The Prophecy

Chapter 3 Blending In

     A week after leaving the king Markus ended up settling down in a small town named Crescent City It was a beautiful town next to the ocean. After spending most of his life in the mountains Markus decided the seaside was a nice change.

     Now because fairy's are a long lived race money is not an issue. What was difficult was converting so much fairy money into human money without anyone asking to many questions. First thing he did was but a house. Second thing he did was register with the offices of life resources. There he registered as a shoe maker. Of course he had to prove his skills, but that wasn't a problem. Making shoes was a family skill that has been passed from father to son for as long as he could remember. Since he had a viable skill that would help all of man kind he got a good sign on bonus, plus he gets to teach others how to make shoes as well. Surprisingly he is excited to teach others his craft. He had three classes a day and made between ten and twenty pairs of shoes a day. On Saturday and Sunday he didn't have classes so he decided to explore the town and beach.

     Saturday he went fishing with some of the males from the school. He had fun. At the end of the day he showed the men a few tricks for fast drying their fish so it will last longer.

     Sunday he joined other people from the school at a local farm helping them to pick the rest of the corn in the field.

     In that field is where he met his soul mate. Only he didn't know it right away.
