Did You Tell Liam?

I woke up around 5 am, I suddenly heard noises coming from Lily's room.

"Go back to sleep," Ben said.

"Is Lily in her room?" I asked.

"What time is it?" Ben asked.

"It's like 5 am," I told him. "Did you leave Lily in her room, alone."

Ben laughed and said: "No, Sky, my colleague Peter brought her home, he was watching her."

"Oh, okay," I said. "I'm going to go check on her."

"She's fine," he said as I got up from the bed. "You're going to be a great mom." I tried to ignore his words as I walked over to Lily's room. She looked so peaceful. I brushed her hair with my hand and then headed back to Ben's bedroom.

"Happy?" he asked me.

"mmhmm," I said as I kissed him.

"Don't start something you can't finish," he said.

"Goodnight," I said softly.

"That's what I thought," he said as he turned over and fell back to sleep. I fell asleep but not for long. 4hrs later, Ben woke up and went to work out. I decided to go and take a shower. I got dressed in some black joggers and a white T-shirt I tied in a knot to make shorter and tighter. I went to check on Lily before I made breakfast. She was still asleep. I went to the kitchen and made some coffee. I decided to just have some fruit and a bagel. I prepared Ben a bagel with cream cheese and poured him some coffee. He came into the kitchen wearing some grey joggers and no shirt. His hair was wet so I knew he had taken a shower before he came to eat breakfast.

"I told my friends about us," I told Ben as I handed him his plate. He showed no emotion so I began to get worried.

"Good," he said. "Did you tell Liam?"

"No, not yet, I haven't seen him much," I said honestly.

"I think you should tell him and soon," Ben said sharply.

"I will," I said. Ben had just put his dad voice and I didn't know if I should be ashamed or turned on.

It was Sunday, so we decided to go to the park with Lily. We first drove to my apartment so I could change my clothes. I quickly got dressed and then headed back to the car so we could take Lily to the park. She was really excited. I have gone to the park with Lily before and only twice with Ben but this time was different. We played with her on the slide. We walked her all around the playground set. We pushed her on the swing. Ben stayed closely by my side. Usually, when he came he would sit on the bench and talk on his phone. I was pushing Lily on the swing, she was giggling and Ben was holding my hand. I looked up and smiled at him. I wanted to kiss him but I didn't know if that was a good idea. All of a sudden I noticed Mikey and Kevin. I knew if they were here that meant either Ms. Winters or Liam was here with them. I looked around and then saw Liam standing by the sandbox.

"Damn it," I whispered.

"Are you okay?" Ben asked me.

"I think he saw us," I said.

"Is that a problem," he said.

"No, but I just want to be able to tell him before he finds out on his own," I said. Ben looked upset but I just continued to push Lily on the swing as nothing else mattered. Liam also looked pissed but I tried to avoid his gaze. Ben noticed Liam looking at me and he grew angrier. He slipped his hand around my waist and I knew he was trying to send a message to Liam.

"Stop, please," I said to Ben. He got annoyed and walked over to the bench. I took Lily out of the swing because she noticed Mikey and wanted to go play with him. They ran to the sandbox and played with a ball Mikey had brought. Liam approached me and from the corner of my eyes, I looked at Ben, now on his phone but paying very close attention to us.

"Hey, how you been?" Liam asked.

"Good, I guess," I said sincerely.

"We should talk," Liam said. I turned to face him and said

"Yeah, I need to tell you something."

"Ok," Liam replied.

"I need you not to overreact, get angry or hate me," I pleaded with Liam.

"What's wrong," Liam said as he brought his hand to caress my cheek. Ben noticed and shot up from the bench and took long strides towards us.

"Get your hands off her now," Ben shouted.

"Ben!" I yelled. "Stop, please."

"What the f**k is your problem," Liam snapped.

"Sky, we are leaving," Ben said. He grabbed my hand and walked towards Lily.

"Sky, what the hell," Liam said. "Are you really leaving."

"She is," Ben answered.

"Sky!" Liam called out again.

"I'm sorry Liam, I'll explain later," I said as Ben continued to pull me to Lily. Ben didn't like my choice of words and turned to kiss me forcibly. It was rough and hurt a bit. He had no compassion just force. Ben then looked at Liam and said: "Don't you ever come near her again." I was hurt and upset. He took Lily in his arms while still holding mine and dragged me back to his car. I stayed quiet and looked at Ben with pleading eyes. I wanted him to apologize but I knew he wouldn't.

"Take me back home," I said to Ben softly.

"I am," Ben said. I noticed he was going back to his house, not my apartment.

"No, I mean my place," I said a bit harshly.

"SKY!" he shouted. "We are going back home." I knew he was upset but he was being unreasonable. I wanted to hit him and open the door and just run back to my place. I just wish he would talk to me instead of getting upset and shutting me out. He parked the car and grabbed Lily. He took Lily inside and completely ignored me. I knew I was supposed to follow him but I was now getting upset myself. Ben took Lily to her room and then came back to me.

"What am I going to do with you," Ben said. "I think it's time to show you what happens when you disobey me."
