"My office, now!" He whisper yells at me. Rose whimpers in my head, but I just huff.

Daniel stalked off towards the pack house, leaving me there on the training grounds with everyone staring at me and whispering.

"Is that Melody Bright?"

"What did she do to piss the Alpha off?"

"I heard she's a b*tch."

"Didn't she just come back?"

"I heard she was the reason we had a rouge attack."

"Is that the Beta's sister?"

Wonderful! Thanks to enhanced hearing I now know that everyone will be talking about me at the party tonight. I thought about just going home, not even going to his office, but that would be extremely disrespectful since everyone knew he ordered me to. Me being his Goddess given mate, his Alpha orders don't effect me, but I would like to stay on his good side. I still have 10 days here.

The walk back to the pack house seemed so short, I sighed reaching for the handle to the back door. I secretly wished someone in there would stop me so I would have an excuse to go home, I really hate confrontation. Just as luck would have it, someone did stop me, but they only wanted to say welcome back. The delay was minimal.

Storming into Daniel's office without knocking, I flopped myself onto a couch in the corner. If confrontation it is, than he won't get polite and calm Melody. No, he gets b*tch Melody. The Melody that comes out when a pervent thinks its okay to grab my ass, or when some random guy screams in Kellie's face on the subway. I take my phone out of my black yoga pants pocket and started scrolling through i********:.

"REALLY?!" He yells at me.

I looked up at him with knitted eyebrows. "What's up?" I ask calmly.

"What is with the attitude today?" Daniel asks.

"I might have a better attitude if you didn't just embarrass me in front of twenty-five percent of the pack." I said in a snarky way, pretending to look back down at my phone.

His face dropped, maybe he is realizing that he just humiliated me. Daniel stands up from the chair behind his desk, sauntering over and sitting close to me on the couch. He takes my phone out of my hand, sitting it on the coffee table in front of us. Taking my hand into his he looks me deep in the eye. His eyes are so beautiful, so deep, I could get lost in them.

"I'm so sorry for embarrassing you, I lost my temper. When I was mind linked that you were sparring with Lydia I freaked out. She is the Lead Female Warrior for the hand-to-hand combat division, but I should've known you were strong enough to take anyone. I've just been waiting for you for so long. I'm afraid to lose you, or be rejected, but I behaved poorly." Daniel said.

Maybe I was wrong about this whole situation. He might be okay with a long distance relationship for a year or two. I jumped to conclusions that he would want me to quit and move here permanently. Daniel moves his free hand to cup my cheek and smiles sweetly.

"I've loved you since we were pups. I didn't know you were my mate till yesterday, but I had a crush on you since we were younger. I always felt overly protective of you. I thought at the time it was a future Alpha protective of a Beta pup, but now I understand that it has always been love." He said glancing at my lips.

I made the first move this time, leaning forward and capturing his lips in mine. My free hand grasped the wrist of his hand that was still cupping my face. Leaning in a little more, he deepened the kiss. My stomach was doing summer-solts and the sparks imitating from him made me weak. His tongue brushed across my bottom lip begging entrance, my lips parted and our tongues danced in a rhythmic pattern, reminding me of a passionate Pas De deux.

I let go of his hand, lifting mine and running my fingers through his silky hair, pulling him closer. The heat emanating from his skin is making me wet. His hand moves to my waist, pulling me impossibly close. His kiss is so intoxicating, I just want more. I throw my leg over his to straddle him, grabbing at the hem of his shirt and pulling away breathlessly to pull his shirt over his head.

My eyes run the length of his broad, muscular chest. He is the most handsome man I have ever seen. His lips find there ways to my neck, while his hands are running up and down the length of my back. The action sending a shiver straight through my body to my core. Liquid pooled in my panties, elicited a deep growl from Daniel. When I pulled back and looked into his eyes they were the dark pupils of his wolf. Daniel closes his eyes, taking a deep breath.

"Baby, we should stop now or I won't be able to help myself." Daniel said in a gruff voice.

I climbed off his lap, sitting incredibly close to him and putting my head on his shoulder.

"Can we announce you as my mate tonight before the pack run? I know you might not be ready to take on Luna position, but I would really like the pack to know my search is over." He asked.

My heart warmed even more. He is considerate that I'm not ready to be a Luna yet. I snuggled in closer to him.

"I would like that." I respond smiling to myself.

"I'm so glad you came home this Christmas. When you move your stuff back for good, after the holidays, I would like for you to move in with me." Daniel said.

I pulled away from him abruptly.

"Who said I was moving back for good?" I growled out.

He looked at me seemingly confused. "I assumed since we found out we were mates you would move back home. I can't move to New York, I'm the Alpha here. The pack needs me and even if you dont take on the responsibility from the beginning, you are destined to be our Luna."

"I've only worked in New York for six months, I was hoping we could do long distance for a year or so. I was going to fly home every chance I could, no matter my irrational fear to die in a firey death. I had also hoped you would come visit me some in-between." I said hurt evident in my tone.

"Melody, baby. I dont want to fight with you but I can't just let you walk away." Daniel said in a low voice.

"LET ME!" I yelled, standing to my feet and stepping away from him. "You aren't LETTING ME do s**t! I will make my own decisions about my life Daniel!" I scream before storming out.
