Chapter 11

Chapter 11 Wyatts pov Wyatt walked into the library to find Terrence, his gamma, bleary eyed with multiple tomes in front of him. Terry had always been the brains of the operation when it came to him, Wyatt, and Bennett. They had grown up together and been best friends all their lives. Wyatt made Terry his gamma because of his intelligence. He had a knack for only needing to study something once and it was memorized. Historical texts, ancient battle plans, anything really. Terry probably knew this library like the back of his hand. And that was exactly why Wyatt was hoping he was in here. He walked over to the long wooden table that Terry was hunched over with a single lamp on. “Hey Terry, have I got a story for you. I was in my office doing some research on the laptop when Selene popped in.” Terry whipped his head up with a startled look on his face. “Selene? As in the Moon Goddess?” “One and the same. She said she couldn’t tell me what was going on with my mate directly but she could point me in the right direction. She said we are looking for one of the oldest books in here and it will be covered in dust. She said its a book that has been forgotten and has a legendary prophecy in it.” “Well that will point us in the right direction. Come with me, I think I know where to start.” Terry led Wyatt to a large floor to ceiling bookshelf in the back of the library. Mostly everything here had a layer of dust on it. Terry started to climb the ladder to the top of the shelf. “I am going to start tossing you down some books for us to start on.” He began tossing book after book down until Wyatt had a stack of about Thirty on the floor next to him. “We can start with those and always come back for more.” “Oh, is this all?” Wyatt asked sarcastically. He sent out a quick mindlink to Bennett. Hey bud we may need your help in the library. This will be a long night. He looked at his watch and noticed it was about a quarter of two in the morning. He carried a stack of books to the table that Terry was sitting at and grabbed one off of the top of the pile. As he opened the book, his shaggy black hair fell into his electric blue eyes as they skimmed the page. His mind began to wander to the mate he hadn’t even spoken to. Her long fiery orange hair that brushed the top of her rounded butt. Her small slender frame, she couldn’t be taller than 5 '4". And those eyes. Those deep emerald eyes that looked like they could see through anything. Her soft pink lips that he wanted to kiss so badly it ached inside of him. And her name. Piper. He hadn’t even said her name out loud yet and he was dying to know how it would sound on his lips. “Yo, earth to Wyatt. I have been talking to you for the last minute.” “Bennett, how long have you been standing there?” Wyatt asked, startled out of his thoughts. “Long enough to know you need to get some rest. Go lay down and rest if you can’t sleep.” “I will just be in my office, link me if you guys find anything at all.” Wyatt left the library and headed back to his office. He stretched out on the couch and everything immediately faded away.
