I am not understanding why I can’t seem to get a hold of Marta. I tried calling her, she isn’t answering my texts. I even tried to go see her at her house, or at least the house she lived in.
I found out that it wasn't her family as she told me. She was only renting a room at the house. The owners had no relations to Marta.
The people there told me she had moved out and to go back to Colombia permanently. Apparently she did that so she could raise her baby with her husband there is what they told me.
I’m sitting in my car in disbelief. This can not be true. The woman I knew wasn’t married. The house owners had to be mistaken.
I heard a knock on my window. I looked up to see a guy about my age standing there. I rolled the window down a bit, to see what he wanted.
