I just had a conversation with my dad. He wants me to not start college in the fall and take the time to evaluate my “choices”, as he told me.
It’s not about me having choices, he wants me to help him on the farm. I have told him, I really do not want to be a farmer here in Ohio. I got a partial scholarship for football for a college in Pennsylvania.
I love football and I’m sort of good at it. I want to go there and play. My dad argues that my chances of going professional football are very slim, I know this. Doesn’t mean I can’t try.
I even argued, I can get a business degree and if things don’t work out with football, I would have the degree and it can help with the family business. Farming is a business.
