Chapter 9 Will you Marry Me?

After Sophia put on her seatbelt, Nathan started the car and drive. 

"Why didn't you answer the call of your mom in the elevator? 

"We argued earlier in the hospital. She forces me to marry the Pres. of Ferrell Group in place of Hannah." "She wants me to marry to save the Hankey Group. She wants me to be a sacrificing lamb, "she looked outside and inhaled.

"I'm afraid of the consequences." She focuses her eyes on Nathan. He slightly stopped stop the car. He suddenly turns his head to Sophia. 

What! they force you to get married to someone?

"Don't you dare! Sophia." 

And to whom? 

The Pres. of the Ferrell Group?

Did your grandfather know about this? 

"We had an agreement, your grandfather and me, that we will get married on the 28th of October," Nathan said.

"Huh! That was next month."

"My grandfather was never back out of his words," Sophia says. 

"This was supposed to be my surprise for you; after our product launch, we will have to go to our wedding planner, the one we won last time."

"We will plan our wedding arrangements, but it seems it's not a surprise anymore."

" We will put forward our wedding if you want to. But it's not a grand wedding that you dream of."

" Actually, Nathan, I'm not too fond of a big wedding. I like a simple military wedding with both our family and friends."

"As you wish, Sophia," he holds her hands and clasped them together, and puts them on her lap. Nathan drives the car to a  fine dining restaurant. 

We will eat outside tonight?

"It's our three months together, let's celebrate!

 Wow! this place has a cozy ambiance, Nathan."

Yeah! this is one of our prices last time, including the wedding package."

What do you want to order? "This place was popular with its excellent service," Nathan says. 

We both ordered a new Mediterranean dish as well as wine. Their main courses were delicious, but the desserts are more memorable as this was both our favorite. The dining area is designed for intimate conversation. The band plays soft music. And the staff are discreet but attentive when needed as they finish eating. Nathan takes out the box in his pocket. He kneels on one knee, and opened the box, and says, 

"Will you marry me? 

He still looked for Sophia, waiting for her answer. She was crying; while extended her left hand to him.

"Yes! Nathan, I will marry you."

He slips the ring on her finger and wipes her tears. 

While are you crying? 

"Tears of joy, I'm happy, Nathan."

"Silly girl." 

Due to Sophia's mother insisting; on marrying the man she did not meet. He ended up proposing to her. He drew her close to him; she hugs him back. He saw a flash of a camera in a corner. He pressed her head to his chest. He doesn't want her to expose to the public yet unless they were married.

He doesn't tell Sophia that a paparazzi is stalking them. Because of their height difference, He put his chin on top of her head while they hugged, feeling each other heartbeat. After their dinner date, they decided to watch a movie in Sophia's place. They watched action movies. They even exchange thoughts on the plot of the movie. 

"Apart from office work, What are your other hobbies? Sophia ask. 

"How about this? If we're not busy, we could spend the weekend together. Anything you want to do like swimming. You can take me whenever you want."

"Show me the things that you like doing; that would be fun," Sophia said happily. 

Nathan speaks, "I like swimming actually, and I haven't gone in a long time." 

"I don't know how to swim."Will you teach me? Sophia says. 

"Yeah, sure!

They just sat on the sofa watching while talking. After an hour, Sophia yawned. 

"Someone was sleepy." "Let's call it a night! Nathan stood up. 

Sophia follows to the door. He opens the door and kissed her forehead, and say goodnight to each other. 

But as Sophia was about to close the door, Nathan returned and pinned her on the wall, kicking the door close. He kissed her affectionately; Sophia returns the kiss. When they were both out of breath, they embraced and leaned against each other, whispered sweet words, and kissed again. Their kiss ended. 

Sophia felt dizzy; her heart was full of emotions. She never felt so good before because it was her firsts kiss and the person was Nathan, the one she liked. They did not complete the last step of their intimacy as Nathan wants her first on the day of their honeymoon.

"Nate, I'm scared! As she leaned on his chest.

"I'm afraid one day; you will abandon me and leave."

"Then you are not going to fight for me, and you will watch me leave." If that day really comes, you have the courage to hold onto me."

"I need to be coaxed sometimes..."

Hearing what he said, she smiles; she slowly put her hands on his abs and rub them slowly. 

"Stop it! Sophia." Nathan's breath stops.

" If you continue doing that, I can't control myself anymore."

 He lifted her chin and looked at her. He kissed her deeply, and Sophia returns the kiss, their tounges dances with their ambiguous breaths. Nathan's hands brushed against Sophia's legs; suddenly, he stopped. He was going out of control. He whispers to Sophia, 

"You will be the death of me; every time we met, it was difficult to control myself not to kiss and hug you." "We trained to have high tolerance and self-control in seduction, but my wall collapsed when it comes to you." "I don't know when I can control myself, so please! Sophia, stop teasing me."

"I can't stand it anymore if you continue doing that."

"You know that I've been longing to hold this ab of yours," Sophia shamelessly said.

"What a shameless woman," then he laughs so deeply.

"Hah! you laugh! this is the first time you laugh."

"You know that laughing relieves stress." "Being happy lifts your mood and prolongs life."

" It would be best if you laughed or smile often."

" I only laugh at your shamelessness."

" Don't worry, and this body is reserve only for you to hold," laughing loudly.

Then he sniffed her neck and kissed her forehead, and they fell asleep.

The next day, Sophia wakes up to find the space beside her; she walks out of the bedroom and finds him in the kitchen cooking breakfast. She leaned her head on his back while hugging him. He turned around and hugged her.

"Good morning, Angel," and kissed her forehead. 

"Good morning to Nate!

"Sit and wait for a minute. I'll bring the food out."

" What did you call me about earlier? 

Nate, why is that?

"I like you to call me that only grandpa and my two friends called me by that name."

Nathan cooks french toast, sausages, and egg sunny side up with my low-fat milk and fruits and juice for him. Nathan receives a call from his grandfather.

Is it true, Nate, you proposed last night? To whom? To Sophia?

"Yes! We're engaged! And who told you about it?

" It's on the headline of the daily news. Congratulations! I'll be visiting the office one of these days." Bye!.

Why did grandpa call?

"It was my proposal to you last night. It was at the headline."

Sophia opens the news site on her cellphone.

Who's the mystery woman hugging Nathaniel Dyson, the woman-hater? 

Is it true or not? 

The woman-hater Nathaniel Dyson was kneeling and proposing to the woman? 

Nathaniel Dyson was engaged to a mysterious woman? 

"Please don't bother about it; they did not see your face, Sophia."

Mmm, Sophia continues reading the news.

After their breakfast, the doorbell rings. Nathan opens the door and assist. Adams came with a bag of clothes he requested to bring. 

"President about the news... "

"Ignore it for a while; as long as they don't see Sophia, it's okay."

"Tell the PR dept. to be on stand-by."

"Ok, President."

Sophia and Nathan went to the hospital together; they would like to talk to Sophia's grandfather. Nathan knocks at the door.

"Come in."

They enter the ward of her grandfather, and he was the only one inside. 

"Nathan and Sophia, you're both here."

"Yes, grandpa!

"Sophia and I are already engaged. We are planning to have a wedding on the twenty-eighth of October."

 "I don't interfere with both of your decision. "Actually,  both of you should long be married a few months ago as both of your grandfathers, and I talk about."

"Don't worry! Sophia, when your dad arrives from a business trip, we will talk about solving the company's crisis."

"Grandpa, I'll ask my grandfather if we can collaborate with your company," Nathan speaks. 

"I can also help check the company's financial records and help make a marketing strategy and advertisement, grandpa," Sophia says.

"Ok, I'll consider both of your suggestions."

"Please don't bother about what your mother said yesterday; I will not allow it to happen."

"My words still stand in the family. May you both have a blessed and wonderful life ahead."

"And give us great-grandson soon, ok," while smiling. 

"Grandpa! Sophia shout while blushing. 

"We will work hard, grandpa, so that you can see your grandson soon," Nathan says, lips curl up.

"Ok, enough of the talks. I need to rest."

 Sophia hugs her grandpa, and they both said goodbye. They both went to the attending physician first to ask about the condition of her grandfather. Sophia saw Hannah and Josh in the corridor coming in their direction. Hannah saw her sis.

How's grandpa?

"He was fine now." "The doctor said don't agitate and stressed him, and he will be home before his birthday."

Sis... Who's he? 

"Oh, I'd like you two; to meet my fiancee Nathaniel Dyson!

"Nate, meet my sister Hannah and his boyfriend, Joshua Ressler."

"Nice meeting you! Nathan shakes hands with Josh and whispers, "thank you for giving up to a wonderful woman," smirking. 

Hannah was stunned and can't move to her place. How come Sophia meet him, he was more handsome than Josh.

"Bye, guy! we had someplace to goes to."

They went out of the hospital holding hands and went straight to Sophia's place. As the product launch day was near, they decided to stay at home and converted the other vacant room into their home office. They both cook their lunch and eat, clean and wash the dishes together. They do their own work in their home office as if they were in the office without disturbing each other.
