishing anything, I think it was more so of her scared of the distance and not seeing each other, but I mean, our seasons barley over lap, when I'm on, she's off, and when I'm off she's on, but I think she was probably worried I'd cheat on her." He finally confessed to his mother.
Heather raised her hands as if she was confused. "Well Odell don't you think that a legitimate reason, I mean you are both 23, and barely in the prime of your careers, I mean you too have so much more to do."
Heather adored Massy, not just for her son, but in general, she had built a friendship with her, occasionally texting her here and there checking on her, giving her advice on certain things, but she had to agree with Massy. Heather and Odell's father were around the same age as them when they got together in the same situation, both young athletes barely in the prime of their sports career, not thinking things through, their relationship didn't last, leaving Heather to be a single mother of one for a while before she eventually met and married Odell's stepdad. Though Odell's parents were still friends to this day, that was something that Heather didn't want for her son.
"Odell, Massy is not a regular girl, she's not going to throw herself at you because you're Odell Beckham Jr from The New York Giants. That smile and charm will only take you so far with her until you have to start showing and proving that this is really something you want with her. You two have an amazing friendship and I know it because I've seen it! And by acting like you don't care and giving her the cold shoulder." Heather put up her index finger up before Odell could cut her off, once again already being a step ahead of her son. "Which! I already know you're doing, because whenever you don't get your way or get want you want from someone, you completely blow them off as if they don't exist, and by you acting that way you're only proving her right. That you're not ready to take on a relationship. This is a relationship that you may have to actually work for if you truly want it Odell! You can't keep dropping people of the face of the earth because they tell you no! She probably saw that you may not be ready for a commitment, she may not be ready for a commitment and to save you both pain and heartbreak she said no, but you only see it as you're not getting what you want, which is her, but you are to thick headed to realize that."
Heather shook her head as she sat up straight again. "You may look just like me, but you are Odell Beckham Sr through and through." She began poking at her salad again. "It's crazy how much you are your father." She said, then placed the fork in her mouth.
Odell had never thought about it this way, all he knew was that he wasn't getting what he want and who he wanted. Odell hated when his mother did this, he hated when she went on these little speeches because 9 times out of 10 she was right, and she knew she was right.
"And for the love of God and my sanity! Please get rid of Liz before she traps you! You are a pot of gold to her, and I don't mean that in a positive way. She's probably at your house now poking holes in your condoms." Odell frowned not at his mother speaking about condoms but at the fact that she was probably right again. "I can see it now! She's a gorgeous girl, prettiest green eyes I've ever seen! But you are one sonogram away from being a meal ticket."

Massy's birthday week didn't start light. Nike ended up throwing Massy a huge birthday celebration as a thank you at Jay-Z's elite 40/40 Club. A red, white, and blue color scheme covered the 12,000 square foot venue turning it into The All-American Dream. Massy's high school and UCLA College Soccer Jersey was framed in huge plaques and given to her as one of the few gifts. Records she had set and broke displayed down the sides of the jerseys.
It was a huge turnout, with Nike and Jay-'s name behind it everyone who was somebody was there. Friends and family, her teammates, fellow athletes of different sports, actors, artists, everyone coming in support of the young athlete. If Massy didn't know the person she'd meet them that night.
After Odell was chewed out by his mother on his behavior towards Massy he decided to show up, along side best friend Jarvis, and Giants teammates Victor, and Brad, along with others. Odell still kept his distance from Massy, still remaining quiet with her. However Odell was still entertaining dancing and partying as usual.
Massy second night of partying took place on Christmas Eve, though her real birthday was yesterday she still wanted something small. Still filled with friends and family, teammates and fellow celebrities, The Sky Room, placed on the rooftop of the Fairfield Inn Hotel, located in Hell's Kitchen on the West Side of Manhattan hosted the event, the breathtaking view of the city skyline and the Empire State Building was the perfect setting for a casual birthday get together.
"What is he doing here if he's going to act like this! He did this last night!" Massy said into Jarvis's ear.
"He's only here to watch you." He simply said.
Massy frowned and c****d her head back. "What am I five!? I need a babysitter!?"
"It's more of a..... Making sure no other man talks to you kind of thing, you know nobody messes with you." Jarvis explained then took a sip of his drink.
Massy shook her head. "Oh so if he can't have me nobody can!" She pressed her lips together, throwing a hand up.
Jarvis shrugged his shoulders. "Basically. Makes sense to me." He said as if it wasn't a big deal.
"Of course it makes sense to you, you're a man!" She said rolling her eyes and folding her arms across her chest.
